Abstract

Motorcycle parking is an important facility, especially in hospitals. However, motorbike parking facilities are often neglected and tend to be built improperly, as a result, the parking facilities are poor and uncomfortable to use. This study focuses on the largest hospital in Medan. Motorcycle parking at this hospital is used as parking for PT.ABC employees and hospital visitors. This hospital parking lot is located in the basement and consists of only one narrow lane used for entrance and came out simultaneously. The impact of this parking lane is to cause long queues, especially during busy hours such as office hours. The second problem is, the parking lot is quite far from the entrance to the PT.ABC office and the entrance to the hospital so that it makes users walk further from the parking lot to their destination. The results of this study were to redesign the Layout of the motorcycle parking lot by applying the parking guidelines of the directorate general of land transportation and using the Craft method to increase the efficiency of the user's distance.

Abstract

PT. X is a company that is engaged in printing, the high order requires the company to maintain production machines so that consumer orders can be sent according to the specified time. This company is inseparable from the problem of the effectiveness of the printing machine, because this machine is the company's main machine and improper handling and maintenance of the machine will result in losses. Therefore we need effective and efficient steps in machine maintenance to overcome and prevent these problems. This study discusses maintenance performance by taking into account the value of Mean Time Beetwen Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and machine availability, using data from May 2019 to April 2020 to find out information about the actual state of the maintenance system, whether good or bad. Based on the results of MTBF data processing, it is concluded that the reliability of the machine is not stable, the MTTR graph is stable, which means that the ability (skill) of the maintenance operator is good and the machine availability needs to be improved.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the processing of palm oil with the concept of production side by side with consumer orders (make to order). Production results do not match the specifications desired by consumers. A total of 19 parameter values of X diglycerides and 17 parameter values of X triglycerides from biodiesel products produced by the company exceed the upper and lower limit values (out of control) so that the cost of repairing biodiesel by the company increases. The loss function between quality assessment between damage and loss is used to assess the direct relationship between loss and damage in the process. By using the Quality Loss Function method of the Smaller the Better type the quality value received by the company is Rp. 16,320,624,192.96.

Abstract

Klinik Citra Medika Medan Marelan is one of the service companies in the field of health services. The problems that occur in the service process are the number of non-value added activities that affect the service process flow. Improvements were made to solve the problem by applying the lean service concept to service. In the application of lean service used VSM (Value Stream Mapping) as a method to explain the flow of processes in visual form. The results of identification with VSM namely process activity mapping obtained 25.15% value added activity, 48.99% non value added activity, and 25.86% is necessary but not value added activity. The results of waste identification in the questionnaire obtained waste that often occurs in the service process, namely the process of getting approvals with a weight of 139, bocklog in work qeeves with weight 137, waiting for the next step with a weight of 136.5, doing unnecessary work not requested with a weight of 134, 5, transport of document with a weight of 131.5 and an error in document with a weight of 129.5.

Abstract

PT RAA is one of company that moves in terms of pharmaceutical industry. In the process of checking the quality of pharmaceutical products involving one of the instrumentation namely HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography). The data used in the research is secondary data obtained from the instrument logsheet hplc 2019 2010 than years up to. The method used to determine the critical component is the ABC Classification Method. he critical components of the HPLC instrumentation tool are D2 Lamp L-6585-02 with MTTF value of 277 days, Grating component, Sample Loop Assy with MTTF value of 305 days, and Plunger and Peek Neddle Seal components with MTTF value of 342 days. Calculation of the value of function damage to critical components used the calculation of the selected distribution method, namely Weibull distribution. Optimal ordering for D2 Lamp component L-6585-02 is 2 units / year with 1 unit ordering point, Grating component, Sample Loop Assy is 3 units / year with 1 unit ordering point, and Plunger and Peek Neddle Seal components are 3 units / year with a ordering point of 1 unit.

