Abstract

This research aimed to study the histopathological heart rat of sub chronic toxicity 70% ethanol extract Citrus nobilis Lourr. Peel. This study used 40 male white Galur Wistar rats in sub-chronic toxicity and each divided into 4 groups (control group giving CMC Na 0,5%, dose group 40 mg/kg BB, dose group 200 mg/kg BB, and dose group 1000 mg/kb BB). Each group consists of 10 males. Each cage contains 5 rats of the same age and gender, fed and drunk in ad libitum method. Furthermore, the rats are being weighing in. 70% extraction of Citrus nobilis Lour peel is orally given to the rats, every day for 90 days accordance with the group. After rats were given dose treatment for 90 days then observed histopathology of heart. Each rat organ preparation was observed in five different fields of view then scored and processed with rank ratings then analyzed using non parametric statistical test using Kruskal Wallis test. 70% extraction of Citrus nobilis Lour peel for 90 days with a dose of 1000mg / kg of rats based on statistical tests showed damaged heart muscle cell on histopathological observation of the heart. It is then expected to continue on the chronic toxicity test of 70% extraction of Citrus nobilis Lour peel for 12 months to predict the safety of clinical use in humans in the long term. Abstract

Service satisfaction is achieved if what the patient gets exceeds what is expected. This study to determine the level of BPJS patient satisfaction and dimensions affect the level of satisfaction with pharmaceutical services provided in Drugstore Clinic Satkes Pusdokkes Headquarter Police. This reasearch was conducted the data of patients who were treated and carried out in cross sectional, by distribution questioner and analyzed descriptive. Reasearch subjects were teken by quota sampling technique. The level of satisfaction of this study was measured based on five dimensions of service quality and analyzed using percentase and likert scalet. The results of the showed that patients who were treated at the Drugstore Clinic Satkes Pusdokkes Headquarter Police were satisfied with the services provided by the services provided Keyword : Satisfaction level, pharmaceutical services, BPJS

Abstract

Instant drinks, which are often consumed by the public, are mostly sweetened drinks that contain high calories and artificialsweeteners and can cause various diseases, such as obesity, cancer, diabetes and others. This can be controlled and prevented by consuminglow-calorie sweeteners. Stevia is a plant that has a sweetness of 300 times that of sucrose, so it can be used as a low-calorie sweetener, suchas in the functional drink Pletok beer. This study aims to identify glycosides and to evaluate the physical evaluation of the low-caloriesweetener formula for Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana B.) in the functional beverage of Bir Pletok. Physical evaluation and hedonism test werecarried out on 20 panelists and 1 expert panelist, then analyzed descriptively. In this study, several tests of instant preparations were carriedout, namely organoleptic test, pH test, specific gravity test, movable volume test and hedonism test on 20 panelists and 1 expert panelist. Theresults of the research that have been done show that the leaves of Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana B.) contain diterpenoid glycosides and based onall test preparations the best formula of the three formulas is Formula II. Abstract

Sabun pembersih wajah umumnya mempunyai kemampuan daya bersih yang baik, khususnya pada kulit yang berjerawat. Salah satu bahan alam yang membantu pembersihan tersebut ialah daun jambu biji . Ekstrak daun jambu biji memiliki kandungan beberapa metabolit sekunder, seperti golongan tanin, triterpenoid, glikosida dan flavanoid, yang memiliki aktivitas antijerawat. Selain itu, pemilihan bentuk sediaan juga mempengaruhi daya bersih suatu sabun pembersih. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan pembuatan emulgel sabun pembersih yang berasal dari daun jambu biji serta dilakukan evaluasi fisik sesuai spesifikasi dan persyaratan yang ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan emulgel sabun pembersih dengan kadar ekstrak 9,779% memenuhi spesifikasi evaluasi organoleptis, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya bersih, dan tinggi busa. Namun, uji homogenitas masih belum memenuhi persyaratan sehingga diperlukan optimasi terkait pemilihan teknik pembuatan.

