Abstract

Learning activities in formal education can not be separated from the process of learning activities at school. In order for the learning process goes well, then a teacher in addition to mastering the material, is also required to master the model that can enable learners in the learning process.Successful achievement of educational goals in schools much depends on how the process experienced by learners as learners. The learning process can be done in school, at home, or study guidance. For learning in school, learners are faced with a number of subjects, one of the subjects of mathematics. Mathematics is a compulsory subject accepted by SMA/MA students.Mathematics is a science that studies about the material, natural phenomena and mechanisms that occur in it. More simply can be said that math is closely related to daily life. One alternative learning model that is expected to enable learners is cooperative three-step interview technique.Cooperative learning type three-step interview is one type of cooperative learning is quite simple, and can be trained to learners who are not accustomed to follow cooperative learning. Cooperative learning model of three-step interview can help learners to strengthen and master the concept of subject matter. This model gives learners the opportunity to work independently and cooperate with others by exchanging opinions and exchanging information with other learners in their group.According to Lie with the application of three-step intervew model gives at least eight times more chance to each learner to discuss in group.Based on the results obtained the value of the first cycle, the second cycle and the third cycle in a row (82,10%), (83,63%) and (87,16%).

Abstract

Learning is essentially a process of interaction with all situations around individuals. Learning can be viewed as a process directed to the goals and processes of doing through various experiences. Learning is also a process of seeing, observing, and understanding things. In the learning process there are two activities that interact, namely learning activities and teaching activities.Learning is an active activity of learners in building meaning or understanding. Activity learners in undergoing learning activities is one key to success to improve learning outcomes. Optimal learning outcomes are the main goals to be achieved in the learning process. To optimize the learning outcomes of learners required methods and learning models in accordance with teaching materials. The learning process can be done in school, at home, or in the place of study guidance. For learning in school, learners are exposed to a number of subjects, one of them is biology subjects. Biology is one of the subjects received by students in high school. Biology is the study of the structure contained in living things. More simply can be said that biology is closely related to daily life. What we experience, what we do, why it happened and why. Subjects in the subject of biology are generally theoretical, but also the ability of learners to understand the concept to link learning with daily life. One of the biology subject matter in the form of conceptual or theoretical understanding is tissue in plants.

Abstract

Strategy is a plan or steps that are carried out systematically, which has a system to facilitate the implementation of an activity in order to achieve the purpose specified. The learning process will be effective when learners participate in it and learners do most of the learning activities. The success of learning is influenced by various factors, one of which is the factor of learning strategy. Selection of learning strategy is very important because learning strategy is a way to deliver lesson materials so that in the process of teaching and learning the teacher is not too dominate the learning activities. The dominant thing is that learners only listen.Learning strategy is a planning that contains about a series of activities designed to achieve learning objectives, so that teachers need to understand well the role and function of the strategy in the implementation of the learning process. Active learning strategy can be used as an alternative learning that can improve the quality of physics learning.Learners use their ability to learn various problems and apply what they have learned. Implementation of appropriate learning strategy is expected to overcome the low learning outcomes of learners by making learners as independent learners and create an atmosphere that makes learners active in learning is a learning strategy FIRE-UP. According to Madden FIRE-UP strategy (Foundation, Intake information, Real meaning, Express your knowledge, Use available resources, Plan of action) can make learners more active because learners are made into independent learners. The stages of the FIRE-UP strategy will encourage learners to prepare for the basic knowledge of learners after studying their own textbooks or lesson materials in order to prepare learners to address the unknown (Foundation), how learners can concentrate on incorporating information acquired (Intake Information), creates the true meaning of the new information it receives through the process of assimilation into its real-world knowledge, reveals what is known and asks unknowns through discussion or re-teaches to its peers (Express your knowledge, Use available resources), as well as planning the activities of learners in presenting their group work (Plan of Action).Based on the results obtained the value of the first cycle, the second cycle and the third cycle in a row (77,94%), (81,76%) dan (85,97%).
