Abstract

Membaca merupakan salah satu cara mengajar Bahasa Inggris di Jurusan keperawatan Maharani Malang. Mata kuliah ini diberikan pada semester pertama jurusan Keperawatan Maharani Malang untuk dapat meningkatkan dan mendorong siswa untuk menggunakan buku teks kedokteran bahasa Inggris dalam memperoleh lebih banyak informasi tentang teori medis, karena semua buku panduan ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab langsung masalah utama penelitian, “Apakah siswa yang diajar dengan teknik scanning dan skimming memiliki kemampuan membaca yang lebih baik daripada mereka yang diajar dengan yang konvensional. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester pertama Jurusan Perawat Maharani Malang yang mengambil mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris sebagai mata pelajaran wajib pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Karena hanya ada 70 siswa, penelitian ini tidak menggunakan prosedur pengambilan sampel. Ke 70 siswa tersebut digunakan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol juga. Siswa dipisahkan secara acak dan menghasilkan 35 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol dan 35 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Sebelum percobaan dilakukan, pretest diberikan kepada kedua kelompok. Setelah hasil tes, perawatan dimulai. Kelompok eksperimen diajarkan dengan menggunakan scanning dan skimming dan kelompok kontrol diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik konvensional. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 16 pertemuan, Penelitian dimulai dari 1 Juni hingga 10 September 2017. Pada akhir penelitian, test terakhir diberikan untuk melihat efek dari dua teknik terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa. pemahaman apakah secara literal atau inferensial. T-test digunakan untuk mengukur dan untuk melihat efek dari teknik scanning dan skimming dan teknik konvensional untuk kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa kemampuan yang berbeda secara signifikan dalam pemahaman membaca umum diperoleh. Nilai T-test yang diperoleh untuk pemahaman membaca umum adalah 4,01 sedangkan nilai kritis t pada p <.05 tingkat signifikansi dari one tailed adalah 1,671 (df = 60). Dari perhitungan T-test, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen memiliki kemampuan yang lebih baik daripada mereka dalam kelompok kontrol dan teknik skimming lebih efektif daripada teknik konvensional. Dengan demikian, ditemukan teknik scanning dan skimming lebih efektif dalam membimbing siswa untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih baik daripada teknik konvensional, itu sebabnya penting bagi guru bahasa Inggris menggunakan teknik scanning dan skimming dalam membimbing. siswa mereka untuk belajar pemahaman bacaan dalam bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Deviant behavior is defined as behavior, actions, or someone in response to the environment contrary to the norms and laws that exist in society. Amid public life still occasionally encountered measures are not in accordance with the rules (norms) in effect on the community, for example a students cheat on quizzes, lying, stealing, and disturbing other students. Spot, the role of teachers is necessary and can be done through education and will appear, when the teacher managed to create a positive character on learners, for example learners will be an honest individual (not cheating on replay, lying, stealing) and disturbing other students. Therefore, teachers become good role models, pay attention to several criteria such as: having a good personality, including how to speak, how to relate with learners, behavior, etchics are high, kind, friendly, trustworthy, resolute, sincerity in teaching, course of action that leads to a positive attitude and so on.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of applying learning model of reading guide with blog contextual content media on students majoring in history at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. The sample in this research is the students of history class 2017 IKIP Budi Utomo Malang.This research is a kind of Quasi experimental design and this research including with pre-test and post-test control group design.The research of African history learning with the model of reading guide with media blog contextual content is stated enough to give effect even in low level. This is indicated by: (1) the students’ critical thinking ability exceeds minimalcompletenesseither individually or classically, (2) the critical thinking skill of students who are given the model of reading guide with contextual content blog media is better than the class given conventional learning, (3) variable Reading Guide sig = 0.087 = 8.7%> 5%, so H0 is accepted, meaning that the reading guide has no influence on the variable of critical thinking ability, but Blog Contextual content variable there is positive influence with index sig = 0,030 = 0% <5% so H0 is rejected, it means Contextual Content Blog has influence to critical thinking ability variable or together between reading guide model and blog contextual content media to critical thinking ability, and (4) improvement of critical thinking ability of students who are given learning model of reading guide with media blog contextual content is better than the class that is given conventional learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design the learning media of Indonesian cultural history, and to describe the effect of media usage on student learning outcomes. This research is a development research using Sugiyono model, while tehadap learning result using pseudo experiment to know effectiveness to result learn. The findings in the field show there are 4 relics of the temple building from the Hindu-Buddhist era and which is used as a model is Jago temple. The result of validity test of learning media is expressed well by validator with obtained validation result: 75,5% from media expert which mean included in criterion good enough, while from material expert equal to 80% good category. Result of data of questionnaires validation of practitioner 1 validation toward learning media obtained percentage 85%. Learning media developed after tested try to get good response from students with percentage of 81% with