Abstract

One of the strategies to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in orphanages is to socialize Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) and the application of Occupational Safety, Health and Health (K3) through education. The majority of orphanage residents, including caretakers, caregivers, and caretakers, are used to participating in activities together. The possibility of spreading the disease Covid-19 is present in this situation. To prevent transmission of the Corona virus, orphanage managers must be able to anticipate residents coming in and out of the orphanage, as well as outside parties such as food providers and other needs. Purpose: Increase the knowledge, understanding and behavior of managers and the use of OSH during the COVID-19 pandemic among children at the Yuliwis Resman Orphanage. This service activity is carried out by conveying PHBS information and the use of K3 in preventing Covid through audio-visual media, questions and answers, and demonstrations. Pre and post tests were carried out during the activity, which involved 31 children and adolescents as well as 8 supervisors and caregivers. After the activity, participants' knowledge and understanding of the implementation of PHBS and K3 increased. Participants increased the average point score from the pre-test to 67 and the average post-test score to 95 by successfully demonstrating how to wash their hands and answering the questions asked. Orphanage managers, caregivers and residents become more aware of PHBS and the efforts made to implement occupational safety and health by demonstrating one of the clean and healthy living behaviors, namely washing hands properly, how to maintain the cleanliness of the orphanage.

Abstract

Our community service provides assistance in preparing financial statements for Islamic boarding schools business units. There are many Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. Some of them have been able to develop their internal funding sources through their economic business units. They maintain their own funding resources to generate their income. Darul XXY Islamic Boarding School built a grocery store and a mineral water shop. Why a business unit? Because these business units have the characteristics of promoting independence, making profits, creating new entrepreneurs, as well as media for developing social and community sides. This activity seeks to support Islamic boarding schools to increase the accountability of business units. Through assistance to employees and teachers in preparing financial statements, it is hoped that this activity will be able to increase the accountability and independence of business units within the Islamic boarding school environment. Indirectly, this activity is expected to encourage the creation of “santripreneur” in this Islamic boarding school, as well as students around Mataram City.

Abstract

Abstract : The role of a lecturer is very much needed, especially for the community around the university where the lecturer serves, one of the assistance needed is in terms of economic improvement, this is the background behind the Malang Islamic University to mobilize lecturers in its civitas environment to provide assistance to the community as a form of implementing the Tridharma college is dedication. In the context of this service, the devotees are targeting an UMKM IRT "Amanah" with Krispi Seasoning Flour, which is located in the Kedungkandang sub-district, Malang city. Referring to the results of the observation of needs, this service is aimed at improving the quality of production to make it more hygienic and economical, assistance in financial administration management also needs to be done to clarify the financial flow of production. The service method used is the mentoring method, namely giving a presentation of the material that has been prepared, which is then followed by discussion and training. The results of this service are able to improve the quality of production at "Amanah" IRT SMEs so that the quality of production becomes more hygienic, the addition of a new mixer machine makes the production process more economical and reduces production costs slightly, because it no longer requires human labor. Meanwhile, in relation to marketing, the use of new packaging is more attractive to consumers to choose "amanah" crispy seasoned flour products than other products, so that it is able to increase sales turnover in "Amanah" IRT MSMEs. The financial bookkeeping has been carried out according to mutually agreed procedures, so that it can increase trust between production members. With this assistance from the UNISMA Lecturer Service Team, of course, the "Amanah" IRT MSMEs are increasingly advanced, which also has an impact on increasing the welfare of the surrounding community, besides that many new knowledge is provided, one of which is good production governance and financial administration management in accordance with procedure.

Abstract

Morotai Island is a seaweed cultivation development area. However, currently there are obstacles faced by cultivators, namely ice-ice disease and yield management. Efforts to optimally manage and utilize the potential for seaweed cultivation on small islands can be carried out through fostering small, medium and micro enterprises (MSMEs). The purpose of this service is to provide assistance in the process of cultivating good seaweed, while the benefits derived from this service are expected to produce sustainable seeds and create jobs for coastal communities. The implementation of this service was carried out in Koloray Village, South Morotai District, Morotai Island Regency, North Maluku. The subject of this activity is the Koloray Village Seaweed Farmer Group. The process of implementing this service includes: mapping the potential for cultivation land, mapping aspects of community human resources, program socialization, and institutional strengthening training in implementing seaweed cultivation. The results of this activity were mapping the location of seaweed cultivation so that locations that had previously been planted were obtained, taking into account accessibility, the area of the planting area and protection from waves, in addition to observing the quality of the waters including parameters of temperature, salinity, pH, brightness, depth and bottom of the waters. considered suitable according to good qualifications. For sustainability and success in business, institutional strengthening is also carried out in running a business as well as monitoring and evaluation. With this activity, the community, especially the cultivator group, have been able to determine the location selection, the selection of the cultivation method and the ability to overcome the main problems of seaweed cultivation, in this case the parrotfish, by changing the method from basic stakes to the floating net raft method.