Abstract

This study used a rectilinear method in redesigning the layout of the salted fish production facility to minimize the mileage of Stefen Aluy's UKM. Stefen Aluy UKM is one of the salted fish businesses that is developing in West Aceh and its products are evenly distributed in West Aceh and its surroundings. The large production area makes it easier for UKM Stefen Aluy to maximize salted fish production. However, the large production area owned by UKM Stefen Aluy can result in long distances so that it is ineffective and efficient. The risk of worker fatigue and injury can occur due to the long distance. In addition, there is a risk of raw materials falling while moving. To minimize this potential, it is necessary to evaluate the layout of the salted fish production facilities at UKM Stefen Aluy, namely by improving the layout of the facilities. The rectilinear method can be used to minimize mileage in making layout improvements. From the results of the layout mapping based on the measurement of the rectilinear distance, the initial layout has a rectilinear distance of 6.932 cm, while the layout of the design results obtained a rectilinear distance of 3.409 cm. The result of the layout redesign resulted in a distance reduction of 49.04% from the previous distance.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda in the warehouse section I, which aims to analyze and identify the level of musculoskletal disorders experienced by operators when lifting fertilizers into trucks using Standard Nordic Quistionaire (SNQ). Determining workload using the NIOSH Lifting Equation method with the Biomechanics Software Tool where the tool aims to analyze quickly and easily in terms of postural activities experienced by a person's body and also provide a value of several levels of risk at work. The category of action with the assessment of biomechanical software is that the RWL value is obtained Recommended Weight Limit (RWL) = 13.174 and Lifting Index = 3,7951 Because LI > 1, this activity contains a risk of spinal injury for workers and the work method should not be maintained . Because this work can be categorized as dangerous for workers, the researchers recommend a tool to facilitate loading and compiling fertilizer into the truck in the form of a trolly that can move flexibly back and forth and can be placed in a truck carrying out loading and unloading.

Abstract

PT. Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA) is one of the cement producers in Indonesia with a current production capacity of 1.6 million tons per year. Coal is the main raw material used to produce electrical energy and the combustion process at PT. Andalas Build Solutions which were imported through several suppliers. The problem that occurs is the fluctuation in the use of raw materials that is not regular becomes an obstacle in the planning of fuel procurement for the company. Errors in planning the procurement of raw materials can result in excess or shortage of inventory. Excess raw materials cause several problems, such as the company has to provide more storage space and incur additional costs for storage and maintenance so that the quality of raw materials is maintained. The problem of raw material needs can be overcome by forecasting fuel consumption needs for the following month using the Single Exponential Smoothing method. From calculations using the Single Exponential Smoothing method with α = 0.1 for kiln units, the Mean Absolute Deviation is 2286.21, the Mean Squared Error is 7,850,751.46, and the Mean Absolute Percentage Error is 26.88%. For power plant units α = 0.5 Mean Absolute Deviation is 2367.05, Mean Squared Error is 9,001,707,06, and Mean Absolute Percentage Error is 18.35%. Meanwhile, the raw material needs in the next period are 10,057.49 tons for Kiln units and 14,265 tons for power plant units.

Abstract

This study discusses determining the performance of a coffee shop Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) with the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Comparative Performance Index (CPI) method, determining performance is an important thing that must be done by a coffee shop UKM to win the competition with other coffee shop UKM. . The calculation of performance determination uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is able to evaluate the relative efficiency level of a coffee shop unit, and which is non-parametric and multifactorial, both output and input. This study also uses the calculation of determining the performance of the Comparative Performance Index (CPI) as an alternative system in selecting coffee shop performance. This research was conducted at 8 coffee shop units in Meulaboh, West Aceh. This research was conducted to see the performance of the coffee shop which is still growing rapidly until now, considering that until now coffee shops are increasingly in demand by various groups. Attributes in determining performance are the number of customers, capital, income / profit, salary, number of workers and a questionnaire. From the results of the calculation of the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) all performance units are all efficiency because they get a value of 1 (100%) and in the Comparative Performance Index (CPI) calculation there are different rankings, namely warkop mae first rank, second rank arab coffee, third rank kupi atjeh ulee kareng, fourth in abudel's coffee and bistro, fifth in chaplin cafe & restaurant, sixth in gampong coffee shop and bistro, seventh in one cafe, and eighth in praja coffee.

Abstract

An increasingly competitive industrial era to maintain and increase interest in buying and selling products to consumers is very important, every business actor wants to how to win the competition in the business so that they can exist in this field by maintaining the quality of the products to be marketed. The coffee products in the company have three defects, namely damaged packaging containers, inappropriate weight, and coarse coffee grounds. The seven tools method will determine the causes of defects in coffee products. From the analysis of the Check Sheet table, it is known that there are three types of defects. From the histogram, it is known that the most defect data distribution is the damaged packaging containers of 1252 pcs, P control chart, it is known that the UCL value is 0.2993 and LCL -0.1525 these values are within the control limit. Pareto diagram shows that the most dominant type of defect is WKR (53.97%). Correlation calculations using the Scatter diagram obtained a value of -7.380. This value shows that the two relationships between defective packaging containers and coarse coffee grounds have a negative relationship. From the Fishbone diagram and RCA analysis, it is known that the causes of disability with the highest WKR are man, machine, method, and material factors. Corrective action, namely the need to change the packaging, provide breeding to the operator, provide training, and maintain the machine so that the engine remains in good condition.
