Abstract

ABSTRAK Perilaku konsumsi minuman beralkohol dapat mengakibatkan timbulnyabentuk kenakalan, perkelaian, geng remaja, perbuatan asusila, maraknya premanisme pada kalangan remaja, tawuran, menganggu ketertiban umum, hilangnya rasa aman, dan rusaknya tatanan sosial dalam masyarakat. Ada beberapa faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi perilaku konsumsi minuman beralkohol seperti faktor pengetahuan, sikap remaja dan lingkungan sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap, lingkungan sosial dengan perilaku konsumsi minuman beralkohol pada remaja usia 15-18 tahun di SMAN 6 Kupang. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA N 6 Kupang selama 1 bulan, dimulai dari tanggal 17 Maret -17 April2020. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 172 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Instrument yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Hasil uji statistik dengan menggunakan uji spearman rho didapatkan pengetahuan ρ value= 0,003< 0,05, sikap ρ value= 0,002 < 0,05 dan lingkungan sosial ρ value= 0,002 < 0,05 sehinggan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap dan lingkungan sosial dengan perilaku konsumsi minuman beralkohol pada remaja usia 15-18 tahun di SMA N 6 Kupang. Saran:pihak sekolah lebih meningkatkan strategi dalam pencegahan konsumsi minuman beralkohol dengan cara memberikan pendidikan kepada siswa terkait konsumsi alkohol beserta dampaknya. Kata Kunci: konsumsi alkohol, remaja, pengetahuan, sikap, lingkungan sosial.

Abstract

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND : Workers in hospital radiology installations are at risk of being exposed to ionizing radiation during work. Ionizing radiation has the potential to cause ionization in the body, so it can cause harm to workers. One of the efforts to minimize the risk of radiation exposure is to conduct regular health checks. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to identify the effects of radiation exposure, especially ionizing radiation received during work on the number of leukocytes of workers METHOD : The type of this research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. Respondents in this study were 20 workers at radiology installations in 3 hospitals in Kupang who met the inclusion criteria specified. The independent variable (X) in this study is the dose of radiation exposure in units of milisieverts (mSv), while the dependent variable (Y) is the number of workers' blood leukocytes.. RESULT : The results showed that there was a significant effect of radiation exposure on the number of leukocytes of workers in radiology installations according to the equation Y = 3.959-3.989X with p-value 0.001 and R2 = 0.455 CONCLUSION : Exposure to ionizing radiation received by workers has an impact of 45.5% on a decrease in the number of leukocytes by 0.03 , every 1 unit dose increase Keywords: Radiation exposure doses, radiology installations, leukocytes, radiation workers, ionizing radiation

Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan kasus infeksi Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) kembali terjadi di Indonesia pada awal Bulan Juli Tahun 2021. Beberapa wilayah dengan kasus penularan yang tinggi, ditetapkan pemerintah untuk melakukan Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM), salah satunya adalah di Kota Kupang, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Implementasi dari edaran Wali Kota Kupang menyebabkan beberapa masyarakat yang hanya bekerja serabutan mengalami kesulitan dalam aktifitas mencari nafkah. Selain itu juga adanya pemahaman yang keliru mengenai vaksin, sehingga sebagian besar masyarakat belum bersedia mengikuti vaksin COVID-19. Oleh karena itu sebagai upaya edukasi sekaligus bantuan bagi masyarakat, maka dilakukan bakti sosial berupa edukasi keamanan vaksin serta pembagian sembako, masker dan vitamin C di Kelurahan Lasiana, Kota Kupang. Total bantuan sebanyak 25 Paket berisi beras, telur, minyak goreng, gula, sabun cuci, masker medis, vitamin C, serta materi edukasi yang dicetak dalam bentuk brosur. Melalui kegiatan ini, masyarakat penerima bantuan merasa terbantu, dan juga memahami betul pentingnya mengikuti vaksin COVID-19. Diharapkan agar pemerintah setempat RT dan RW melakukan tindak lanjut untuk memastikan semua warga yang memenuhi kriteria penapisan dapat melakukan vaksin.Abstract: The increase in cases of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection again occurred in Indonesia in early July 2021. Several areas with high transmission cases, the government set out to implement Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), one of which was in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province. The implementation of the circular from the Mayor of Kupang has caused some people who only work odd jobs to have difficulty in earning a living. In addition, there is also a misunderstanding about vaccines, so most people are not willing to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Therefore, as an effort to educate and help the community, social services were carried out in the form of vaccine safety education and distribution of basic necessities, masks and vitamin C in Lasiana Village, Kupang City. Total of 25 packages containing rice, eggs, cooking oil, sugar, laundry soap, medical masks, vitamin C, as well as educational materials were printed in the form of brochures. Through this activity, the recipients of the aid feel helped, and also understand very well the importance of following the COVID-19 vaccine. It is hoped that the local RT and RW governments will follow up to ensure that all residents who meet the screening criteria can get the vaccine.

