Abstract

Learning that is carried out in the world of education is currently running on new policies by implementing the 2013 curriculum education system which is rooted in local and national culture, which means that it must provide opportunities for students to learn according to the needs and potential of their respective regions so that students can take advantage of it. technology in the learning process, thus education will continue to progress and develop. One of the teaching materials that can be made following the 2013 Curriculum under regional potential and utilizing technology is the edupark e-book. This study aims to produce a practical science edupark e-book. The type of research used is Design Research with the type of Development Studies using the Plomp model with the Preliminary Research, Development or Prototyping Phase, and Assessment Phase stages. The instrument in this study was a practicality sheet, namely a questionnaire on the responses of educators and students. The practical analysis technique of the science edupark e-book uses a Likert scale with 4 assessment categories. The e-book practicality questionnaire includes the following 4 aspects: (a) usable; (b) Easy to use (c) Appealing and; (d) Efficient. It can be concluded that the IPA edupark E-book with a scientific approach based on Padang Beach tourist destinations meets very practical criteria for all practical aspects.Keywords : E-book, Edupark, Scientific Approach, Practicality

Abstract

The development of science and technology is increasing rapidly. Improving the quality of education needs to be done as an effort to national development in the field of human resources. The government continues to improve the national education system so that it can compete with the global world. One of them is by improving the curriculum. Currently the curriculum in effect in Indonesia is the 2013 curriculum. In the 2013 curriculum, the realms of attitudes, knowledge and skills must be balanced. Therefore, new breakthroughs are needed in the world of education, one of which is integrating Indonesian local wisdom in learning. The research used is the meta-analysis method. This is in accordance with the problems and research objectives, namely to analyze the effect size on the use of integrated teaching materials integrated with local wisdom. Based on 20 journals analyzed using meta-analysis, it is known that integrated teaching materials of local wisdom are effectively used at the high school level. In addition, integrated teaching materials for local wisdom are also effective in improving student learning outcomes, and suitable teaching materials to be developed containing local wisdom are worksheets.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat khususnya di bidang pendidikan menuntut masyarakat untuk dapat memahami dan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Salah satunya dengan menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis IT seperti e-book. E-book yang dikembangkan harus didasarkan pada potensi atau karakteristik kawasan sekitar peserta didik yaitu dengan memanfaatkan taman edukasi (edupark) sebagai sumber belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan E-book Edupark Fisika dengan Pendekatan Saintifik pada Destinasi Wisata Panorama Tabek Patah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian desain pendidikan dengan model pengembangan Plomp dalam tahapan pengembangan atau tahap pembuatan prototipe. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen praktis yang terdiri dari beberapa komponen yang berguna, mudah digunakan, menarik, dan efisien yang diberikan kepada beberapa siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus persentase kepraktisan dengan menghasilkan e-book edupark fisika yang praktis sebagai bahan ajar fisika di SMA.

Abstract

The Integrated Model teaches science through a process not just a mere conceptual presentation so that students are given the opportunity to find their own answers so that students can more easily understand the lessons given by the teacher. Integrated learning as a unifying learning activity that combines several subjects at once in one face-to-face, to provide meaningful experiences for students. Through a student-centered and fun learning atmosphere, so that children are motivated to learn. This study aims to analyze and compare the effect of the integrated model on science learning in terms of education level and student learning outcomes. This study used a meta-analysis method that examined 15 articles. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative data analysis because narrative research data has been found. Based on the research results it can be seen that: The integrated model is more effectively applied at the junior high school level with an effect size value of 1.33 (very high category) and at the elementary level with an effect size value of 0.88 (high category). and integrated learning, the integrated model also has an impact on the learning outcomes of elementary and junior high school students' knowledge and skills.

Abstract

West Sumatra is one area that has the potential to be hit by drought. Prolonged drought has an impact on crop failure of agricultural land and decreased food reserves and can affect national food stability. An understanding of drought disasters can be provided through drought disaster mitigation and included in learning media used in schools. One of the learning media that supports learning from home to avoid the current Covid-19 pandemic is the e-module. The general purpose of this research is to produce an e-module based on physics-based inquiry-based integrated learning drought mitigation to improve the competence of students with valid, practical, and effective criteria. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The e-module development refers to the Plomp development model. The Plomp development model consists of three stages, the preliminary research phase, the development or prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. The data of this research are needs analysis data, validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The assessment instruments are questionnaires, analysis sheets, validation sheets, practicality sheets, self-assessment sheets, objective questions, and performance appraisal sheets. The data analysis techniques used are preliminary research analysis, validity analysis, practicality analysis, and effectiveness analysis. The result of the research is an inquiry-based learning-based high school physics e-module that integrates drought disaster mitigation to increase the competence of students with valid, practical, and effective criteria. The research implies that the integrated high school physics e-module based on Inquiry-based learning on drought mitigation can be used as a medium for learning physics in high school so that teachers have a variety of learning media.