Abstract

Carrageenan in the pharmaceutical industry can be used as a stabilizer, thickener, gelling agent, emulsifier, and binder. Alkaline solutions such as KOH have two functions, which help extract polysaccharides to be more perfect and accelerate the elimination of 6-sulfate from the monomer unit to 3,6-anhydro-D-galactose so that it can improve the quality of carrageenan. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of to determine the effect KOH of differences concentration on yield carrageenan characteristics from the extraction results Microwave-assisted extraction (MAE). The carrageenan quality parameters tested water content, ash content, sulfate content and viscosity. The Eucheuma spinosum originating from the waters of Sumenep, Madura was extracted at the Phytochemical Laboratory of Pharmacy Program, Hang Tuah University, Surabaya using different concentrations of KOH 10%, 15%, and 20% with the Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE) method which was then filtered and neutralized with filtration and neutralized with The HCl is then precipitated with ethanol 96%, drying and grinding until to obtain a fine carrageenan is powder. The carrageenan obtained was then calculated the for yield percentage and analyzed for the water content, ash content, sulfate content and viscosity. The concentration of KOH affects % yield where an average increase in yield results along with increasing the concentration of KOH, the highest yield at 20% concentration of KOH is 37.41% ± 1.186 and an analysis of the standard carrageenan quality test is carried out where those that meet the quality requirements are water content, ash content, and sulfate content. As for viscosity, there was no significant difference in the KOH concentrations of 15% and 20%.

Abstract

One of the indicators used in assessing the success of drug use is prescription. Fluoroquinolone antibiotiks are one of the most frequently prescribed drugs. if the use is too high it will cause antibiotik resistance. The purpose of this study was to determine the overview of fluoroquinolone antibiotik prescription in outpatients at Rumah Sakit Ibnu Sina Gresik with a descriptive observational study design that carried out retrospective secondary data collection. This study used a population of all outpatient prescriptions who received fluoroquinolone class antibiotik therapy on February 1, 2020 - February 29, 2020 at the Outpatient Pharmacy Installation of Rumah Sakit Ibnu Sina Gresik with a sample size of 311 sheets of prescriptions taken by total sampling technique. It can produce the highest prescription profile from each of the analysis variables, namely 1 antibiotik item of 88.75%, lung clinic 21.87%, capsule preparation 58.80%, over 55 years of age 47.91%, generik fluoroquinolones 81.67% BPJS patients were 67.52% and fluoroquinolone second generation 69.77%. These results can be seen from the overview of outpatient prescriptions at Rumah Sakit Ibnu Sina Gresik on February 1 - February 29, 2020. Keywords: Prescribing, Antibiotik, Fluoroquinolone

Abstract

ABSTRAK Daun Belimbing Wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L) memiliki kandungan tanin dan flavonoid. Kandungan Flavonoid dan Tanin yang terdapat dalam belimbing wuluh mampu memberikan efek untuk menyembuhkan kulit yang mengalami kerusakan jaringan sel akibat luka bakar. Ada beberapa cara untuk pemanfaatan Daun Belimbing Wuluh antara lain dengan dibuat dalam sediaan salep. Pada penelitian ini salep dibuat dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh sebesar 10%, 15%, dan 20% mengguankan basis PEG 4000 dan PEG 400. Ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh diperoleh menggunakan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan etanol 70% sebagai pelarutnya. Salep yang sudah dibuat kemudian dilakukan uji karakteristik meliputi uji organoleptis, homogenitas, daya lekat dan uji daya sebar. Hasil uji organoleptis dan homogenitas di analisa secara deskrisptif kemudian hasil uji daya lekat dan uji daya sebar di analisa dengan menggunakan analisa statistik one-way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa salep berbentuk semipadat dengan warna hijau muda sampai hijau kehitaman. Hasil uji homogenitas di dapatkan untuk ketiga formula adalah homogen. Nilai daya sebar pada ketiga formula menunjukan perbedaan yang signifikan, pada hasil uji daya lekat dan pH didapatkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap ketiga formulasi. Dengan demikian perbedaan konsentrasi zat aktif yang digunakan berpengaruh terhadap daya sebar sediaan salep ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh. Kata kunci: Averrhoa bilimbi L; Salep; PEG ABSTRACT Carambola leaf Wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L) contains tannins and flavonoids. The content of flavonoids and tannins contained in starfruit able to give effect to heal skin damaged cell tissue from burns. There were several ways for utilization of Averrhoa bilimbi L. among others, made some preparations, especially ointment formulation. This study aims to formulate leaf extract ointment preparation starfruit (Averrhoa bilimbi L) with various concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20% using the PEG 4000 and PEG 400 as a base. Leaf extract obtained from meserasi leaf Averrhoa bilimbi L with 70% ethanol. The ointment that has been made is then subjected to characteristic tests including organoleptic tests, homogeneity, adhesion and spreadability tests. The results of the organoleptic test and homogeneity were analyzed descriptively, then the results of the adhesion test and the spreadability test were analyzed using one-way ANOVA statistical analysis. The results showed that the ointment was semisolid, light green to blackish green. The homogeneity test results obtained for the three formulas are homogeneous. The value of the spreadability of the three formulas showed a significant difference, the results of the adhesion and pH test showed no significant difference between the three formulations. Thus the difference in the concentration of the active substance used affects the spreadability of the starfruit leaf extract ointment. Keywords: Averrhoa bilimbi L; ointment; PEG

