Abstract

Segara Anakan lagoon was water located in the estuary between Ciamis regency and Cilacap regency. The purpose of this research is to observe sex ratio, the maturity level of gonad, and the gonad maturity index of Moolgarda sp. Sampling was conducted for three months, from March to May 2017. The method used is a simple random sampling method. The results of research that the sex ratio of Moolgarda sp. male is higher than female. The gonad maturity level of Moolgarda sp. was obtained from levels I, II, III, and IV. The Gonad Maturity Index value Moolgarda sp. males ranged from 0.0022% - 1.3041% while GMI Moolgarda sp. female 0.0424% - 5.5827% with a fecundity of Moolgarda sp. from 7356 - 131350 eggs.

Abstract

Aquaponic is one way to use a narrow area of land as a medium for fish cultivation and vegetables in one compartment. The types of commodities that are often cultivated using this system are tilapia fish, pakcoy vegetables, and kailan plants. The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness the use of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) and kailan (Brassica oleracea) on growth rates and feed conversion ratios by tilapia fish (Oreochromis sp.) cultivated in aquaponic aquaculture systems. The method used was an experimental design with a completely randomized using 3 treatments and 3 replications. The main parameters analyzed in this study were the specific growth rate (SGR) and the fish feed conversion ratio (FCR). Meanwhile, the supporting parameters measured include water quality variables such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. The results showed, during the maintenance of tilapia fish (Oreochromis sp.) with an aquaponic system, pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) and kailan plants (Brassica oleracea) had an effect on increasing growth rate and feed conversion ratio by tilapia (Oreochromis sp.). In addition, during the maintenance period the water quality parameters also tend to be stabilized and comply with quality standards. The conclusion from this research is that the application of kalian plant (Brassica oleracea) use in the aquaponic system of tilapia commodities is more effective than pakcoy plants (Brassica rapa L.) with an effective SGR value at 3.15% and an FCR value at 1.21.

Abstract

The use of anesthesia in the process of living fish transportation is an effort in keeping the physiology of fish alive and healthy to the destination. Durian leaves are one of the natural ingredients that can be used as fish anesthesia. The purpose of this research is to know the effective concentration of infusum durian leaves as anesthetic seeds of patin fish based on inductive time, sedative time and survival rate. Experimental studies use complete randomized designs, four treatments and threefold. The treatment of infusum concentrations of durian leaves 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. The time when fish begins to faint when inserted into the anesthesia solution is recorded as inductive time, whereas the time the fish began to recover back or knowingly recorded as a sedative time. The survival calculation is done on the number of fish surviving post-anesthesia with maintenance for 3 days. The results of this study showed that the effective concentration gained was 10%, with the inductive time (71.67 minutes) distinct from the apparent 20% concentration, but no apparent difference with the concentration of 30% and 40%. Meanwhile, the sedative time (0.25 minutes) differs from the concentration of 40%, but does not differ with concentrations of 20% and 30%. The survival rate of the fish seed Patin at a concentration of 10% showed real distinct results and reached 100%. Infusum concentration of durian leaves by 10% is an effective concentration in the anesthetic process of patin fish seeds.

Abstract

Gembili (Dioscorea esculenta) is a plant that contains high inulin. Inulin is a type of carbohydrate that contains fiber and is classified as a prebiotic. Inulin will still undergo fermentation even by the good microbes present in the large intestine so that it has positive implications for the diets of people with diabetes. This study aims to determine the effect of fortification of gembili flour (Dioscorea esculenta) on the physical, chemical, and organoleptic characteristics of tongkol-dregs tofu pindang nuggets. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The experimental design in the main study was a simple completely randomized design (CRD) using 4 replications. The independent variable used in this study is the difference in the concentration of gembili flour in the manufacture of tuna-tofu tuna pindang nuggets. While the dependent variable in this study is the content of food fiber nuggets of tuna-tofu. The results of this study indicate that the substitution of gembili flour with different concentrations has a significant effect on the inulin content of tongkol-tofu tuna nuggets. However, there is no significant effect on the physical characteristics, namely texture and organoleptics, which include the appearance, aroma, taste and texture of the tuna-tofu tuna nuggets.

Abstract

Vanname shrimp (Litopenaeus vanname) is still a favourite in shrimp culture production in Indonesia, since it has faster growth advantages. However, the White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) attack is still a big threat for farmers, because it can proliferates rapidly and cause mass mortality of 90-100%. The UPT Pengembangan Budidaya Air Payau in Bangil maintains vanname and controls virus infection by detecting through a molecular approach. Detection using the Nested PCR method with IQ 2000 kit with molecular weight marker 848 bp, 550 bp, 296 bp. The sample will be tested positive if the bands that appear are in the size 296 bp and / or 550 bp . The results of the detection in shrimp rearing ponds were negative (-) because only the band 848 bp that showed, it was mean the shrimp free from WSSV infection. Water quality data shows that the shrimp rearing environment is in optimal conditions.

Abstract

Abstract

Fish health is an important problem faced by Cantang grouper (Ephinephelus sp.) Hatcheries. Broodstock health management needs to be managed properly so as not to decrease the quality and production of Cantang grouper seeds. Cantang grouper broodstock health management includes the process of maintaining grouper broodstock, feeding, disease control and water quality management. The data collection method is done by recording the results of active participation, interviews and observations. Broodstock grouper cantang are maintained in ponds made of concrete with sizes ranging from 150 meter kibik and a depth of 3 meter. Pond cleaning is carried out once or twice a month with the addition of 2 kg of chlorine / 150 tons of water. Grouper broodstock is fed 10 kg for 24 broodstock. feed in the form of trash fish, squid, mackarel, vitamin C and vitamin E. The types of diseases that often attack grouper broodstock are Criptocaryon irritans, Benedia sp and Vibrio alginolyticus. Water quality parameters measured in grouper broodstock ponds are salinity and temperature. The water salinity in broodstock ponds ranges from 34 - 35 ppt and temperatures range from 27-31 derajat celcius.
