Abstract

Usually, response time is a waiting time that counts from patient giving prescription until they receive the medicine. Response time colud influence patients satisfied if took a long time to get the medicine. Besides that, those phenomena could decrease patient satisfaction dan they will think twice to come back to the hospital. Ibnu Sina Hospital tries to increase the pharmacy service with the observation of response time in Depo Pharmacy Pavilion. The purpose of that observation is to optimized pharmacy service by medicine prescription to dispended medicine prescription. This observation is done by retropective methode from January to March 2018. The result of this observation showed that respon time average for medicine prescription is 26 minutes and the average response time for dispende medicine is 36 minutes. This result is suitable with Phramcacautical Service Standart from Kepmenkes No.129/Menkes/SK/II/2008 about prescription services that said respon time for less medicine prescription is than 30 minutes meanwhile for the other one is less than 60 minutes.

Abstract

Not all mercury complex compounds can be stable for a long time. Some require additional stabilizers to keep mercury concentrations in the sample unchanged due to interference from outside factors such as measurement time, temperature, humidity, and light. One of the stabilizing compounds commonly used in the analysis of complex compounds is Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA). Addition of certain substances in the sample solution will have an influence on the character of the sample solution. In this article we will discuss the effect of PVA concentration on the results of analysis of mercury iodide-rhodamine B complex using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer method. The research in this article is experimental. Measurements are made by changing the Hgcation2+ to anion [HgI4]2-. The anion was reacted with rhodamine B and PVA compounds with varying concentrations, then analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The presence of mercury in solution gives rise to new peaks in the wavelength range of 592-606 nm. The concentration of PVA added as a stabilizing agent affects the measurement results. The more concentrated PVA concentration is used, the lower the peak of the mercury iodide-Rhodamine B complex on the spectrum.

Abstract

Microemulsion is a transparent, isotropic and thermodynamically stable preparation. Tea tree oil (TTO) is an essential oil extracted from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia by steam distillation which has been proven to have antibacterial and fungal uses. Optimization of microemulsion preparations to obtain preparations with small and stable droplet size is also a challenge. The design of an experiment is to design an experiment with a certain pattern, with a combination of certain input variables that allow to shorten the number of experiments. Based on the research results, it is known that the most influential factor on the microemulsion particle size is the combination of surfactants polysorbate 80 with co-surfactants propyleneglycol.

Abstract

Abstract Nanoparticles are non-viral vectors with biodegradability and controlled release abilities that are widely used in gene transfer. Nanoparticles are said to be able to effectively combine and concentrate DNA and RNA in products to be delivered to various cells. Based on changes in microRNA expression in cancer, delivery using microRNA nanoparticles from outside the body is expected to be one of the therapeutic solutions. Irradiated chitosan is assumed to undergo cutting off the main polysaccharide group to produce a smaller molecular weight compared to nonirradiated chitosan. The desired irradiation process to reduce chitosan particle size so that it has better absorption efficiency into the cell needs to be further evaluated including looking at its effect on the final potential zeta. Zeta potential is important to ensure that the nanoparticles are positive enough to be able to enter the negatively charged cell membrane. Chitosan used was irradiated at a dose of 5kGy mixed with 1: 1 nucleic acid ratio. The results of zeta potential measurements showed the highest zeta potential values of 15.27 mV and 13.63 mV obtained in the formula with chitosan-microRNA composition only. The measurement result of zeta potential of irradiated chitosan nanoparticles decreases the surface charge of the particles, this can reduce the potential of nanoparticles for the process of delivery into the cell.