good category. Learning media developed effectively because after tested, and obtained the results: (1) the average learning outcomes in the form of absorption of material comprehension, the number of students who complete learning as much as 28 of 29 students with students’ learning completeness classically is 96.5% average value 84.48, (2) students’ experimental class learning outcomes are better than control class, (3) there is statistically significant difference or significant use of digital learning media of jago temple site to increase student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning strategies are steps taken by students to improve their own learning. Learning strategy is desired learners to achieve certain goals and manifest in various types. The use of this learning strategy appears in the specific actions or behaviors that the learners do to improve their language skills, for example by imitating, repeating, transferring into other languages, improving speech, asking for clarification, and so on. This research is more emphasis on affective strategy. This strategy refers to feelings, attitudes, motivations and values. There are three main sets of affective strategies (demeaning your worries, pushing yourself, and getting your emotional temperature). The general objective of this research is to describe the effectiveness of the model of affective strategy integration in learning subject course of Indonesian language and literature study program IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Specifically, the purpose of this study is to obtain a significant description of the difference between the verbal skills in the 2014A and 2014B classes of Indonesian language and literature education programs IKIP Budi Utomo Malang and obtain a significant description of the difference in effectiveness between the learning ability of speech before and after. This research uses experimental design with non equivalent control group design. The data analysis technique used to find the difference is using paired paired t test formula for one sample and t test of the independent variable for different samples. The sample of this research is student of class of 2014A and 2014B of Indonesian language and literature education program IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Experiments were conducted by dividing experimental and control groups. The experimental group is a student of Indonesian language and literature education program class of 2014A, while the control group is a student of language and literature education program class of 2014B, by taking pretest value and postes value. Based on the research that has been done, the result of pretest in the experimental group is still low with an average of 56,375 after being given affective strategy treatment on average value rose 20,25 points to 76,625, while the mean in control group at pretest 58,38 up 0,222 points at the postes being 58.61. The effectiveness between the postes value of the experimental group and the control group is very different. In the control group the score also increased but more increase in the experimental group. It shows the model of affective strategy integration in learning subject course of individual speech of Indonesian language and literature education program IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. From the research findings, the researcher suggested that lecturers in the environment of IKIP Budi Utomo Malang should implement learning strategies to improve student achievement and students do not feel bored.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the implementation of mind map method through audiovisual animation media in improving listening to fairy tale ability, (2) describe the achievement level of mindmap method through audiovisual animation media in defining interesting parts from the fairy tale including (figure, character, and theme), (3) describe achievement level of mind map method through audiovisual animation media in showing interesting parts about the relevance between theme and recent situation, (4) describe achievement level of mind map method through audiovisual animation media in defining interesting parts of a fairy tale using logical reason, (5) describe achievement level of mind map method through audiovisual animation media in improving the ability to conclude the message of a fairy tale. This is a classroom action research (CAR). The data collection applies five techniques such as (1) Observation, (2) Interview, (3) Test, (4) Documentation, dan (5) Field Note. Mind map teaching methodthrough audiovisual animation media can improve ability in listening to fairy tale for the IKIP BUDI UTOMO Students. Based on evaluation result from cycle 1 and cycle 2, it is confirmed that the cumulative score improves; also, each aspect experiences the same improvement – except in the attractiveness of fairy tale relevance. Content comprehension aspect at cycle 1 gets score in percentage of 82% and at cycle 2 makes 90%. Fairy tale attracting parts aspect at cycle 1 reaches score in percentage of 34% and becomes 51% at cycle 2; fairy tale relevance attractiveness aspect at cycle 1 has score in percentage of 62%, and 54% at cycle 2; the aspect of expressing fairy tale interesting parts in logical reason at cycle 1 makes percentage score as many as 74% and becomes 87% at cycle 2, fairy tale conclusion message aspect at cycle 1 makes score of 75%, and 79% at cycle 2; furthermore, the student cumulative score in cycle 1 is 72% and becomes 80% at cycle 2. From the observation result, there also occurs improvement, and generally the teaching and learning atmosphere is quite conducive. The class situation is controllable, students feel favorable to mind map method and fairy tale VCD which are used as the media to listen to the fairy tale. Student interest in following fairy tale listening activity is relatively high. Things to suggest for further research, suppose it explores the implementation of mind map teaching method in the effort of improving student’s affective aspect. For Bahasa Indonesia teacher, suppose he/she applies mind map teaching method through audiovisual animation media as a kind of variation in teaching method tomake student not bored while joining the learning.