Abstract

The 21st century continues to experience developments, including in the world of education. The development of the 21st century in the world of education poses more complex challenges. The most important thing that students must have in the 21st century is a knowledge base and deep understanding and develop various other abilities. One of the abilities that students must have in the 21st century is the ability to think creatively, not least in learning science. Science learning is related to events that occur in nature. Therefore, a strategy is needed for teachers to build students' creative thinking skills so that students can gain the right knowledge. One way that can be used to improve students' creative thinking skills is to use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Abstract

Humans are required to have broad insight, think critically, and be able to adapt to 21st century developments, especially in the field of education. The 2013 curriculum was created to change the mindset of students and the conceptual mastery of learning material was increased and meaningful. For that, we need integrated learning resources to support the implementation of learning. However, the problem is that the integrated science teaching materials in schools are still not integrated. One solution to overcome this problem is by analyzing the effect size of the effect of integrated science printed teaching materials on students' knowledge competencies. The type of research used is the effect size analysis. Effect size analysis is a way of summarizing and analyzing research data from several previous research results. The articles of this research consist of 20 articles. The instruments used were category codes and effect size calculations. The data analysis technique used in this study was to calculate the effect size of each article based on the mean, standard deviation, and t test. Based on the data analysis, four research results can be stated. First, integrated science printed teaching materials are equally effective at the seventh grade and eighth grade junior high school level. Second, integrated science printed teaching materials in the form of modules, books, LKS/LKPD, and teaching materials are effectively applied in science learning in junior high schools. Third, integrated science printed teaching materials have a significant influence on materials in junior high school science learning. Fourth, integrated science printed teaching materials are effective in increasing students' knowledge competencies with an effect size of 1.73. So, it can be concluded that integrated science printed teaching materials have a significant effect on students' knowledge competencies.

Abstract

The 2013 education curriculum suggests providing space for the development and implementation of modern education such as a STEM-based educational approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The type of research used is journal analysis. Research data collection was carried out by researchers by browsing articles contained in online journals. The journals analyzed in this study amounted to 20 journals published in 2016-2020, with details of 6 international journals and 14 national journals. The effect of STEM learning on science and physics subjects at high school education with an effect size of 0.20, at junior high school level with an effect size of 0.75 and having an effect on elementary education with an effect size of 0.85.The effect of STEM learning on science and physics subjects based on the model shows that the PPA learning model effect size is 0.62, the PBL model effect size is 0.58, for inquiry learning model the effect is 0.61.The effect of STEM learning on science and physics subjects based on the competencies achieved, it was found that the ES score for critical thinking achievement was 0.27, ES creative thinking was 0.81, ES critical thinking was 0.81, and for problem solving the ES score was 0.58.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students' knowledge and science process skills by using PhET simulation assisted by worksheets based on discovery learning models. The research method used is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.5 SMPN 14 Padang in the 2020/2021 semester II academic year, totaling 30 people. This research was carried out in two learning cycles, with the stages in each cycle being planning, action, observation/evaluation, and reflection. This research is said to be successful if the average value of the student's scientific process ability is 80. The data that has been collected was analyzed descriptively. The results of data analysis can be stated that the use of PhET simulation assisted by LKPD based on the discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes which include aspects of knowledge and science process skills. Data analysis 1) aspects of students' knowledge in the first cycle obtained an average value of 65.25 with a standard deviation of 8.45 while in the second cycle it was 80.45 with a standard deviation of 12.35; 2) the aspect of science process skills in the first cycle is 75.67 with a good category while in the second cycle is 90.50 with a very good category. Thus, the use of PhET simulation assisted by LKPD based on the discovery learning model has had a positive effect in increasing knowledge and skills of science processes.

Abstract

The research was conducted based on field observations. The research conducted was educational research so that the observations were carried out in schools, namely high schools in the city of Padang. Observation activities refer to the learning system, implementation of learning and the practicality of educators in teaching and using teaching resources or textbooks. Observations were carried out by distributing questionnaires, interviews and field observations directly to educators and to students. The results obtained during the observation were that the students' books used had not been integrated with creative thinking skills. In addition, the available student books had not used the model in the 2013 curriculum that should have been applied in schools. This has an impact on the satisfaction of students in receiving learning. The results of the distributed questionnaires found that all aspects asked related to the learning system were below 80%. This is categorized as low for the SMA Negeri level in the city of Padang. Therefore, the development of student books by using models in the 2013 curriculum, one of which is the Problem based learning model to improve students' creative thinking skills, is deemed necessary. The formulation proposed in this study is how to develop a student book with a Problem Based Learning model that integrates practical high school students' creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to develop a student book with a problem based learning model that integrates creative thinking skills to improve the creative thinking skills of high school students. The research carried out includes R&D research with the development model used is the 4D model. The investigation carried out was the level of practicality of student books which were developed using a practicality questionnaire of educators and students which contained the benefits of use, time efficiency, ease of use and attractiveness. The research was carried out at SMAN 16 Padang. The research process was carried out well. Practical analysis of students and educators is carried out by analyzing the completed questionnaire and looking for the percentage of the implementation of the questionnaire given.The results obtained after the research from the analysis of students' book practicality questionnaires from the results obtained from the students' practicality sheets got very practical results and the teacher's practicality got very practical results. Aspects of ease of use and time efficiency get results in the practical category, while aspects of benefit and attractiveness get very practical results from educators and practical from students so it is stated that the student books developed are practical.
