Abstract

Kecenderungan tumpang tintih materi pelajaran sejarah di sekolah dewasa ini, baik antar jenjang pendidikan maupun antar kelas pada jenjang pendidikan yang sama menjadi fenomena yang selalu menarik untuk dikaji. Materi sejarah yang demikian tidak akan terjadi bila secara rutin dilakukan penyusunan learning continuum (LC) oleh semua kalangan terkait. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan model learning continuum keterampilan berpikir historis mata pelajaran sejarah SMA. LC keterampilan berpikir historis, menggambarkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta didik untuk menguasai keterampilan berpikir historis mulai dari keterampilan dasar hingga keterampilan yang paling tinggi pada pembelajaran sejarah SMA. Penelitian melalui dua tahap, yakni tahap pengembangan model LC dan tahap pengembangan instrumen yang disertai uji dengan coba terbatas. Data dianalisis dengan Partial Credit Model (PCM) menggunakan program QUEST. Hasil pengembangan aspek dan sub aspek LC keterampilan berpikir historis menghasilkan dua keterampilan yakni keterampilan dasar (basic skill) dan keterampilan penelitian sejarah (historical research capabilities). Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa tes terbukti fit dengan PCM. Reliabilitas tes uji coba baik, dengan koefisien alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,82.

Abstract

This research explains the role of women fishermen (fishermen's wife) in assisting family economic needs. Fishermen who have economies below average are considered unable to meet their daily needs. Fishermen are jobs that bear considerable risk. In addition to the many shipping supplies and fishing gear they need, the risk of weather also greatly affects. For example if a storm hit the beach, then they automatically cannot get down to the sea and it is difficult to catch fish. Here the role of women is needed. Automated women cannot always rely on their husband to meet family needs. Here comes the role of two women who are certainly very helpful to the fisherman especially in the economic field. Various jobs such as sewing, trading such as opening a shop and other work. Here also will be found various problems such as women ignore their health and whether there is a role of government in paying attention to this, especially the local government. This research uses field observation method through interview and some data needed such as document as additional material. Interviews were conducted with fishermen and women fishermen at the study sites. Then also use the method of history in general, where data from the results of the interview will also be criticized and analyzed.

Abstract

POMPAI is a child newspaper born in colonial times. This newspaper comes along with the emergence of movements in Indonesia. Before becoming a child newspaper, POMPAI was a newspaper that also often voiced national movements. Suspicion and pressure from the colonial government, made POMPAI transformed into a child newspaper with the aim of educating indigenous children, especially in West Sumatra. There are several children's newspapers that appear together with the POMPAI newspaper. Among them; Chain Mas and Pelipoer Heart. Both of these newspapers have similarities and differences but have the same goal of wanting to entertain indigenous children and teach knowledge through newspapers. Not many of these children's newspapers are present in West Sumatra. In addition to the pressure from the colonial government, the economic condition of indigenous newspaper businessmen is often a constraint. Age of this newspaper can be said not long or last long. POMPAI itself only lasted about two years. However, his role in the development of the knowledge of indigenous children is taken into account. This can be seen from the rubric and writing as well as the influence of the newspaper POMPAI. Not many natives children can attend school, this newspaper beceme one means of education for them to be illiterate and learn a little to increase knowledge.

Abstract

Crucial issues, as well as the classic issues that have always been the subject of historical learning problems related to activities or learning processes that tend to be monotonous, boring and lack of innovation and creativity of the teachers in designing historical learning activities that can generate students interest and motivation in learning the history. The 2013 curriculum presents a special challenge for teachers to design studentcentered learning activities using a scientific approach through problembased learning models, project-based learning and discovery learning models. One solution that can be done by history teachers in answering the challenges of the 2013 curriculum is to design learning activities through historical comics. Historical teachers can apply problem-based learning models by utilizing historical comics that are already available on the market as well as on the internet. In addition, history teachers can also apply project-based learning models through activities of making comic history by learners in accordance with the historical learning material learned. The design of learning activities through comics is expected to create innovations in the form of historical comics as a result of the design and creativity of the students. The process of learning history through the making of comics is certainly based on a scientific approach and student-centered. History teachers are asked to direct, provide solutions and suggestions to improve the quality of learning activities and learning outcomes as well as the quality of historical comic produced by students.

Abstract

This study aims to delve deeper into how the role of art in traditional culture can be used as character building for the next generation of the nation. The art school which is specialized in Vocational High Schools (SMK), offers expertise programs to junior high school graduates who are interested in exploring and learning traditional arts and culture. The presence of art-based formal schools, of course, can have a positive impact on the younger generation to maintain and preserve the art of traditional culture as forming a moral character, as well as the emergence of a sense of love for their own culture. Usually Vocational Schools are very identical with technical schools, machinery, and other fields of technology, but art Vocational Schools in West Sumatra, especially the city of Padang, offer different skills than vocational education in general, namely traditional arts. This is evidenced by the presence of Vocational High School 4, Vocational High School 8 and Padang Vocational High School 7, which are art vocational schools in West Sumatra, especially in Padang which make traditional arts and crafts of Minangkabau culture a skill program developed by their students. This school is maintained and is the pride of the people of Padang City.

Abstract

The important thing in studying history is to make it more interesting. The teacher as a facilitator must find other ways to make student interested when they learn, so far history learning is less exciting because student are obligated to remember the fact of historical events. Green history-based module learning will provide more interesting learning material for students to understand history since the module integrates paste vents whic hare related to the presentand also witht hesurrounding environment. The purpose of this researc histoimprove students knowledge, skills, and awareness about environmental values andenvironmental issues. This research is development research, which some stages namely Data Collection, Model Design, Design Validation, Design Revision, Product Trial, Product Revision,Mass Production of Products. This research has a positive impact on students in learning history, students understanding increases and students can analyse a historical event.