Abstract

Communication Strategy Voluntary Counseling Test ( VCT ) Living with HIV / AIDS (PLWHA ) General Hospital Dr . Saiful Anwar ( RSSA ) HIV / AIDS is still one of the dreaded disease by a large part of society , because they still consider HIV / AIDS as a deadly disease , there is no cure and the disease is a curse . This is caused due to an incorrect myths about HIV / AIDS . Due to the myth, making people living with HIV / AIDS ( PLWHA ) are stigmatized and discrimination . Stigma and discrimination are two things that are often experienced by people living with HIV . Because of the stigma and discrimination that people living with HIV be afraid , afraid to open up for fear of being shut excluded so that people living with HIV and people living with HIV closure that makes HIV / AIDS is difficult to detect its spread . To overcome these problems , one of which is through Voluntary Counseling Test ( VCT ) . VCT counseling is an activity that provides psychological support , information and knowledge of HIV / AIDS , prevent the transmission of HIV, promote responsible behavior change, treatment and ensure solving various problems associated with HIV / VCT AIDS.Ada in two stages, namely the stage of Pre- Test and Post- Tests . In the Pre- test counseling is done stage by providing information about HIV / AIDS , prevention , transmission and window period . Pre- test counseling provides knowledge about the benefits of HIV testing , testing for decision making , and planning for issues facing HIV . After HIV Testing and Counseling Pre PLWHA PLWHA undergo the HIV test will undergo stages of post counseling where PLHIV will be conditioned to accept the results of the HIV test , get information about what to do if the results of his HIV test is positive or negative , and most importantly so that people living with HIV do not become stress , depression and despair. VCT is run by counselors who are trained and experienced in this study bidangnya.Pada researchers conducted a study using qualitative methods to the three counselors that have been set using purposive sampling method and data captured through interviews and counseling in VCT observasi.Ketika Pre Test and post- test , the counselor needs a communications strategy that will be used to affect people living with HIV in order to receive the message delivered by the counselor and the main thing is to change the behavior of people living with HIV. Based on the results of research conducted by the researchers of the communication strategy VCT Pre Test and Post- Test in Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital Malang against people living with HIV , it was found that the result is a persuasive communication strategies used by counselors when doing koneling to PLWHA HIV Testing Pre and Communication , Information andEducation (CIE ) is a communication strategy that is used by counselors when counseling Post- test counseling is done by the counselor was tailored to what the existing problems in people living with HIV with the ultimate goal , namely a change in the behavior of people living with HIV.

