Abstract

Based on the observations made at SMAN 1 Suliki on August 20, 2015, the reality is that in the learning process, attention and negative student activities in the classroom are still many such as, drowsiness during learning, and lack of interaction between students and teachers during the teaching and learning process. Students also lack interact with each other, in conducting group discussions. Highly capable students are still unable to work with low-skilled students. The learning resources used by teachers in the field of study are still package books, so that makes students only control package books in learning. The other learning resources provided in schools are LKS, but the delivery of materials in this LKS is still not colored. Every time they start learning, students still forget to bring a package book. Therefore, learning ppenelitian becomes less effective because of the lack of teaching materials used by teachers and learning methods that are still not appropriately used by teachers. Then the creation of mind map handouts and concept maps with STAD learning models is the solution.This type of research is quasi experimental research. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique by assigning experiment class I and class II experiment in drawn. So that obtained the selected sample class XI IPA5 and XI IPA6. The research instrument used is the instrument used for the assessment of the affective aspects of students is the assessment sheet of affective aspects. This assessment sheet aims to assess students' attitudes and behaviors during the learning process. The assessment sheet contains the observed aspects of students' attitudes and behaviors. Based on the results of the research conducted showed that in the affective realm by using handouts of mind maps and concept maps in cooperative learning models STAD is 93.16 (class I experiment) category is very good, and 72.25 (experiment II) with good category. In the first class of experiments have better affective competence than the second class of experiments.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out students' perception of the teaching skills of field practice biology teachers (PL) at SMAN 1 Bukittinggi. This research is descriptive research. The sampling technique used is Random Sampling, where each class is sampled for 20% of the total number of students. Thus from the population of mipa students in grade X and XI SMAN 1 Bukittinggi in the 2018/2019 school year amounted to 273 students spread across 8 locally, sampled by 20% of 56 students. The data obtained is processed using percentage technique (%). Based on the analysis of data obtained from the results of the study, it is known that students' perception of the teaching skills of field practice biology teachers in SMAN 1 as a whole is good with a percentage of 82.25%. While reviewed from each sub-variable described as follows: 1) Skills of opening and closing learning with a percentage of 85.14%, good category; 2) Skills managing classes with a percentage of 77,68%, category is quite good; 3) Reinforcement skills with a percentage of 74,25%, the category is quite good; 4) Skills guiding small group discussions with a percentage of 79,51%, a pretty good category; 5) Questioning skills with a percentage of 82.71%, good category; 6) Skill explaining with percentage 81.28, good category; 7) Skills held variasai with a percentage of 79.21%, the category is quite good; 8) Teaching skills of small groups and individuals with a percentage of 78,20%, the category is quite good; 9) Skills to develop and use learning media with a percentage of 82.42%, good category; 10) Esq developing skills with a percentage of 78.42%, the category is quite good.

Abstract

This research was motivated by various problems experienced by students to form and develop self-concepts. Family harmony and socioeconomic status are factors that are thought to influence the development of students' concepts. This study aims to describe: (1) family harmony, (2) the self-concept, (3) relationship of family harmony with self concept. This research uses quantitative methods of descriptive type correlational. The research population is 332 students of SMAN 1 Rao Pasaman. A sample of 182 students, selected with Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. The instrument used is model likert scale. The study findings showed that: (1) student family harmony is in a harmonious category with a percentage of 77.55% of the ideal, (2) the self-concept of the student's is in a positive category with a percentage of 68.88% of the ideal, (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between family harmony and self-concept, the contribution of family harmony to the self -concept is 19%. This means that family harmony variables can be used as predictors to predict self-concept.

Abstract

This research aims to get information about how big the effect adversity quotient toward Student’s Learning Motivation in Economics at the Sttate Senior High School of 2 Siak Hulu. The background of the research were some student cheated in doing their tasks, they did not submit their assignment on time, they did not bring their economics textbooks, and they did not study seriously. This was a quantitative research. The subject of this research was the eleventh grade students whose major were sosial science. The object of this research was the effect adversity quotient to word students’s learning motivation. The number of sample of this research were 127 students. The research used random sampling technique. The data collection technique used was questionares and documentations. This technique of analysis used to examine the hypothesis was simple linier regression. Based on the result of the research and data analysis, it was found that ro (observasi) 0,688 bigger than rt (tabel) with the level of sifnificance 5% (0,1743) and 1% (0,2278) at (0,1743<0,688>0,2278) or that there is a significant effect of adversity quotient toword students’ learning motivation in economics at the State Senior High School of 2 Siak Hulu. The percentage of adversity quotient effect toward students’ learning motivation was 47,3% while the rest 52,7% was influenced by other variables which were not included in this research.

