Nowadays, the teacher's task tends to compile reports, making so many administrations. Eventually there were many cases of teachers leaving the class, due to administrative work that was piling up. In this study, the researcher used 20 (twenty) samples of teachers who had become Civil Servants. Many of them are complaining about administrative tasks that are too much, because it is very difficult to divide up the work time and time to face to face with students. The teachers really hope that the Government of Indonesia revises its policy to reorganize so that the administrative tasks of the teacher are not too many, and the main tasks of the teacher can be carried out appropriately, namely face to face with students in presenting the subject matter and forming a good personality. Keywords: Government Policy, teacher's main tasks

Abstract

This article aims to deliver the results of our study on one of bookstagram community’s activities, namely book review. The study focuses on how the activity serves as a tradition that shapes the community’s identity. Employing reciprocal ethnography approach, we found that the book review activity (which is done repeatedly and continuously) is a form of invented tradition that confirms the community’s motive to influence readers to read and understand the reviewed books in various perspectives, in addition to getting in touch and creating bonds with other book readers. The review is a process carried out by bookstagrammers (nickname for bookstagram community’s members) to deliver their understanding about certain books in different point of views.  In addition, discussion and talks on Instagram elicited by the bookstagrammers’ reviews in the form of comments show that this tradition has significantly become a part of the community’s identity. Keywords: Bookstagram Community, book review, reciprocal ethnography

Abstract

Covid-19 still overshadows all activities of Indonesian society so that all activities carried out outside the home are limited through Government policy. Likewise, the activities of students at school were replaced by distance learning. All students learn from their homes via their smartphones, whether it's their own, or their parents or siblings. Distance Learning Activities have been carried out from March 2020 to February 2021, although face-to-face learning has been carried out several times. However, due to the situation and conditions that were still dangerous from the Covid-19 attack, Distance Learning was carried out again. This makes students less optimal in obtaining subject matter from the teacher, because they often get assignments rather than material. When the teacher gave the material, the students were only given the subject matter title, then asked the students to learn on their own. So that the attitude of boredom of students in Distance Learning activities was formed during the Covid-19 Pandemic. They spend more time playing online games and social media applications than on studying. Then a survey of students 'parents' consent was conducted so that Face-to-Face Learning was carried out so that learning activities could take place immediately, and students could get the maximum learning material.
