Abstract

The determination of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) resulted in a decrease in community activities outside the room. On the other hand, it has an impact on reducing emission levels in the air which describes the condition of air quality in the Jagakarsa. This study was to measure ambient air quality conditions referring to the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU). The method of analysis is descriptive-quantitative. ISPU parameters measured were PM10, CO, SO2, NO2, and O3. All parameters were tested by paired t-test. The measurement results on the status of ambient air quality were in the "good" and "moderate" categories. The implementation of the PSBB had a significant positive impact on the PM10, NO2, and O3 parameters. About 76% of respondents gave the perception was a change in the decrease in air pollution in Jagakarsa. The conclusion of the study is that the ISPU value as long as the PSBB is in effect shows better air quality than before and or at the beginning of the PSBB implementation. Research recommendations emphasize controlling parameters that tend to fluctuate such as SO2 and CO. The policy implication is through tree planting programs or gas-absorbing gardens as a controller to maintain air quality.

Abstract

The availability of clean water is a right that must be obtained by all humans. Unfortunately, some water sources in Indonesia are polluted by total coliform and Escherichia coli and threaten health. This study aims to measure total coliform and Escherichia coli in the Weisai sub-district, Raja Ampat Regency, West Papua province as an effort to monitor environmental quality. This research is an observational study with a quantitative approach. Primary data in this study is the measurement of total coliform and Escherichia coli. The samples used were clean water in the borehole well of Bambang Sutejo village (T1); the dug well of Nyonya Fransina village (T2); and the dug well of Om Miter village (T3). Sample testing was conducted by the Environmental Health and Disease Control Technical Center (BTKLPP), Ambon City, and taken on November 28, 2022. The test results obtained, total coliform parameters of 1,600 MPN/100 mL and Escherichia coli 2.2 at T1. Meanwhile, the T3 concentration of total coliform and Escherichia coli exceeded 1,600 MPN/100 mL. T1 and T3 have values that exceed quality standards. This is due to livestock waste that does not have a wastewater disposal channel and the absence of communal domestic wastewater disposal channels

Abstract

Abstract: PT. X is a nut and bolt industry in Surabaya. PT. X treats their domestic wastewater in the Biofilter WWTP and uses it as water for sprinkling open spaces and green open spaces. This is interesting to learn because it can become material for study in domestic wastewater management systems in the industrial sector. The research method uses a qualitative data analysis approach with primary and secondary data sources. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results obtained are the existing conditions of water management, starting from the use of clean water to produce waste water, processing, utilization, and efficiency of waste water utilization. The processing produces recycled water which meets quality standards, so that it can be used as watering open spaces and green open spaces. The efficiency of domestic wastewater utilization reaches 99%, with the benefits obtained, namely being able to reduce the cost of purchasing clean water for irrigation and reduce the volume and load of pollutants in water bodies. Abstract

Abstract: PT. X is a company engaged in the field of Freezing Fish which in its production process produces B3 waste. The hazardous waste produced needs special management so that it does not pollute the environment. The purpose of this research is to determine the management of B3 waste technically based on the generation and type of B3 waste at PT. X. This research method uses primary data collection, secondary data and data analysis. PT. X has not been able to process B3 waste independently, so the manager cooperates with a third party to transport and process the resulting waste. The hazardous waste generated is Used Oil Filter (0.25 kg/month), Used Refrigerant (30 kg/month), Used lubricant packaging (0.25 kg/month), Used Oil (8.3 kg/month), Waste electronics (0.75 kg/month) as well as rags and B3 contaminated gloves (0.05 kg/month). PT. X requires TPS LB3 to store B3 waste before it is transported by a third party. The required dimensions of the TPS for hazardous waste are 4 m2

Abstract

Menongkah activities initially became the main livelihood of the Duano Tribe to fulfill their daily needs due to environmental degradation which caused bio-physical changes which caused the Duano Tribe to no longer be able to sail the ocean to catch fish so they settled by catching cockle (Anadara granosa) which abound in mud areas Indragiri Hilir. Menongkah activities are carried out using a tongkah board as a pedestal to catch cockles on the mud. Tongkah boards are used as a form of technological adaptation by the Duano Tribe to the muddy bio-physical environment. Livelihood with menongkah has been carried out for generations by the Duano people, so the culture of menongkah of the Duano tribe is a legacy that needs to be preserved. With government support, the menongkah activity is made one of the annual cultural festivals included in the Riau Province cultural tourism calendar. The environment which is the habitat of the cockle (Anadara granosa) needs to be maintained so that the existence of the Duano Tribe's livelihood and culture in menongkah is maintained.