Abstract

The big challenge in the world of education during the Covid 19 pandemic is overcoming the difficulties of implementing online learning, and what is equally important is building and increasing student motivation during the Covid 19 pandemic. Having good motivation in learning will show good results so that in expect an increase in the quality of learning as mandated by the National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003 national education which aims to educate the nation's life and improve the quality of learning This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The population in this study were students of Unisla management study program. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The analysis tools used were validity and reliability analysis to determine the reliability of a questionnaire used in the study. In this study also used correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, t test and F test assisted by the IBM SPSS Statistics version 25 software for windows. The results showed that the learning independence variable partially had a positive and significant effect on the learning motivation variable. The lecturer competence variable partially has a positive and significant effect on the learning motivation variable. The variables of independent learning and lecturer competence simultaneously have a significant influence on student learning motivation variables. The percentage of the influence of the independent learning variable and lecturer competence on student learning motivation shows a value of 72.2% and the remaining 27.8% is influenced by variables other than variables X1 and X2.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The pattern of image application used by poets in a literary work, especially the text of the ship's verse, can affect the quality of the text of the ship's verse. The messages to be conveyed through literary works must be creative so that they appear attractive to read and listen to, so special characteristics and patterns are needed, especially in the field of image itself, to make his work beautiful and attractive. There are many ways to enjoy, understand and appreciate the work of the author, one of which is to study the Utilization of Imagery in Anang Kasim's Version of the Syair Surat Kapal of the Indragiri Malay Community. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze and interpret the Utilization of Images in Anang Kasim's Version of the Syair Surat Kapal of the Indragiri Malay Community. This needs to be examined because the existence of a literary work can be seen from how the author packages his work so that he can create its own patterns and styles from the author's side. This research is descriptive with content analysis method. The data of this research are sourced from the book Syair Surat Kapal Masyarakat Melayu Indragiri Karya Dedi Iswanto 2007. The data studied were documented by reading, taking notes, then summarized and grouped based on the pattern of applying images in Anang Kasim's version of Anang Kasim's version of Syair Surat Kapal Surat Melayu Indragiri Community. Based on the author's observations, the text of Anang Kasim's version of the Syair Surat Kapal Melayu Indragiri version has a unique and distinctive pattern of application of imagery utilization seen from the stylistic aspect, namely quality imagery so that readers are able to enjoy and interpret the express and implied meanings of the verse. Abstract

The Covid19 pandemic that came suddenly has demanded a radical change in the learning system. Many are not ready for the change in the system, schools are constrained in providing services to their students, as well as the way teachers provide learning to their students. This problem is also faced by guidance and counseling teachers in providing services to their students. The purpose of this study was to uncover guidance and counseling teacher services, student responses, and barriers to guidance and counseling services during the Covid19 pandemic. The method used is a qualitative approach to the phenomenological model. The results showed that the guidance and counseling services provided by teachers during the Covid19 pandemic were not optimal. Student responses in receiving services vary. Each subject experienced different obstacles, most students were constrained in taking virtual lessons, did not have cellphones, did not have laptops, the ability to buy credit was very limited, and internet network access was unstable so that students became constrained in learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aims of this research was to know students' ability in speaking and to find out which aspects are the most dominant problems for the students at the second grade students of SMP YLPI Pekanbaru. The focused of this research was to analyze the students' problems in speaking based on five components of speaking which are pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. The design of this research was a qualitative research. This research was conducted at SMP YLPI Pekanbaru. The population of this research was the second-grade students at SMP YLPI Pekanbaru which consists of 54 students. The researchers chose class II.2 as a sample with the total number of the students were 28 students through purposive technique sampling. The researchers used speaking test as the instrument of research. This research conducted via Whatsapp by recording the students’ performances when retell descriptive text. Then the researcher transcribed the videos into scripts and asked raters to provide the scores. From the results of this study, the researcher found that the students' speaking ability in retelling story had the average score of 3 and categorized as a good level. The pronunciation component, the students’ mean score was 2.8 points, while grammar got 3.5 points. Following that, vocabulary component was 3.2 points, conversely on fluency, it was 2.7 points. The last, the students’ average score on the component of comprehension was 2.8 points. Finally, it can be concluded that the most dominant problem faced by students in speaking was the fluency component. Keyword: Students’ Speaking Ability, Retelling Story, Descriptive Text

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the critical thinking skills of students in the Accounting Education Study Program, Islamic University of Riau. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research. The population and sample of this study were all students of the 5th semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, totaling 48 people. Collecting research data using documentation study techniques, and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of Accounting Education students, on average, had good abilities. However, there are still some students who have a low critical thinking category. This is due to; 1) Some students are still formulating questions that are classified as CI and C2. 2) Students tend to answer questions briefly, without providing further explanation. 3) Students still use reasons that focus on the words of the book or take it directly from the internet without examining it first. Therefore, students must be encouraged to improve their abilities in critical thinking.

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of the material benefits and value of an item on student creativity in utilizing used goods. This study aims to determine how much the influence of material benefits and values ​​on students' creativity in utilizing used goods at SMAN 1 Salo, Kampar Regency. This research was conducted at Salo 1 State Senior High School, Kampar Regency, with 57 students as the subject. This research was conducted from 19 July - 9 September 2013, with data collection techniques through tests, questionnaires (questionnaires) and documentation, while the object of this research is the material benefits and value of an item, and students' creativity in utilizing used goods. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the material benefits and value of an item have a significant influence on students' creativity in utilizing used goods. This can be seen from the r count Product Moment which is greater than r table both from the significant level of 5% and 1% (0.250 <0.450> 0.325). Associated with the entrepreneurial mindset in an effort to encourage entrepreneurs who come from the younger generation, our educational curriculum must instill in students the potential for entrepreneurship.
