Abstract

One of the changes that have occurred in the field of education after the COVID-19 pandemic is the drastic change in the learning model, where teaching and learning activities are carried out online. This requires students to adapt quickly. This adjustment has an impact on students' psychological well-being as they deal with the changes that occur. The psychological well-being of post-pandemic students is in the low and medium categories, so an effort is needed to improve this condition. The optimistic thinking training aims to help students improve their psychological wellbeing after the pandemic. The stages in this program are providing optimistic thinking interventions using the ABCDE (Adversity, Belief, Consequences, Disposition, and Energization) method. The result of this training is an increase in psychological well-being among students who take part in the training program. Having psychological well-being can help students master and adapt to the environment effectively, establish positive relationships with others, and develop their potential from time to time. Highlights: Rapid Adaptation: Students faced a rapid shift to online learning during the pandemic, requiring quick adaptation to a new learning model. Optimistic Thinking Training: Implementing the ABCDE method, optimistic thinking training aims to improve the psychological well-being of post-pandemic students. Benefits of Psychological Well-Being: Improved psychological well-being helps students effectively navigate their environment, establish positive relationships, and maximize their potential. Abstract

This scientific article presents the results and implications of the "Kantin Kejujuran" community engagement program, aimed at cultivating entrepreneurial values among members of the Student Intra-School Organization (OSIS) in SMP YBPK Kota Kediri. The study utilized a three-stage methodological approach, beginning with the creation of a workplan to ensure the program's smooth execution without disrupting regular school activities. Subsequently, the program included a seminar on entrepreneurship specifically designed for OSIS members. Finally, a monitoring and evaluation process was conducted to assess the program's effectiveness. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in the entrepreneurship capabilities of OSIS members, as indicated by pretest and posttest data. Through practical involvement in the "Kantin Kejujuran," students engaged in activities such as planning, inventory management, and customer interaction, fostering their entrepreneurial skills, risk-taking, creativity, innovation, leadership, and responsibility. The program emphasized the importance of ethical conduct and social responsibility in business, offering students the opportunity to run a business with principles of honesty, fairness, and transparency. Beyond honing entrepreneurial skills, the program also enhanced students' independence, self-confidence, and interpersonal abilities. Encountering decision-making processes, challenges, and learning from mistakes promoted a positive attitude towards failure and resilience. Overall, this article highlights the effectiveness of the "Kantin Kejujuran" program in nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among OSIS members, with implications for educators and policymakers seeking to foster entrepreneurial development in schools worldwide. Highlight: Significant impact on OSIS members: The "Kantin Kejujuran" program effectively fosters entrepreneurial spirit among OSIS members at SMP YBPK Kota Kediri, demonstrated by significant improvements in their entrepreneurship capabilities from pretest to posttest. Practical business learning: Through the kiosk, students engage in practical business management, learning essential skills such as planning, inventory management, and customer interaction, while also developing qualities like risk-taking, creativity, innovation, leadership, and responsibility. Fostering positive attitudes: The program not only enhances entrepreneurial skills but also promotes positive attitudes towards failure, resilience, and decision-making, providing students with the confidence and independence to pursue their business ideas in the future. Abstract

This scientific article presents a community service activity aimed at addressing barriers to improving students' literacy and numeracy at SD Negeri Bulusari 1 Kec. Gempol, Kab. Pasuruan. The primary challenge faced by teachers was their limited knowledge in literacy and numeracy. To tackle this issue, a solution was implemented through literacy and numeracy material socialization. The study reveals that this socialization initiative significantly enhanced teachers' understanding of literacy and numeracy concepts and their ability to design engaging literacy and numeracy activities. The results highlight the potential of material socialization as a practical and effective strategy to empower educators and positively impact students' learning outcomes. Highlights: The study focuses on a community service activity that addresses the challenges of enhancing literacy and numeracy among students, particularly at SD Negeri Bulusari 1 Kec. Gempol, Kab. Abstract

This scientific article presents a community service initiative aimed at enhancing the self-awareness of women (housewives) in Durung Banjar Village, Indonesia, regarding environmental cleanliness and waste management. Through counseling and knowledge sharing activities, the project fostered a deeper understanding of the impacts of cleanliness on the ecosystem. The methodology involved observation, permit management, activity design, and engaging sessions encompassing counseling, videos, and discussions. The study's outcomes underscored the significance of waste processing for economic benefits, contributing to a sustainable and environmentally conscious society. The documented results, including activity videos and news articles, highlight the importance of promoting environmental stewardship and sustainable practices among global communities. Highlights: Importance of Women's Empowerment: The community service initiative focused on empowering women to take a leading role in maintaining environmental cleanliness and waste management, fostering a positive impact on their households and surroundings. Abstract

Desa Situ Udik is a village located in Bogor region with average age school has not yet reached 9 years. Even though the location of this village is close to the capital city of Indonesia, some children could not complete their high school due to financial reasons. In this regard, we took the initiative to conduct educational counseling with the aim of increasing public awareness of the important of education to elevate their lives. This event became one of our efforts as educators to minimize the number of dropout rates. The participants of this event are the parents, the children who have dropped-out of schools, and learners aged 4-12 years old. The events were scheduled for 2 days in a row. On the first day we held an education seminar for dropped-out of school children and their parents/guardians. On the second day we held an art performance for early-childhood and young learners in Desa Situ Udik to foster their learning motivation. Highlights: Financial constraints: Some children in Desa Situ Udik cannot complete high school due to financial reasons, hindering their educational progress. Educational awareness: The initiative of conducting educational counseling aims to increase public awareness of the importance of education in improving lives. Two-day event: The event includes an education seminar for dropped-out children and their parents on the first day and an art performance for early childhood and young learners on the second day to foster learning motivation. Abstract