Abstract

Abstrak: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) adalah penyakit jenis baru yang belum pernah diidentifikasi sebelumnya pada manusia dan menyebabkan gangguan pada saluran pernapasan manusia. Pasar menjadi salah satu tempat yang berpotensial terjadinya penularan COVID-19. Sudah banyak kasus penularan COVID-19 yang terjadi di dalam pasar yang ada di Indonesia Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk mengedukasi para pedagang untuk melakukan upaya pencegahan COVID-19. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah pembagian masker dan vitamin C serta edukasi tentang pencegahan COVID-19 kepada para pedagang yang berjualan di pasar Oesao. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada hari sabtu tanggal 09 Mei 2020 pukul 10.00-12.00 WITA. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di pasar Oesao-Kabupaten Kupang. Total masker dan vitamin yang dibagikan sebanyak 450 paket. Kegiatan pengabdian dapat berjalan dengan baik. Pihak pengelola dan kepolisian setempat mendukung kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan. Para pedagang mulai sadar dan memakai masker setelah kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan walaupun belum semua pedagang menjadi sadar. Komunikasi, Edukasi dan Informasi (KIE) perlu secara berkala diberikan kepada para pedagang karena kesadaran pedagang untuk mematuhi protokol Kesehatan cukup rendah.Abstract: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) was a new type of disease that has never been previously identified in humans and causes human respiratory tract disorders. The market was one of the potential places for the transmission of COVID-19. There have been many cases of COVID-19 transmission that have occurred in markets in Indonesia. Community service aims to educated traders to make efforts to prevent COVID-19. The service method carried out was the distribution of masks and vitamin C and education about the prevention of COVID-19 to traders selling in the Oesao market. This community service activity was held on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 10.00-12.00 WITA. This service activity was carried out in the Oesao market, Kupang Regency. The total masks and vitamins distributed were 450 packages. Community service activities can go well. The management and local police support the service activities carried out. The traders began to realize and wear masks after this service activity, even though not all traders become aware. Communication, Education, and Information (IEC) need to be periodically provided to traders because the traders' awareness to comply with Health protocols is quite low.

Abstract

Cataract is an eye disorder that is at risk of causing blindness. The risk of blindness can be prevented by detecting cataracts as well as the right action in the form of surgery. Examination of cataracts in the eye poly usually uses equipment in the form of a slit lamp. This equipment is only available in hospitals that have eye poly. The lack of hospitals that have slit lamps will cause the number of cataract sufferers to increase. To be able to help overcome this we need a cataract detection system that is easy to implement. In this research, a classification system based on digital image based on the range of histogram values ​​was made. The equipment used to obtain digital images is the Nikon D90 12.3 Megapixel camera with Nikon 50 mm F1.8 AFD lens. The results obtained indicate that the range values ​​for normal eyes are 29–46, immature eyes 54 - 67 and mature eyes 91 - 121. It appears that mature eyes have the highest range. It is hoped that this method can help detect and classify cataracts based on digital image processing.