Abstract

History provides a valuable lesson. There are many diffecences, contradictions, and complex events that lead us to the gates of freedom. Therefore, teaching history in schools could be something very important. The current and furure challenge is on how we were able to fix all the problems occurred all this time in history lesson. The teacher should also be able to make history lesson to be more interesting, such as internalizing local history into the history lesson at schools so that the students are able to get close to reality and are not forgeting their local history. Building the students’ insight about local history with scaffolding reinforcement so that the students can develop their local historical insight optimally. Local history can serve as a source of ancestral history that should be preserved. In other words, local history can be a well that is never dry in drought, the values of wisdom for the realization of the ideals of a nation that is balanced, both physically and mentally. It adds to the material wealth of history and foster interest and knowledge of students in learning history. Therefore, this paper is intended to explain how the strategy to build students’ insight of local history with scaffolding reinforcement in teaching history at schools.

Abstract

Petugas Pendidikan Sekolah Adat ditujukan untuk Sipil, Sekolah School Opleiding voor Inlandsche Ambtenaren (OSVIA) di Serang Banten tahun 1900-1927. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada sistem pemerintahan bahwa Hindia Belanda dalam program yang diarahkan oleh Pemerintah dituntut untuk dapat melakukan tugas-tugas administratif di provinsi tersebut tetapi karena pejabat tinggi yang harus datang dari Belanda ke pemerintah Belanda mendirikan sekolah untuk bertemu pejabat pendidikan pribumi di provinsi ini. Tujuan penulis untuk mempelajari sistem pemerintahan di provinsi dengan elit asli-modern dengan sekolah tradisional sebagai syarat untuk menjadi bupati. Metode yang saya gunakan metode Historical dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu: (1) Heuristik, (2) kritik, (3) interpretasi, (4) Historiografi. Sedangkan teknik yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data melalui penelitian pustaka dengan mempelajari dan menganalisis berbagai buku sumber, surat kabar, wawancara dan materi arsip terkait dengan masalah yang dibahas. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa tujuan administrasi rekrutmen di Banten hanya untuk mendapatkan pegawai pribumi yang sangat murah dan pemerintah Belanda menganggap peran penting birokrasi elit politik pribumi asli adalah perantara antara pemerintah dan masyarakat dengan menggunakan otoritas tradisionalnya. Maka pemerintah Belanda mendirikan sekolah untuk menjadi petugas administrasi di sekolah bernama Banten OSVIA. Setelah pendirian sekolah di Serang Banten OSVIA pemerintahan tradisional dengan silsilah raja digantikan oleh sistem modern yang berkembang biak tidak menjadi syarat utama untuk menjadi gubernur, tetapi pendidikan harus diberikan kepada bupati, di mana standar minimum lulusan pendidikan OSVIA dan mampu berbahasa Belanda. Dengan demikian penulis dapat memberikan pelajaran kepada masyarakat dan rekan-rekan siswa dengan judul skripsi sehingga saya dapat belajar pemerintahan transisi akan menjadi tradisional-modern di Banten setelah kedatangan Belanda

Abstract

The history of higher education in the Republic of Indonesia primarily on August 19, 1945, that was the founded of Balai Perguruan Tinggi Republik Indonesia (BPTRI) in Jakarta, upstairs of personage Indonesian higher education. However, if we look back as a long time, before freedom of Indonesian (August 17, 1945), actually the higher education in Indonesia had been founded, even had formed of system’s based on religions (Buddha, Islam, and Christian). Islamic people had founded institutes of Islamic education, for example Surau, Pesantren, Madrasah, etc, as well as with Christian that brought of colonialist (Dutch) to Indonesia. Dutch colonialist founding and make reorganizing to higher education them star at 1920-1942. They did it because certaint reasons, priority to fuulfil they need oftheir colonialism and they economic’s advantages from Indonesia. The higher education had they founded are THS te Bandoeng (1920), RHS te Batavia (1924),GHS te Batavia (1927), FLeW Batavia (1940), dan FvLw Buitenzorg (1941). At Republik Indonesia Serikat (1950’s), this higher education to be formed faculties of Universiteit Indonesia/BPTRIS.

Abstract

Kondisi pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini terkontaminasi oleh adanya pengaruh dari budaya asing, pola hidup konsumtif dan bangga dengan produk luar negeri, serta sikap apatis terhadap persoalan bangsa. Sering kita dengar terjadi tawuran pelajar, seks bebas, narkoba, pola hidup hedonis dan konsumtif para pelajar. Peran pembelajaran sejarah menjadi sangat penting dalam mentransfomasikan nilai-nilai kesejarahan dalam mempersiapkan generasi muda Indonesia yang memiliki karakter sebagai warga negara. Tujuan penelitian yakni mendeskripsikan proses penanaman nilai-nilai karakter kesejarahan melalui pembelajaran sejarah di SMA Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan naturalistik inkuiri. Sumber data penelitian diperoleh dari siswa SMA, guru mata pelajaran sejarah, dokumen-dokumen rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, serta sumber lain seperti jurnal, hasil penelitian terdahulu, buku teks, dan sumber lain. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA di Kota Padang. Penafsiran dan analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan memberikan elaborasi pada setiap poin yang ada dalam data. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah selain nilai­-nilai umum yang ada, seperti religius, sosial, tanggung jawab, dan disiplin, ada nilai­-nilai yang lebih spesifik yang peneliti temukan yaitu nilai-nilai yang berkaitan dengan nilai-nilai kesejarahan meliputi nilai cinta tanah air, patriotisme, dan nasionalisme. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran adalah pendekatan langsung dan pendekatan tidak langsung.
