Abstract

The subject of this research is how to manage pesantren in Southeast Aceh in the aspect of economic independence, that relates to the problem of financial management in pesantren.  From 36 pesantren, only 6 of them are accredited A, one of the assessment indicators is economic aspect, it means the rest are considered not sufficiently financially independent.  If we/YOU see the data that is processed is qualitative using field research.  The data obtained from the managers of pesantren in Southeast Aceh.  The method of data collection was done through observation, interview, and documentation techniques.  The study uses observation guides, interview guidelines and data documentation as research instruments.  Data processing and analysis technique were carried out through three stages; data reduction, data presentation and data verification.  At the implementation level, generally the management of pesantren has held business units from various existing sources / potentials, in fact the implementation has not been running as it should.  The study also found that there is a relationship between quality and accessibility on the one hand, and the composition of income and expenditure at the pesantren level on the other hand.  Strategic advice for the development of financial management in pesantren in Southeast Aceh as well as research findings, including (1) the presence of a financial manager or someone who has financial competence;  (2) having a development plan as a form of achieving targets;  (3) forming business units as a form of independence;  and finally (4) team cohesiveness.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, it is necessary to have a leader who is able to manage his subordinates and institutions well. Leadership like this is very much needed in improving the quality of an institution so that it can survive. This study aims to determine the transformative leadership model in Islamic educational institutions. This research uses qualitative methods with the type of literature study. Data collection techniques are obtained from various sources, both journals, books and relevant documents. The results of this study indicate that transformative leadership has a positive impact on an Islamic educational institution, where transformative leadership can improve the performance of Human Resources (HR) for Islamic educational institutions. With the existence of transformative leadership in an educational institution, it can assist the institution in developing its organization. In addition, this leadership can motivate other leaders in leading an organization, both an Islamic educational institution and educational institutions in general.

Abstract

Principal's leadership is one of the supports success of a school to be an effective school. Being an effective school there needs to be a strong headmaster's leadership because the meaning of leadership is one's attitude to be able to influence others in order to work according to their responsibilities and achieve desired goals. This research is quantitative research with a survey method. From the results of this study, it was found that the principal's leadership style significantly influenced the effectiveness of schools in the State Vocational High School in Jambi Province. Based on the results of the analysis, the obtained value of thitung (8,54) > ttabel (1,969),  H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the high leadership style of the principal has a significant influence on school effectiveness. This means that the extent effectiveness of application the principal's leadership style will result, increase in school effectiveness. The research implications of these findings explain that better the principal's leadership style, more influential school's effectiveness will be.

Abstract

The issue of leadership becomes the study that never ends in every period. The leader is not only limited to being able to lead an organization, but the expected leader is a leader who is able to innovate and transform in finding solutions and developing a better organization. If quoting McGregor Burns' opinion, transformational leadership is a process in which leaders and followers together increase and develop their morality and motivation. In addition, a very brief but concise function that has been stated by the father of our education, Ki Hajar Dewantara, that a good leader must carry out functions, namely: "Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo" (meaning in front of giving the role model); "Ing Madyo Mangun Karso" (meaning in the middle of creating work opportunities); "Tut Wuri Handayani" (meaning from behind gives encouragement and direction). This study is part of a theoretical concept that tries to examine the transformational leadership of higher education and the scope of mutually beneficial international networks.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena E-learning dilaksanakan secara tiba-tiba tanpa direncanakan dari awal oleh pihak fakultas. Berbagai respon dari dosen dan mahasiswa muncul. Oleh karena itu diperlukan penelitian untuk mengetahui manajemen perkuliahan online yang terdapat pada Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol Padang. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data ialah wawancara yang mendalam dan studi dokumen.Sementara sumber data ialah wakil dekan bidang akademik, ketua/sekretaris prodi dan dosen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-learning dilaksanakan untuk mengganti perkuliahan konvensional guna mencegah Covid-19, dilaksanakan pada jadwal yang telah ditetapkan dengan menggunakan group WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Classroom, Facebook. E-learning yang dilaksanakan berupa fasilitated E-learning. Dosen selalu mendapat arahan dari pimpinan. Adapun yang menjadi kendala dalam proses pembelajaran daring ialah mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memperoleh jaringan.  Untuk pengevaluasiannya, setiap dosen harus melaporkan E-learning yang dilaksankan kepada pimpinan.

