Abstract

Patients with cancer will usually be on a long and repeated course of treatment. Specific and systemic drugs are needed to kill cancer cells such as vesikan drugs that have the side effect of extravasation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of chemotherapy drug administration (vesikan) with extravasation events in cancer patients. This type of research is a correlational analytic study with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted at Murni Teguh Hospital, Medan. The population in this study were 611 people and 10% samples were taken, 61 people. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test with a confidence level of 95% ( = 0.05). The research results are pointingThe majority of respondent drug types are Adriamycin (doxorubicin) (90.2%), minority of respondent drug types are Methotrexate (1.6%). ). The administration of chemotherapy drugs (vesikan) is significantly related to the incidence of extravasation in cancer patients in Medan Teguh Pure Hospital in 2018, p-value 0.004 <0.05. It is recommended to nurses to pay more attention to the results of giving chemotherapy drugs to patients and the effects that may arise such as extravasation. Nurses also need to provide health education to cancer patients about the drugs to be given so that patients are better prepared to deal with the side effects of chemotherapy for prescription drugs.

Abstract

Prison is a place where their environment can make stressful for prisoners. The environment always makes prisoners stress is uncontrolled prisoners behavior, undisciplinary, makes some fighting among prisoners, physically prisonable uncomfortable, narrow room due to overcapacity. Knitting activities were assumed to reduce stress levels for women prisoners. This research uses a quantitative method with quasy experiment approach. This research was collected in women prisons class II-a Medan. The population of this research were 535 respondents and samples obtained 84 respondents divided into two groups with each group of 42 respondents. Data analysis with univariate shows as frequency distribution of tables and bivariate analysis with independent sample t-tests. The results showed that 61.9% stress levels by intervention group was mild, and 38. 1% stress levels by intervention group was moderate. 52.4% stress levels by control group were severe, and 47.6% stress levels by intervention group was moderate. It was concluded that any influence between knitting activities towards decreasing stress levels with significant value (0,000 <0.05) and t-value (-8,015)> t-table (1,761). Recommendation for head of women prisons to provide knitting as a activity for reducing prisoners stress. Outcomes of the knitting activities can be sold in the public market. Abstract

The Nursing documentation that done is still incomplete, especially in evaluation notes and nurses notes. Incomplete patient file will have an impact on the quality of hospital services and legal ethical issues the purpose of this study is to obtain factors of documentation of the completeness of nursing care that done by staff nurse in the emergency room of Anutapura General Hospital Palu. This type of research is quantitative, with observational analytic cross sectional approached. Sampling numberwas total of population about 31 staff nurse. Data analysed by used chi-squer test with Fisher's Exact Test alternative test at significante level (ɑ <0.05). The results of the research on the level of good knowledge with the complete documentation category 91.3%, the level of poor knowledge category of incomplete 75.0%. and high workload with a complete documentation category about 40.0%, low workload with a complete documentation category about 9.5%. knowledge with the completeness of nursing care as a result of Fisher’s Exact Test alternative test results obtained P-value 0.015 (p <0.05), and workload with complete documentation of the results of Fisher’s Exact Test alternative test obtained P-value 0.002 (p <0.05). conclusion there is a relationship between workload, knowledge with the completeness of nursing care. Suggestions for the hospital to evaluate the workload efforts experienced by nurses in the emergency room so that documentation of nursing care conld be qualified for patient services.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the common health problems. People with hypertension must be able to control their blood pressure to avoid serious diseases such as stroke, heart failure, kidney failure and other chronic diseases. To avoid seious status, good knowledge is needed. Controlling blood pressure is the key to success for all people with hypertension to prevent severe increases in blood pressure. This research uses descriptive correlation method. This research was conducted in the district Karangmulya Garut. Population is all people hypertension in the Karangmulya working area of ​​the district. The sample was determined by the Non Probability Sampling technique, quota sampling. The sample of the study was 57 respondents. The results showed that more than half of the respondent had a good level of knowledge which was as much as 70.2%. More than half of the sufferers in the Karangmulya Community Health Center work to prevent recurrence of hypertension that has remained as much as 57.9%. From the results of statistical tests obtained p value 0.00 (<0.05), with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.609 which means that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge about hypertension and prevention of recurrence in patients with hypertension. Given that there are several findings in the study and limitations in this study, it is expected that in the future various parties can examine other factors related to the level of knowledge about hypertension and efforts to prevent recurrence in patients with hypertension, excluding the factors discussed in this study.

