Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of principal leadership and work motivation on teaching quality of teachers in  Ogan Komering Ulu Timur  (OKUT) vocational school. The formulation of the problem in this study: (1) is there an influence of the principal leadership on the quality of teacher teaching?, (2) is there an influence of teacher work motivation on teaching quality?, (3) is there an influence between principal leadership and work motivation on teaching quality of teacher in OKUT vocational school. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method to see the effect partially between the existing variables. The results of this study obtained respondents' perceptions of the principal leadership obtained a score range of 116-150 and an average score of 130.79. Respondents' perceptions of performance motivation on teaching quality of teacher were obtained scores of 107-151 with a total score of 20191.00 and an average score of 134.43. The degree of influence of the principal leadership variable (X1) and the work motivation variable (X2) on teacher's teaching quality (Y) was 0.73 or 73%. Shows that teaching quality of teacher (Y) is jointly (simultaneously) influenced by the principal leadership variable (X1) and work motivation variable (X2) by 73% while the remaining 27% is influenced by other factors outside the equation model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of principal leadership and work commitment to the professionalism of primary school teachers. The formulation of the problem in this study, namely (1) how is the influence of the principal leadership on teacher professionalism?, (2) how is the influence of work commitment on teacher professionalism?, (3) how is the influence between principal leadership and teacher work commitment to teacher professionalism. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. This research is looking for systematic empirical data and in this study the researcher can’t directly control the independent variables because the events have occurred and according to their nature can’t be manipulated. This study places the influence of principal leadership and teacher work commitment to the professionalism of primary school teachers in Cokroaminoto cluster, Semidang Aji District, OKU Regency. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the performance of the Cokroaminoto cluster primary school teachers in good category of 65.5%, that’s, the mean or average score is 61.4155 which in 52–63 interval. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the professionalism of teachers in the professional category of teachers in carrying out their duties is 77.5%. However, there are still teachers whose professionalism is in the quite professional category at 12.0% and even there are still teachers who are less professional in carrying out their duties by 2.8%, this is reflected in the indicator that teachers do not master the methods and evaluation of learning outcomes. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis, the regression equation line Y = 18.668 + 0.260X1 + 0.472X2 is obtained. These results indicate that this positive sign is in accordance with the theory and can be interpreted that the principal leadership and teacher professionalism are good, so the teacher's performance will be good too.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principal leadership and work motivation on teacher work discipline. As for the formulation of the problem: (1) is there an influence between the principal's leadership on teacher work discipline?, (2) is there an influence between work motivation on teacher work discipline?, (3) is there a significant influence between principal leadership and work motivation jointly on teacher work discipline?. This research uses descriptive analysis method. The method used by researchers to get a view of the principal's leadership, work motivation and teacher work discipline. The sample in this study amounted to 108 teachers. From the results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the principal's leadership, the very good data category was chosen by 8 out of 108 (9.6%) respondents. While the good category was chosen by 21 respondents (25.3%). The sufficient category was chosen by 30 respondents (36.1%). 19 (23.0%) respondents chose the less category. For the very less category chosen by 5 (6.0%) respondents. If it is related to the mean value on the discipline questionnaire, which is 74.4819, then the average respondent chooses the sufficient category.

Abstract

this study aims to determine human resource management in improving the quality of education. The formulation of the problems in this research are: (1) how is human resource management in improving the quality of education?, (2) what are the obstacles faced in the implementation of human resource management in improving quality?, (3) what are the factors in the implementation of human resource management in improving the quality of education?, (4) how is the quality of education?. This research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data obtained were collected through observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results showed that human resource management at SD Negeri 170 Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU), both in quality improvement, implementation, supporting factors and the quality of education had been running optimally