This scientific article aims to investigate the integration of EdPuzzle media in teaching modules developed by high school English teachers following the Kurikulum Merdeka (KM) framework. Using document analysis, 16 EdPuzzle-integrated teaching module documents were qualitatively examined to understand teachers' preferences in selecting materials, methods, models, and assessments. The findings reveal that teachers successfully developed modules aligned with learning objectives and KM characteristics, incorporating EdPuzzle as both teaching material and assessment method. The study indicates a preference for narrative text topics, blended-learning models, and discussion methods. Writing skills were predominantly assessed using short-answer techniques, with EdPuzzle media mainly utilized for learning material rather than assessment. The implications suggest the need for teachers to diversify learning approaches, explore innovative techniques, and integrate technology effectively for an enhanced English Language Teaching experience. Highlight: The study explores the integration of EdPuzzle media in teaching modules within the context of Kurikulum Merdeka. High school English teachers successfully adapt teaching modules to align with learning objectives and KM characteristics. The majority of teachers utilize EdPuzzle both as learning material and as an assessment method, particularly in the context of narrative text topics. Abstract

This study aims to find the needs of the Public Administration Study Program related to Public Speaking to prepare graduates who are competent in speaking in public using English as a provision to face the global era. There is a desire and hope that graduates of the Public Administration Study Program have global competitiveness in addition to science related to administration. To maximize the potential of the next candidate for Public Administration graduates, a material design is needed to improve Public Speaking skills by first analyzing the Public Speaking skill needs that are most needed by the study program. This study analyzes the needs of expected materials from a semi-structured interview with the Head of the Public Administration Study Program. The results of the research show that the Public Administration study program wants to focus on learning objectives on improving communication skills based on the future job needs of graduates seen through tracer studies. Highlights: Effective Communication in English: Enhancing public speaking skills in English is crucial to prepare graduates for the global era and increase their international employability. Job-Oriented Learning Objectives: The study program aims to align public speaking materials with the specific needs of future jobs, identified through tracer studies, to make graduates more job-ready. Abstract

This article presents the outcomes of the Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) undertaken by a social movement organization in Indonesia. The program aimed to enhance the financial reporting capabilities of its leadership through a three-phase approach comprising training, mentoring, and evaluation of financial administration records. Virtual pre-training equipped participants with essential Excel and financial application skills. The results showed a significant improvement in financial reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability. Moreover, the financial administration training facilitated better planning and informed decision-making, fostering sustainable development. These implications resonate globally, encouraging similar community engagement initiatives to advance financial transparency and effectiveness. Abstract

This scientific article presents a case study on the development and implementation of a training program aimed at enhancing the production of seaweed-based dodol in Tlocor Kedungpandan Jabon Hamlet, Indonesia. Gracillaria verrucosa, an agar-producing red algae, holds promising potential for cultivation alongside shrimp and milkfish rearing. The study utilized a survey to assess the area's potential, engaged with local communities to identify challenges, and designed a training program accordingly. The training involved demonstrations and guidance on seaweed processing, handling, packaging, and marketing. The goal was to empower the community to produce high-quality seaweed dodol as a form of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and provide unique local products for Wisata Bahari Tlocor, the tourist destination. The results demonstrated that with proper training and support, the community could independently produce quality seaweed dodol, thereby increasing their socio-economic well-being. The findings suggest the need for continued support in product development, packaging, marketing, licensing, and capital investment to fully leverage the potential of seaweed-based products in the region. This study highlights the significance of community-based initiatives in promoting sustainable economic growth and preserving local culinary heritage through seaweed-based dodol production. Abstract

This scientific article presents a case study of ASMAN TEMAN SETIA, a local business group in Sawocangkring Village, Indonesia, specializing in producing various processed products from butterfly pea flowers. The study aims to improve public trust and market presence by obtaining Halal and BPOM certifications for their products. The research methodology involves collecting all necessary requirements for the certifications and registering them with the authorized authorities. The certified numbers are integrated into the product packaging for distribution through popular online marketplaces like Shopee and Tokopedia. The results reveal a significant increase in public trust, with the certified products garnering higher consumer confidence. The study also explores the potential of partnership and branding strategies, including registration on Google Business and Google Maps, to boost ASMAN TEMAN SETIA's popularity and facilitate accessibility for interested consumers. The implications of this research highlight the importance of certification in enhancing consumer confidence and expanding the market reach of local businesses, providing valuable insights for related professionals and stakeholders in the field of food product certification and marketing. Highlight: The study aims to compare wet cakes made from processed butterfly pea flower, ASMAN TEMAN SETIA, in Sawocangkring Village, Indonesia, after obtaining Halal and BPOM certifications. The implementation method involves collecting and fulfilling all requirements for Halal and BPOM permits and integrating the issued certificate numbers into the packaging design for distribution through online marketplaces like Shopee and Tokopedia, thereby increasing public trust.