Abstract

Achievement of the purpose of implementing Higher Education is carried out by lecturers as the core implementing academic process. To support the goal process, the government is making various efforts to prosper educators. One of the government policies in the education sector is certification for educators. The state of certified lecturers at IAI Nusantara Batanghari began to increase in terms of performance compared to before being certified. The rationale and foundation of the implementation of certification activities for these lecturers have been regulated in accordance with the laws, regulations and decisions related to certification. As a lecturer who plays a very important role, ideally he has competencies that can be relied upon as educational staff; these competencies at least consist of personal competencies, professional competencies and social competencies. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach namely; research whose procedures produce descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from people and observed behavior. The quality of lecturer learning at IAI Nusantara Batanghari is based on four competencies, namely pedagogical competence, professional competence, social competence and personality competence.

Abstract

Descriptions and thoughts about leadership in the 21st century depart from the view that leaders must correctly and completely recognize the conditions and aspirations of the community or the people they lead. The leader's responsibility is to provide solutions wisely, effectively, and productively for the various problems and challenges it faces. For that, every leader needs to meet certain competencies and qualifications. Therefore, this study aims to determine the definition of leadership, functions, and leadership goals for Islamic higher education institutions in the 21st century, as well as the challenges of 21st century leadership and the urgency of leadership for Islamic educational institutions. This research method is qualitative through a content analysis approach with data collection techniques through various relevant references. The results of this study indicate that the leaders of the 21st century, namely; 1) Leaders who like and are able to face various challenges; 2) Leaders who are curious about various things; 3) Leaders who are able to build an established, conducive and professional work culture and organization; 4) Leaders who are able to build communication with various lines; 5) Leaders who have a commitment to progress, prosperity, and excellence.

Abstract

The idea of 21st Century leadership goes from the view that leaders must recognize precisely and fully both about themselves and about the conditions and aspirations of the people they lead, the development and the strategic environmental problems encountered in various fields, especially in the field they do, as well as the paradigm And the organizational and management systems in which it plays a role. The leader's responsibility is to provide solutions wisely and precisely on the problems and challenges facing his time, which is done with the people he leads. Organizational leaders occupy a central position in the effort to promote their institutions. Therefore, one of the things that a leader must have is creativity and innovation of his organization, an effort to make positive new breakthroughs that make the organization better, more advanced and ready to face the 21st century. In addition to having a vision and intelligent Intelligently, leaders are also required to have other intelligence in the face of the complexity of the current problems are increasingly difficult to overcome, namely emotional intelligence (EI).

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' understanding of career selection after obtaining information services including career selection on sub-variables of motivation, knowledge, personality, abilities. One of the uses of the results of this study is as information for students, lecturers, teachers, students, and readers on how students' understanding of career selection in MAN 2 Batusangkar. The research method used in this study is the method of "Field Research" (field research) that is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were students of class XII MAN 2 Batusangkar, totaling 256 people. The sample in this study were all students of class XII IS 1, amounting to 31 people in MAN 2 Batusangkar. The results showed that the understanding of students of class XII MAN 2 Batusangkar about career selection most students understood that the career would be continued at the College or Occupation and there were still a few who understood enough about the motivational factors that were lacking from individuals to choose the career they would choose for the future

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) obtain a descriptive understanding of students' entrepreneurship, family environment, school environment, and peer interaction among vocational students, (2) knowing the influence of personality, family environment, school environment, and peer interaction both together and individually in the entrepreneurship of vocational students, and (3) knowing how much influence the personality factors, family environment, school environment, and interactions peers together towards entrepreneurship in vocational students. This research is a survey research with ex post facto approach. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis, simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression analysis using of SPSS 20 software. The results showed that: (1) high entrepreneurship (50.5%), high personality (73.3%), high family environment (49.5%), high school environment (69.5%) and high peer interactions (44.8%), (2) there is an influence of personality, family environment, school environment, and peer interaction individually or together to entrepreneurship, and (3) effective contribution of personality variables, family environment, school environment, and peer interaction together towards entrepreneurship by 68.6% and the effective contribution of each variable namely family environment 53.5%, personality 9.7%, peer interaction 3.9%, and school environment 1.6 %.