Abstract

This study aims to determine the atmosphere of the academic in the midst of covid-19 pandemic at SD Negeri 169 Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU). The formulation of the problem in this study: (1) what is the academic atmosphere of SD Negeri 169 OKU in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic?, (2) what are the inhibiting factors in creating an academic atmosphere at SD Negeri 169 OKU in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic?. The type of research used is qualitative research with using qualitative descriptive analysis data. The data collection technique is done by interview, observation, documentation and triangulation. The results of the study were seen from the academic atmosphere and inhibiting factors in creating an academic atmosphere in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the academic atmosphere, the teaching and learning process at SD Negeri 169 OKU was running safely, orderly and conducive. The learning activity is distance and offline learning while adhering to health protocols in accordance with directions and instructions from the OKU District Education Office. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in creating an academic atmosphere in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic are (1) teachers find it difficult to evaluate student learning outcomes, (2) internet network constraints, (3) power lines that often go out, (4) not all students have smartphones and internet pulses, and (5) some students did not collect or send assignments given by the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to see the role of principals and teachers in improving the quality of learning at SMA Negeri 5 Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU). The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of principal leadership and teacher professionalism in an effort to improve the quality of learning. This research is a qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. The data source is 50 teachers. The data technique is done by interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study illustrate that the role of principal ownership and teacher professionalism in an effort to improve the quality of learning in schools has been done as well as possible. This is with the shared role of the teacher in planning the Learning Implementation Plan that has been made and approved by the principal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: motivation for teachers of islamic religious education at MI Nurul Ilmi Nabire, increasing learning of students at MI Nurul Ilmi Nabire, the effect of motivation for islamic religious education teachers on improving student learning outcomes in MI Nurul Ilmi Nabire. The method used is quantitative research with survey methods. The population was students at MI Nurul Ilmi Nabire with a sample of 30 people. Data obtained through questionnaires, interviews and observations. The results are then analyzed in a correlational manner which is presented in tabular form. Based on the results of the calculation of the product moment correlation with the help of SPSS version 16.0 where to find out each variable has a directional correlation of the two variables, namely the X variable and the Y variable, which indicates that motivation by the teacher has a correlation coefficient value of 0.479 (47.9%). While the results of the F-test are indicated by the value of Fcount (0.198) <Ftable (0.113) with a significance value of 0.660 > 0.05, which means that it is greater than 0.05. And the t-test results that get the value of tcount -445 < ttable 1.120 with a significance level of 0.660 > 0.05. This shows that the value of Sig. 0.05 has failed, because the results of both F and t is greater than 0.05. So it can be concluded that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected.

Abstract

education in the current Covid-19 pandemic era must be shifted from face-to-face learning systems to distance learning. This online learning requires suitable and appropriate media without reducing the quality of learning. The purpose of this research is the use of WhatsApp Group as a learning medium in universities during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is quantitative research methods. The instrument in this quantitative research is a research questionnaire. To find out the number of research results, it is known by knowing the percentage. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on education, namely the existence of Covid-19, has changed the education system in Indonesia from various levels. Online learning was carried out after the ban on face-to-face learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Online learning is carried out by utilizing online media that is relevant to needs. WhatsApp Group as a learning media in Higher Education, which is an online media commonly used in the communication process during a pandemic, was chosen to be used as a medium to support the distance learning system. WhatsApp Group apart from having powerful features, is also easy to reach and cheap in terms of data packages used for distance learning. WhatsApp Group media is a recommendation in the implementation of online learning today. The conclusion is that in the current pandemic era, online distance learning systems must use appropriate and comfortable online media without reducing their quality. WhatsApp is an online learning solution during the pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between work motivation and work discipline on teacher performance. The formulation of the problems in this study: (1) is there a correlation between work motivation and teacher performance?, (2) is there a correlation between work discipline and teacher performance?, (3) is there a correlation between work motivation and work discipline on teacher performance. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The sample in this study amounted to 74 students. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and documentation. The instrument used was a test sheet. The theories used are teaching and learning strategy theory and learning evaluation theory. The results of this study. Based on the respondents' perceptions of work motivation, a score range of 116-150 was obtained, with a total score of 20409 and an average score of 130.79 which in this case was categorized as quite good. Respondents' perceptions about the effect of work discipline on teacher performance obtained a score range of 107 - 151, with a total score of 20191.00 and an average score of 134.43 which is in the good category. The degree of influence of the work motivation variable (X1) and the work discipline variable (X2) on teacher performance (Y) was 0.73 or 73%. Abstract

The effect of creativity and work motivation on the productivity of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers. This study aims to determine the effect of creativity and work motivation on the productivity of IRE teachers in Lengkiti district at Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) district. As for the formulation of the problem, (1) is there an effect of creativity on the productivity of IRE elementary school teachers?, (2) is there an effect of motivation on the productivity of IRE elementary school teachers?, and (3) is there an effect of creativity and motivation on the productivity of IRE elementary school teachers?. This type of research is descriptive. The sample in this study amounted to 19 people in 19 SD Negeri in OKU District. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study. Based on respondents' perceptions about the effect of creativity on teacher productivity in a moderate category, the mean was 69.43. The results of the descriptive analysis of the effect of IRE motivation on teacher productivity are in a good category, the mean is 58.68. The results of the analysis of the effect of creativity and work motivation on teacher productivity are in moderate category with a mean of 49.59.
