Abstract

This research describes the development of learning tools with Mind Mapping Problem Posing for students with cognitive style of field dependent and fied independent. Learning tools made in the form of syllabus, RPP, and LKM. There are two types of LKM developed, LKM for students who have an independent field cognitive style and who have a cognitive field dependent style. Of course, before the learning takes place required a cognitive style test first for students. The cognitive style test to determine the type of cognitive style that each student has. This research is a development research with the development model used is Thiagarajan development model known as Four-D Models (Model 4D). After analyzed, the learning tools can be applied in the learning in the classroom. Keywords: problem posing, mind mapping, cognitive style, learning tool, calculus

Abstract

A graph G of order p and size q is an called an (a,d)-edge antimagic total if there exist a bijection f:(V(G)E(G))? {1,2,...,p+q} such that the edge-weights, w(uv) =f(u)+f(v)+f(uv); ; uv,(G) form an arithmetic sequence with ¯first term a and common diference d. Such a graph G is called super if the smallest possible labels appear on the vertices. In this paper we will study a super edge-antimagic total Tribun Graph and the application of developing of polyalphabetic cryptosystem. The result shows that connected Tribun Graph admits a super (a; d)-edge antimagic total labeling for d = 0,1,2, and it can be used to develop a secure polyalphabetic cryptosystem. Keywords:  Super (a; d)-edge-antimagic total labeling, Tribun graph polyalphabetic cryptosystem.

Abstract

The ability to think critically is a thinking skill used to systematically investigate one's thinking process in using evidence and logic to the thinking process. This capability can be developed through the application of open ended problems. This type of research is qualitative. The research approach used is case study. Analysis of research data using the method of observation, test, and interview. In addition, validity and reliability tests were conducted on the instruments used. Based on the results of the validation level analysis for all aspects of 0.9 with high interpretation. The level of reliability of the test questions reached a high level with a coefficient of 0.92. The critical thinking ability of junior high school students in solving the problem of open ended problem math on the material of social arithmetic is still low reaching 50%. While the result of critical thinking ability analysis on each indicator is ability to give simple explanation 27%, build basic skill 24%, conclusion 18% make further explanation 10% and strategy and tactics reach 21%. Based on the above, there needs to be an alternative solution in improving students' critical thinking skills through the application of open ended problem in every learning mathematics. Keywords: Critical thinking ability,  open ended problem

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the difference of mathematics student learning outcomes users and non users LEKER GABEL with Hotpotatos at Universitas Islam Jember. Then to know the results of better learning mathematics between users and non users LEKER GABEL with Hotpotatos on the Structure of Algebra at Universitas Islam Jember. The kind of this research is comparative research with quantitative approach. The data collecting methods used is documentation, questionnaires and tests. The results of the research is the value of t-test is 1.854 and t table is 1.684 it appears that at the level of significance of 5% t-test> t table so that Ha accepted and Ho rejected. The conclusion that can be drawn from the results is there are differences in learning outcomes of students' mathematics students users and non users LEKER GABEL with Hotpotatos on the Structure of Algebra at Universitas Islam Jember. Then also the results the student learning of LEKER GABEL users with Hotpotatos better than student learning outcomes is not a user LEKER GABEL with Hotpotatos on the Structure of Algebra at the Universitas Islam Jember. Keywords: mathematics learning outcomes, LEKER GABEL and Hotpotatos
