Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the poster as learning media on students' learning outcomes in 4th grade of MIS Al-Irsyadiyah in science. The research method implements quasi-experimental with one group postest-prettest design. A total of 22 4th-grade students in MIS Al-Irsyadiyah participated in this study as research samples. The data collection techniques in this study implement test instrument that was given as a pretest and posttestt. Moreover, the data analysis technique used a parametric statistical analysis t-test. According to the results, it can be obtained that the tcount 19.193 higher than the result of the ttable 1.68195. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the poster as learning media in learning science is found to enhance student's learning outcomes.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with abundant natural resource wealth including oil, gas and other natural mineral materials. One of the natural mineral materials found on Mandangin Island, Sampang Regency is CaCO3. The purpose of this research is CaCO3 as a substitute for iron sand in concrete mixtures with a variety of places, namely the hamlets of the west and east coasts. To find out the quality of the concrete mixture, an XRF test and a compressive strength test were carried out and compared the CaCO3 mixture which went through the washing and unwashed processes. The results of the XRF test showed that the highest content of the mineral Calcium (Ca) was in the East Coast hamlets of 94.88% and 94.73% in the West Coast. Whereas for the compressive strength test for washed and unwashed variations the highest value was in the washed variation with the highest value level being in the east coast hamlet of 231.17 Kg/Cm2 and west of 176.78 Kg/Cm2. This is a recommendation that CaCO3 sand can be used as a concrete mixture

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulties experienced by students in solving questions on heat material with Polya’s theory. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were 28 students of class XI IPA4 SMA Negeri 4 Kota Kupang. The reseach instrument used were test questions and questionnaires. The results shown in this study, namely the difficuly of solving problems with polya’s theory, show that there are 67% of students having difficultyin in understanding the ploblems, 43% of students having difficulties in making plans, 67% of students experiencing problems in carrying out planning solutions to problems that have been solved. Made and 87% of students experienced problems in the re-checking stage.