Abstract

Echinometra mathaei sea urchins are known to contain chemical compounds that can be used to overcome health problems, one of which has antioxidant activity. Some previous studies have explained the benefits of sea urchins but to ensure the quality assurance of sea urchins extracts, efforts should be made to determine the quality standards of sea urchins extract. This study aims to standardize specific parameters and non-specific parameters on Echinometra mathaei sea urchins extract to ensure the quality of 96% ethanol extract. Samples were obtained from Rongkang Beach, Kwanyar District, Bangkalan District, Madura which were then extracted using maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. The results of the study for specific parameters showed that organoleptically and macroscopically the extracts were thick, blackish brown in color and characteristic of sea urchins; levels of dissolved compounds in ethanol of 78.37%; levels of dissolved compounds in water of 93.09%; and chemical content tests showed that the extract contained steroid compounds, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, alkaloids and terpenoids. Determination of non-specific parameters showed that Echinometra mathaei sea urchin extract had a drying shrinkage of 3.03%; specific gravity of 0.8411 g/mL; water content of 5.32%; Pb heavy metal contamination was 7.28 mg/kg, Cd was <0.0024 mg/kg, Hg was <0.0002 mg / kg, Mg was 347.83 mg / kg; microbial contamination of <10 colonies / mL; and yeast mold contamination of <10 colonies/mL. The conclusion is Echinometra mathaei sea urchin extract has the potential to be developed into a medicinal preparation. Abstract

The essential oil of basil leaves (Oscimum basillicum L) has a mixture of chemical compositions, the most common of which are terpenes, aldehydes, alcohols, esters, phenols and ketones. Of these compounds that have antibacterial activity is linalool (51.2-74.73%) which is included in the terpenoid compound group. Objective: This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the concentration of basil essential oil on the physical quality test of gel preparations and to determine whether there is a difference in the effect of the concentration of basil essential oil on antibacterial activity. The essential oil of basil leaves essential oil hand antiseptic gel was formulated with 4%, 6%, and 8% concentration of basil essential oil. Method: Antibacterial activity test was performed using the Disk Diffusion method. Results: The results of the research for the hand antiseptic gel of the essential oil of basil leaves (Oscimum basillicum L) met the parameters of the organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, spreadability test and adhesion test. Basil leaf essential oil hand antiseptic gel with a concentration of 4% can inhibit bacterial growth with an average of 9mm, a concentration of 6% with an average of 10mm, and a concentration of 8% with an average of 12mm. By analyzing the data using One Way ANOVA, the Sig. 0,000 which means that there are differences in the three formulations. Conclusion: The three formulations are susceptible to strong inhibition.

Abstract

Abstract : Sea urchin (Echinometra mathaei) contains a compound of Echinochrome A, which is a polyhydroxy naphthoquinone that is known to be potential antioxidant. The antioxidant effect correlated with the antidiabetic activity that associated with oxidative stress conditions. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of 70% Ethanol Extract of sea urchin (Echinometra mathaei) on blood glucose levels in alloxan induced rats. This research was an experimental study using 30 male white rats, divided into 6 groups, i.e the negative control group (normal rat were only given CMC Na 0,5%), Positive control group (hyperglycemic rats were only treated with CMC Na 0,5%), metformin group as a refference standard group (hyperglycemic rats that treated with metformin) and the treatment group (hyperglycemic rats were treated with ethanol extract 70% of Echinometra mathaei dose of 100 mg/kgBW, 200 mg/kgBW and 400 mg/kgBW). Alloxan monohidrat 120 mg/KgBW was used as diabetogen agent. The parameters examined in this study were blood glucose levels of rats after 7 days of treatment. The observational data were analyzed using the One Way ANOVA (P < 0.05) and continued with LSD. The results of this study showed that all doses of ethanol extract significantly reduced blood glucose levels in rats compared to the control group. The most effective dose in reducing blood glucose levels and compared to metformin was 400 mg / kgBW. Key word: alloxan induced, Echinometra mathaei, ethanol 70%, hiperglycemia, marine product.