Abstract

People have a belief in finding different healing from one another. Some people entrusted to medical treatments, and the others entrusted to traditional treatments. Those who did traditional treatments believe that because of their culture which forms the society’s behavior to entrust healing through traditional treatment. For the people of Desa Tutut Arjowinangun Malang, Pengobatan tradisional is a socio-cultural treatment or treatment based on culture. Pengobatan Tradisional here uses a dream interpretation that can only be done by the healer or shaman Pengobatan Tradisional. The solution of the pain suffered by the patient is derived from a dukun’s dream interpretation and combined with the ritual of giving salt to the patient. The ability of healers, shamans, or healers to carry out traditional medical practices is not obtained by chance or by accident, but by a certain stage or ritual. A healer or dukun has the ability to carry out his traditional treatment practices also through the possession of heirlooms. They are like kris and or ancient weapons in the past, stone, jewelry, and so on. These heritage objects are believed to give a power to perform a ritual both for treatment and other activities that can not be done by most humans. In addition to some of the explanations that have been outlined above, traditional medicine still has a place in the Society due to the support of the surrounding community. The village community of Tutut Arjowinangun gives trust to the dukun Pengobatan Tradisional to provide an alternative for healing. The community of Desa Tutut Arjowinangun Malang has different perception about illness. The majority of Tutut Arjowinangun Malang Village people interprete medical illness as a disturbance of the body’s metabolic system. But the people of Desa Tutut Arjowinangun Malang who still adhere to cultural values will certainly have different perception on the pain. As Foster points out that a personalistic system is a system in which illness is caused by the intervention of an active agent, an active agent here being a supernatural being. These supernatural beings are like supernatural beings or gods, non-human beings such as ghosts, ancestral spirits or evil spirits as well as human beings in the form of sorcerers or sorcerers. So here the sick person is the victim, the object of aggression or punishment specifically directed to him for special reasons concerning him alone.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and learning process so that learners actively develop their potential to have spiritual, religious, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character and skills needed by him, nation and state society (UU Sistem National Education article 1 paragraph 1). Education is organized as a process of lifelong learning of the students by giving exemplary, building the will and developing the creativity of learners in the learning process and developing the culture of reading, writing and arithmetic. The objective of the study was to improve the learning outcomes of Free Styles Swimming through the implementation of Cooperative Learning method. The problem in this research is “Whether the application of cooperative learning method can improve the learning result of Freestyle Swimming. The method of this research is class action research which involves repetitive reflection and consists of four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research is Student Physical Education Health and Recreation IKIP Budi Utomo Malang force 2014 as many as 30 people. The result of the research shows that before the implementation of learning with cooperative learning method, the value of free class swimming lesson (Pre Cycle) is only equal to 16,67% with less category and in cycle I is implemented by applying cooperative learning method of learning result of freestyle pools = 63.33% with suffcient category and in cycle II which emphasize improvement in cycle I can be known implementation of cooperative learning method on free style swimming course increased and succeeded because able to reach = 93,33,00%. This is in accordance with the classical completeness criteria (KKM), which is 70%. In conclusion, the implementation of cooperative learning method can improve learning result of freestyle swimming at Student of Physical Education Health and Recreation IKIP Budi Utomo Malang Force 2014.

Abstract

This study wants to keep track of public participation in responds to development of uncertaintly local democratic. This idea is based on an assumption of declining public participation in the previous elections of 2004. This study tries to observe how the development of democracy at the grassroots level can be influenced by extends political effect for imaging virtually designed and shaped by political pragmatism practices as conducted by the politicians in general. The fndings of this study explained that the democratization at the level of village/local is not understood as an urgent need, therefore the political participation of society is still in the category of “anut grubyuk” participation profess that is not based on the ideals and demands the real political rights of citizenship. The forms of participation are thus precisely met the drying times of democracy itself. It means that the future death of village democratization not only addressed because of the laziness of residents to political participation, but the attitude of the political elite is also partly responsible, especially in negotiating the political choices to rural communities in general.
