International Journal of Engineering and Emerging Technology is the biannual official publication of the Doctorate Program of Engineering Science, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. The journal is open to submission from scholars and experts in the wide areas of engineering, such as civil and construction, mechanical, architecture, electrical, electronic, and computer engineering, and information technology as well. The scope of these areas may encompass: (1) theory, methodology, practice, and applications; (2) analysis, design, development and evaluation; and (3) scientific and technical support to establishment of technical standards.

<![CDATA[Abstract — The research aims to analyze the enterprise architecture design of the archival unit of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology of Udayana University. The method used in developing the enterprise architecture is TOGAF framework. The TOGAF framework includes the preliminary stage, architectural visions, business architecture, information system architecture, technology architecture, opportunities and solutions, migration planning, implementation governance and change management architecture. This paper only covers discussion up to the planning stage of migration. The research revealed that enterprise information systems can create an integrated information system. TOGAF ADM can generate an enterprise architecture design that will be applied in the archival unit of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology of Udayana University, and able to meet the needs of business processes and users of the archival unit of the said faculty. <![CDATA[This study aims to determine the characteristics of pine resin as an alternative to resin on composites. Pine resin is pine species studied were merkuzii Jungh. et deVries that grew up in KPH East Bali. Pine resin is very difficult to freeze at room temperature. The pine resin used in the study was heated at 1700C for 150 minutes and with a 400 rpm magnetic stirrer speed. Further testing is done to determine the physical, mechanical, thermal and morphological properties of pine resin. Turpentine content in pine resin will decrease with heating treatment. There was a change of color due to heating and the mechanical nature of pine resin very brittle with SEM observation showed no pore in pine resin.]]>

<![CDATA[Development of technology security issues is one important aspect of an information system. Data security and information governance in an enterprise has an important role in maintaining the confidentiality of data in the company and keeping the data intact. Without good data security governance it will arise various problems such as vulnerable to hacker attacks and theft of important corporate data, the identity of employees in the company prone to be stolen by using phishing websites, and loss of data caused by technical things like sudden power outages or lost internet connection . The IT Baseline Protection Manual provides an effective way of understanding needs and priorities in securing data through the process of measuring the level of maturity (Capability Level). Audit of data and information security at PT. XYZ aims to measure the level of data security process capability using domains available in the IT Baseline Protection Manual. The audit stage starts from the case study survey, the selection of the IT Baseline Manual Protection domain and the results of the questionnaire obtained as a representation of the level of maturity with the assessment standard using Maturity Level. Maturity Level value obtained from the results of data security and information security using the domain of IT Baseline Protection Manual that is equal to 2,695 of the maximum score 5. Audit results show that the maturity level of dataI security process at PT. XYZ is at Level 2 (Managed) which still needs to be improved to achieve maximum data security. <![CDATA[The implementation of the charging manually lecture attendance list can give rise to various problems in monitoring students in real, spending a lot of files, and will need a room that is spacious enough for archive files lecture attendance When in a long time. Lecture attendance system the manual it's time replaced with a computerized attendance system and biometric features. In this research will be developed the system the presence of lectures based on face recognition and identification help ATMEGA32 microcontroller to open classroom. To be able to identify students facial recognition process on an image that is by using the method of Viola-Jones. From the test results, the success rate of introduction of the application of the presence of a lecture based on the identification of facial features using the methods of the Viola-jones of 89.3%. <![CDATA[Abstract—The purpose of this study is to develop a decision support system to decide the best new English Teacher. The methods used are method of analysis, design method, and literature study. The learning method that is done is to survey the running company system, conduct interview with HRD, and analysis the survey. In literature study conducted by looking for references sources related to the research undertaken. The design is data management subsystem, knowledge base model and user interface. The results achieved are the creation of an application decision support system that can be used to select the most appropriate English teacher and in accordance with the criteria required. <![CDATA[In activated carbons (AC’s) production, activation process has a significant role toward characteristics of AC’s yielded. The aim of this research is to investigate the activated carbons (AC’s) characteristics of tabah bamboo (Gigantochloc nigrociliata) manufactured by physical and chemical activations. Physical activation was carried out by heating up to 800° C, holding at that temperature during 1.5 hours under N2 flow. Chemical activation was undertaken by mixing a carbon precursor with activating agent (H3PO4) with weight ratio 1:1 during 6 hours. The mixed carbon precursor and H3PO4 was then heated up to 700° C, soaked during 1.5 hours under N2 flow. The results show that activated carbon (AC) provided by chemical activation has higher fix carbon and carbon (C) contents and lower ash, moisture and volatile then physical activation. AC manufactured by chemical activation yields 85.47 % fix carbon and 86.33 % carbon, meanwhile AC produced by physical activation has 82.28 % fixed carbon and 84.16.% carbon. Both types of activation give proximate analysis value that have fulfilled of Indonesian National Standard of AC (SNI 06-3730-1995)]]>

<![CDATA[PT Jamkrida Bali Mandara is a credit guarantee institution owned by Bali Province which operates PT Jamkrida Bali Mandara operational company utilizing Management Information System and in developing and maintenace this system company is assisted by some IT staff and vendor. The process of maintenance of existing systems required an assessment of the performance of IT division. This assessment is done through audit method using Maintenance Maturity Model (SMmm) software framework. <![CDATA[Immigration Denpasar Office is one of the technical service units performing task and function Directorate General of Immigration. The immigration document publishing is one of the functions of the services implemented by Immigration Office Denpasar. Data security is the most important thing in document publishing activities for Indonesian. To find out the level of capability and conditions of IT governance in document publishing service for Indonesians, an IT governance analysis activity relates to service management in security and data accuracy is required. The results of the analysis are expected to produce recommendations to improve IT management related to security services, it can better support the organization’s bussiness objectives in the future. The study used capability model as a measuring tool to respondents answers related to questionnaires based on COBIT 5 domain DSS05 (Manage Security Service) framework consisting of 8 subprocesses, with total 43 statements. The result of the recapitulation show the level 3 with the status of Largely Achieved gained 83% indicates the process of information security services have done regulary implemented.]]>

<![CDATA[the credit distribution is one of product of crediting of foundation that very helping for the citizens in increasing the economic. Credit matter foundation is one of institution citizen in which focusing economic field villagers that have functions shelter and help people of village dealing the financial. Being the institution of credit matter in villages the citizen can propose or ask loan credit of money with keep showing some criterion that as way in requirement of propose the credit. To make easier selective process and to achieve the result of objective score so it is needed a supporting system in taking decision where it can help to take decision. The steps of analytical hierarchy process (AHP) namely the making of matrix comparison couple criteria by using scale of AHP, determine comparison matrix, determine the value Eigen vector, determine the maximum of Eigen score, determine the consistence index score and ratio, and doing the normalization the value of score Eigen vector. The next, the heavy of score analytical hierarchy process will be timed with the heavy that having given by the taker decision, where the final score is total value that determining who is the candidate of customer who have rightful authority receiving the loan credit.]]>