Abstract

Background Antenatal care is an important way to monitor and support and detect the health of pregnant women with normal mother normal pregnancy. The objective of this study is to know the relationship of knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women against antenatal care visit in Abi Ummi DW Sarmadi Clinic Palembang. The Methods used in this research are analytic surveys with the approach of "cross sectional" and samples are taken with consecutive sampling technique with 64 respondents. This data collect use questionnaire and bivariate analysis with chi-square tests. The result there is a significant relationship between knowledge with antenatal care visited in Abi Ummi DW Sarmadi Clinic Palembang with p value = 0,000, then significant relationship between attitude with antenatal care visited in Abi Ummi DW Sarmadi Clinic Palembang with p value = 0,000.

Poverty, of environmental health and knowledge of a person greatly affects the status of health in children under five years old .Is statistically there was a correlation between factors of economy with an instance of diarrhea in children under five years old, there was a correlation between other factors than a fuel mommy about the level of knowledge of healthful environment with an instance of diarrhea in toddler and he was there was a correlation between the level of knowledge of mommy about frequent bouts of diarrhea with the incident when the town diarrhea in children under five years old.

Abstract

Diabetic mellitus is the disease signed by increasing of blood sugar levels and could be immediately be cured instantly but need self care. Self care is individual planning action in controlling the disease to improve the health and life quality. The aims of this research to analyze the correlation between self care and life quality of diabetes mellitus patients in Garuda Ward of Anutapura General Hospital Palu. This is quantitative research it used analysis design with cross sectional approaching. Data is taken by using questions of summary of self care (SDSCA) and diabetes quality of life (DQOL) and samples taken by total sampling technique. The population number was 30 respondents and used univariate and bivariate analyzes with chi-square tests. Result found that more respondents have good self care (70%) with good quality of life (73. 3%) and chi-square test result that p value = 0.003 (p value <0.05) it means statistically having corellation between self care and quality of life. Conclusion that having a correlation between self care with quality of life diabetes mellitus patient in Garuda Ward of Anutapura General Hospital Palu. Patient diabetes mellitus expeeted cold improve the self care at the age of incerasing quality of life, health state and prevent the further complication.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is the main problem of mental disorder in the world. Most of patients that enter the psychiatric hospital suffer from schizophrenia (85% with schizophrenia). Violent act upon the schizophrenia patients is in line, the rate of nursing diagnose patients who suffer from violent act is the largest number on patient with mental disorder. There are various therapy activities of energy distribution group developed and researched; among them are with gymnastics medium. There are still few review studies on the effects of aerobics gymnastics and poco-poco gymnastics physical energy distribution on schizophrenia patients in reducing the rate of violent act. The objective of the systematic review is to evaluate the effects of aerobics gymnastics and poco-poco gymnastics physical energy distribution on schizophrenia patients in reducing the rate of violent act. Literature searching is conducted on Google Scholar. The study is published in Bahasa Indonesia. There are 578,000 articles found, however only 3 studies fulfill the search criteria. The result of this review shows that the therapy group activity of aerobics gymnastics and poco-poco gymnastics can reduce the rate of violent act. It improves the score of aggression self-control. This intervention can be conducted easily and inexpensively on the institutions providing mental health services.

Abstract

Prevent and infection control nurses are a professional and practitioner in hospitals and other health facilities. Based on the health ministry, every hospital must prevent transmission of infection. Nurse adherence is an intervention to separate medical garbage exactly. This research is quantitative correlational research aimed at analyzing correlation supervision of infection prevention control nurses with adherence managing medical and non-medical waste in Padang Lawas Hospital year 2018 with samples was 37 respondents. The results of the research obtained that 28.6% or 18 respondents of supervision performed by IPCN nurses were moderate and 18.9% or 7 respondents of supervision performed by IPCN nurses were less good. Nurses adherence good medical and nonmedical waste management was 22 respondents (59.5%). It was concluded that any correlation between the infection Prevention Control Nurse supervision and nurse adherence medical and nonmedical waste management (p value = 0.001). it is recommended that IPCN nurses provide more supervision until the low infection rate in hospitals.

Abstract

Hand washing is a intervention which as not important by nurses, but it is a really important thing to prevent nosocomial infection in hospital. Supervision assumed with relationship with intervention by nurses for hand washing. The research applied correlation analytic design with cross sectional approach. The location of the research was Siloam Dhirga Surya Hospital Medan. The research population were 77 respondents, taken by using total sampling technique. Data analysis with univariate and bivariate methods and using chi-square test with significant level 95% (α = 0.05). The results showed that 71.4% of supervision performed by ward heads was good, 28.6% of supervision performed by ward heads was less good. Nurses performed good hand washing (66.2%), and nurses performed less good hand washing (33.8%). It was concluded that any correlation between the ward heads’ supervision and nurses’ hand washing (p value=0.000). More good supervision by ward head and then more good nurses performed hand washing. It is recommended that the hospital management improve nurse behavior in performing hand washing to prevent from nosocomial infection.