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 greatly impacts the learning curriculum, especially at the vocational and higher education levels. They are required to play an active role in the success and acceleration of the implementation of industry 4.0. Higher Education becomes a kind of place for preparation or training for human resources (HR) to provide skills that are directly related to the application and development of applications that support industry 4.0. In order to support the government's efforts, the community service team at Telkom University and the Telkom Jakarta Institute of Technology actively participated in collaborating with SMK Nagrak Purwakarta. This community service focuses on bridging productivity between departments in Nagrak Vocational School such as the Food Crops and Horticulture Agribusiness (ATPH) department and the network computer engineering department (TKJ) so as to produce the right cultivation, namely Internet of Things (IoT) based aquaponics. This activity consists of making modules and video tutorials for students and teachers, designing sensors and devices, and making monitoring applications on smartphones to monitor aquaponic plants. The sensor designed consists of a PH detection sensor in the air and an oxygen sensor installed in the school's aquaponics garden. The students and teachers were enthusiastic in participating in workshops regarding IoT materials. Not only getting material, students and teachers then do direct practice to make aquaponics and monitor temperature. Based on a survey of the results of this community service implementation, teachers and students are very satisfied and enthusiastic about and hope that community service activities can be carried out on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Probiotics (Probio FM) is a liquid probiotic containing several species of lactic acid bacteria which are the result of microbial isolation taken from the digestive tract of Kerinci ducks. The function of probiotics is to maintain the balance of microflora in the intestine by reducing the number of pathogenic microbes in the intestine. The use of Probio FM can increase livestock productivity, namely increasing weight, appetite, and reducing production costs. The entrepreneurial goal of Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus (MBKM) is the addition of probiotics (Probio FM) to independent pellets to improve the growth performance of cultured fish. The method of activity is the active participation of MBKM students in the independent feed production process with the addition of Probio FM. As a result of the activity, the addition of Probio FM was effective in increasing the growth performance of aquacultured fish. Students get a learning experience in the form of independent feed production skills, and knowledge related to Probio FM.

Abstract

Feed is the main requirement of fish farming business with production cost allocation reaching 70%. Fulfillment of feed needs can be met, among others, from factory feed, independent feed and natural feed. Maggot is an alternative high protein natural feed that can be used as aquaculture fish feed. The thematic Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) in Kapuk Village, Bakam District, Bangka Regency aims to cultivate maggot as an alternative to aquaculture fish feed. Maggot cultivation media uses organic waste left over from vegetables from the local village market. The method of activity is active participation by involving Village Owned Enterprises (Bumdes) and the local community. The results of the activity, maggot cultivation was successful. Some of the products produced from maggot include live maggot, dry maggot and maggot pellets. It is hoped that the success of maggot cultivation can support the need for aquaculture fish feed to go to a food independent village.

Abstract

Perceived body image is a person's satisfaction with the weight he has, satisfaction in appearance, body shape, evaluating appearance and orientation of appearance and attention. More than 50% of young women want a slim body and the same number of young men want a change in weight. Negative body image causes a person to do a strict diet which has an impact on nutritional status. Community service activities that aim to provide knowledge related to body image which is given through empowerment to cadres so they can prevent malnutrition. This community service activity uses the counseling method with Power Point media and leaflets. This activity was carried out from early January to November 2022. Counseling was carried out directly to cadres in Pasir Putih Village, Depok. There were 26 cadres present. In this community service activity, an evaluation of the cadres was carried out in the form of questions related to positive body image knowledge. Community service activities are effective in increasing the knowledge of cadres. The results of the evaluation of the cadres were analyzed using a paired t-test and found that there were differences in knowledge before and after counseling with a p value of 0.02. The average value before being given counseling was 74.62 and after being given counseling it increased to 82.31. This community service activity has proven to be effective in increasing the knowledge of the cadres so that it is hoped that the cadres can prevent malnutrition through a positive body image.

Abstract

The limited level of knowledge about waste management and the inability to procure waste water treatment plant (WWTP) are the problems faced by Sari Murni industry. The waste is directly discharged into the Brangbiji river without waste water treatment. The purpose of this activity is to assist the Sari Murni industry in minimizing the waste generated by processing liquid waste into liquid fertilizer and tofu waste into animal feed. Activities carried out through counseling, training and mentoring. The result are (1) an increase in the knowledge and skills of patners in the manufacture of organis fertilizer and feed fermented, (2) skilled partners in processing waste into liquid fertilizer and animal feed,(3) skilled patner in product packaging and (4) 150 processed waste products. This activity has provided additional knowledge and skills in handling waste so that it has an impact on reducing the amount of waste into the environment and this good practice is an example for other tofu and tempe industries.

Abstract

Central nervous system (CNS) infection is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in children. The causes of CNS infections that are often found in children include bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Immunization is one way that has been proven safe and effective in preventing CNS infections in children. However, the coverage of child protection in Sumenep Regency still has not reached the target. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of health workers and cadres in the Pasongsongan Health Center area, Sumenep Regency about the dangers of CNS infections in children and their prevention. The selected partners are the Pasongsongan Community Health Center which covers the working area of 10 villages in Pasongsongan District, Sumenep Regency. Activities carried out using the counseling method through media zoom, in the form of lectures and questions and answers about the introduction and prevention of CNS infections. Pre-test and post-test assessments of extension activities were carried out to assess the increase in the participants' level of knowledge. There were 72 participants with varied backgrounds consisting of doctors, nurses, midwives, health workers and health cadres. As many as 68% of health workers had received socialization about CNS infection in children before during their education or continuing medical education. The level of knowledge of the participants was assessed from the pre and post tests which consisted of 10 multiple choice questions on the topic of CNS infection in children. From the evaluation results, the average pre-test score was 68.4 and the post-test was 100. An increase in knowledge was obtained with an average increase of 36.48% with the highest increase of 70 points and the smallest increase of 10 points. Community service activities in the form of counseling on CNS infections in children can increase the knowledge of health workers and cadres in the Pasongsongan Health Center, Sumenep Regency, about children's SSP infections.
