Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the sectors that are essential pillars in the recovery of the Indonesian economy after the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in early 2020. Abstract

The development of sharia banking in Indonesia makes the need for competent human resources continues to increase. It is an opportunity for vocational high schools (SMK) to produce graduates with sharia banking competencies, such as SMK Muhammadiyah Dukun in Magelang. However, the relatively new sharia banking department is one of the obstacles to producing competent graduates. SMK has problems in the competence of teachers and learning facilities. This service carries out several activities to deal with these problems, organizing basic training in sharia banking, carrying out practical field activities (in collaboration with practitioners and the sharia finance industry), internships in sharia financial institutions, create modules for teaching materials for the teaching and learning process) and assist in solving competency test case questions. The output of this activity is the availability of modules and certified teachers by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), which are indicators of mastery of related competencies.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are places of learning for students who focus on Islamic religious education. One of them is the Assalafi Al Fitrah Islamic Boarding School located in the city of Surabaya, with approximately 3,344 students. Based on demographic analysis and the origin of students from various groups, awareness about food security and nutritional health is still lacking and has not been monitored properly. This can be seen from the situation in Islamic boarding schools where the nutritional status of students is still lacking. So, this community service aims to improve the nutritional health of adolescents through counseling, health checks, and the nutritional status of students. From the results of the community service program that has been carried out, it was found that the level of knowledge about adolescent nutrition in students was very good, with the results of the BMI examination, 25% were in normal conditions and 25% were categorized as having obesity-1 nutritional problems. The activity concludes that the level of knowledge of students about balanced nutrition is very good, but it needs to be balanced with the composition of balanced nutrition it needs every day.

Abstract

In general, many farmers tend to still regard rice straw as waste material that is burned. Burning rice straw is a bad habit because it removes organic matter that contains nutrients needed by plants. As a result, farmers require higher fertilizer costs in the next planting period which is contrary to the concept of Low External Input Sustainable Agriculture (LEISA). Community Service in Subak Telun Ayah aims to increase farmers' knowledge related to the use of compost in rice cultivation and as an effort to reduce inorganic fertilization. The methods used are surveys, interviews, discussions, counseling, and plot demonstrations. Farmers claim to burn rice straw because it is based on the knowledge passed down from generation to generation and it is believed that straw waste is quickly returned to the soil. Farmers do not do composting because they do not know how to compost rice straw. Based on farmers' problems, assistance is carried out by providing training and making demonstration plots. After the mentoring program, farmers are willing to do composting, moreover, it takes 30-35 days and is repeated every 7 days. Farmers' interest in composting is also triggered by the difficulty of obtaining inorganic fertilizers and the rising price of inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

The village of Kucur has a lot of potentials that can be improved further as a source of local income. Such potentials include the water park of Lembah Gunung Sari, the coffee-based products from Koperasi Kopi RTM, and the currently popular hiking and camping spot called Bukit Jabal. However, so far, the marketing of these potentials has been done minimally and in an unorganized manner. Therefore, the community service team will provide a workshop for the creative team of Kucur village, with the three groups mentioned above being the partners, to better promote their potential. To do this, the community service team simplified the basic principles in copywriting, namely the principles of Feature-Advantage-Benefit, Problem-Agitation-Solution (PAS), and audience identification in branding, conducted workshops to introduce the simplified principles and explore their own potential, created an Instagram account, and provided mentoring through WhatsApp groups. These activities took place between May and November in Kucur village. Based on the efforts made, the community service team found that the creative team now knows that they need to start exploring the advantages and benefits of their respective products and their target market before they can promote them to the public.
