Abstract

This study aims to find out how academic supervision by school principals which can improve teacher professional competence in public. This research used an action research approach with descriptive method. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation study. The subjects of the study were elementary school teachers at SDN 14 Belanti Barat Padang. Data were analyzed using reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the academic supervision of school principals can improve the professional competence of teachers at SDN 14 Belanti Barat. This can be seen from the achievement of the average value before and after being given guidance as it has increased in the first cycle the average value is 71.8 and in the second cycle is 78.64.

Abstract

Academic supervision is a series of activities to help teachers develop their abilities in managing the learning process for the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to determine how the planning, implementation, and obstacles of academic supervision by the school principal in improving the professional competence of teachers at MIN 4 Padang Pariaman. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation study. Research subjects were the principal, vice-principal, and teachers. Data were analyzed using reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results showed that academic supervision planning was prepared at the beginning of the new school year by involving vice principals, and teachers. The goal of planning the academic supervision of principals is the ability of teachers to manage to learn, starting from planning, implementing, and evaluating student learning outcomes. Academic supervision is carried out prior to communicating to teachers, conducted twice in one semester, or four times in one school year. The academic supervision techniques used are class visits, teacher meetings, teacher working groups, and training. Barriers to academic supervision still lack the school administration staff. The existence of external activities that are sudden, so that the supervision schedule that has been prepared previously is also disrupted. Teachers who are unable to attend the scheduled class visit. Teachers who are supervised feel scared and stiff when supervised. There are still some teachers who do not master information and communication technology.

Abstract

Abstract

Revolusi industri 4.0 merubah cara pandang kita terhadap konsep pendidikan yang akan berpengaruh pada praktik-praktik pengajaran. Era ini menuntut adanya persiapan sistem pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan teknologi. Menanggapi tantangan pendidikan pada era revolusi industri 4.0, Kemendikbud kembali melakukan redesign Kurikulum 2013. Dalam pengembangan ini terdapat lima kemampuan yang harus dimiliki para generasi muda dalam rangka menghadapi revolusi industri 4.0, yaitu kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan inovatif, kemampuan berkomunikasi, kemampuan bekerja sama, dan percaya diri. Untuk itu berbagai upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan yang dilaksanakan yang dibarengi dengan peningkatan profesionalitas guru mutlak dilakukan. Penyesuaian muatan pembelajaran harus seiring dengan penyesuaian/peningkatan kompetensi guru sebagai pelaku/pelaksana pembelajaran. Secara umum permasalahan peningkatan kompetensi guru setidaknya bersumber dari dua hal, yaitu kurangnya pelatihan yang diikuti guru dan kurangnya kemauan guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri. Masih banyak guru yang bekerja tanpa pelatihan yang memadai, sedangkan sebagian lainnya beralasan peningkatan kompetensi secara mandiri juga tidak mudah dikondisikan. Maka pembinaan profesionalisasi guru sebagai tenaga pendidik perlu dipersiapkan melalui skematik yang jelas, tegas, terarah, dan memiliki visi ke depan yang terukur.

Abstract

The research is motivated by problems that arise in Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 4, that the development of a curriculum do not accommodate all students, especially students with special needs in accordance with the procedure or provision contained in filosopi inclusive education. This research aims to describe the development of school curricula do inclusive education in SMK Negeri 4 Padang. To achieve the research objectives, we used a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method. While the data collection techniques and tools, namely interviews using an interview guide and observation techniques using observation and study engineering documentation. Subjects consisted of teachers who teach subjects in the classroom of students with special needs, inclusive education managers, and students with special needs themselves. These results explained that the development of curriculum that the teachers do not differ with the previous curriculum development, standard analytical procedures and basic competencies, mapping of materials, methods, media and evaluation of learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari penyelenggaraan proses pembelajaran siswa ABKh Tunanetra di SMKN Kota Padang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keadaan umum pembelajarannya meliputi penggunaan strategi pembelajaran, penggunaan metoda ,penyampaian materi pelajaran dan pengelolaan kelas Penelitian ini ditetapkan dengan teknik sampel bola salju yang terdiri siswa, guru, kepala sekolah, orang tua murid, pengawas sekolah, dinas pendidikan dan masyarakat. Informan tetap berjumlah 24 orang. Hasil Temuan, ada empat Tema Sentral keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pembelajaran di SMK.4 inklusi kota Padang. 1. Pelaksanaan program pendidikan inklusi di SMKN 4 Padang , sangat didukung oleh persepsi positif dari kepala sekolah, guru,GPK, orang tua, masyarakat dan dinas pendidikan. 2 strategi pembelajaran dan penggunaan metoda masih menggunakan pedoman regulasi umum, termasuk pengelolaan kelas sangat memerlukan perbaikan dan pembenahan. 3. Seluruh personil sekolah menjadi actor penting yang siap melayani semua anak, tanpa perbedaan dan bertanggung jawab atas kelancaran proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran sehingga kondisi diatas dapat menjadi kunci kemajuan sekolah inklusi. Kerjasama antar personal, baik kedalam maupun keluar sehingga pengembangan sekolah inklusi tidak banyak mengalami kendala yang berarti. meskipun masih memerlukan perbaikan pembenahan dan pengembangan. 4. Meskipun pelaksanaan pembelajaran SMK inklusi berjalan dengan baik, namun berbagai perbaikan seperti yang dituangkan dalam tema sentral diatas harus dan terus diperbaiki dan dikembangkan sebagaimana mestinya

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi anak autistic melalui dukungan visual. Pembahasan ini muncul berdasarkan kondisi keterbatasan anak autistic dalam kemampuan komunikasi serta keterbatasan guru disekolah dalam pengembangan pembelajaran komunikasi. Komunikasi memegang peranan dalam kehidupan manusia agar dapat berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan anak autistic adalah dengan dukungan visual. Untuk meningkatkan komunikasi anak autistic perlu dikaji konsep dasar tentang komunikasi, aspek-aspek komunikasi, permasalahan komunikasi pada anak autistic, tahapan komunikasi pada anak autistic permasahan komunikasi. Kajian tentang dukungan visual dibahas dalam beberapa sub pembahasan yaitu pentingnya visual support bagi anak autistic, manfaat visual support, jenis-jenis visual support, dan cara menggunakan visual support.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of Islamic religious learning in Padang Perwari SLB conducted by a teacher who is blind in the sense that the teacher center teacher is more dominant as transferring knowledge to children. The purpose of this study describes the learning process that is carried out by the Islamic religion blind teacher in three events. The first design, implementation, and evaluation. Objectives of this study used a qualitative approach to data collection techniques applied are interviews, observations and review documentation. The results showed teachers were designing learning, already implemented with conventional, dominant teacher as giver of knowledge but the management of the learning process in collaboration with classroom teachers, such as the practice of ablution and prayer. Such activities can not be observed by the teacher because of limited vision and also the teacher can not use props or media, procedures and implementation prayer ablution. But reading prayer is always a concern because children can hear the teacher reading the prayer child, if one repeated and repair. In the evaluation tests conducted orally and in writing , but the writing test was carried out by the class teacher to help. The successful implementation of Islamic religious learning constraints are factors such as limited vision teacher "S" but there are contributing factors that facilitate the implementation process of learning such as principals, teachers, funds, foundations, learning infrastructure. And the results are already reflected in the evaluation of learning, but teachers need to enhance the learning process by maintaining Islamic religious education co-operation and solidarity

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research whose purpose to find out the correlation between condition of basic sanitation and the elementary students ability with the use of basic sanitation means. Data collection is done by using test and quetioners. The data was analyzed by regression analysis. Suggestion in this study is to improve the infrastructure of basic sanitation and give information for elementary student about the use and the need of healthy live.

Abstract

This article is concerned with the diversity of gender in acquiring language in psychological perfectives. The language and gender are the main factors which the writer tries to expose. The language using for each gender is observed by the psychological perfectives and the data collected by using descriptive literature analysis. The fact showed that the factors of the diversity of language in each gender are contributed by psychological matter from their family background, the superiority, and socio cultural phenomenon.