Abstract

Faloak (Stercullia quadrifida R. Br) merupakan tumbuhan yang pada ekstrak kulit batangnya (klika) terkandung senyawa bioaktif yaitu alkaloid, fenol, fenolik dan terpenoid. Kandungan senyawa bioaktif yang terkandung pada ekstrak klika faloak bermanfaat sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas ekstrak klika faloak khususnya senyawa flavonoid sebagai chelator bagi radikal FeS pada organ hati ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) yang tercemar logam berat timbale (Pb). Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak klika faloak mampu menurunkan kandungan radikal FeS pada organ hati ikan nila akibat pencemaran logam Pb dengan korelasi sebesar 97%. Konsentrasi ekstrak klika faloak yang paling efektif sebagai chelator bagi radikal FeS pada organ hati ikan nila adalah 4 mg/mL atau 4000 ppm.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hypertension or high blood pressure is the cause of death and high illness. Hypertension as a chronic disease is influenced by several factors. The risk factors for hypertension are divided into non-modifiable risk factors and modifiable risk factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between genetic factors and the incidence of hypertension in the young adult age group (19-49 years) at Bakunase Health Center, Kupang City. This research is a quantitative study with a correlational design and cross sectional approach. The sample size was 116 people with purposive sampling technique. The results of the study using the Spearman rho statistical test showed that there was a relationship between genetic factors (p Value = 0.000) and the incidence of hypertension in young adults (19-49 years) at Bakunase Health Center, Kupang City.

Abstract

Abstract. PhET simulation is a platform that can be used as a learning medium to make learning more interesting. The material presented in PhET simulation is in the form of an interesting animation so that it is expected to be able to increase student motivation. This study aims to determine differences in students' motivation to learn physics before and after being taught using PhET simulation media. The research object was class IXB students who were randomly selected as the experimental group. The instruments used were class IX learning devices, PhET simulation media, discussion questions, assignment questions, and student learning motivation questionnaires. Based on statistical analysis, it is known that students' motivation to learn science after being taught using PhET simulation media is higher than before. Thus learning science on dynamic electricity material using PhET simulation media is effective for increasing the learning motivation of class IX students of Satap Oeusapi Public Middle School, West Amanuban District, South Central Timor Regency. Abstrak. Simulasi PhET merupakan salah satu platform yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik. Materi yang disajikan pada phet simulation dalam bentuk animasi yang menarik sehingga diharapkan mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar fisika siswa sebelum dan setelah diajar menggunakan media simulasi PhET. Obyek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas IXB yang terpilih secara acak sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah perangkat pembelajaran kelas IX, media simulasi PhET, soal diskusi, soal tugas, serta angket motivasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan analisis statistik diketahui bahwa motivasi belajar IPA siswa setelah diajar menggunakan media simulasi PhET lebih tinggi dibanding sebelumnya. Dengan demikian pembelajaran IPA pada materi listrik dinamis menggunakan media simulasi PhET efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri Satap Oeusapi Kecamatan Amanuban Barat, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMata adalah organ penglihatan yang sangat penting bagi manusia. Mataterdiri dari sistem optik kompleks yang mengumpulkan cahaya dari sekitarnya.Ganguan mata yang dapat menyebabkan kebutaan salah satunya adalah katarak.Data dari Riset Kesehtan Dasar Kementrian Kesehtan Republik Indonesiamelaporkan prevalensi katarak di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur adalah 2,3%. Tigaalasan utama penderita katarak adalah karena ketidaktahuan (41,4%),ketidakmampuan (14,1%), dan ketidakberanian (5,7%). Hal ini berarti bahwakebutaan akibat katarak di NTT cukup tinggi karena banyak penderita katarak tidakmengetahui dirinya mempunyai penyaki katarak. Pemeriksaan katarak di rumahsakit menggunakan alat slit lamp, namun alat ini hanya terdapat pada rumah sakityang memiliki poli mata. Oleh karenanya diperlukan sistem deteksi katarak yangdapat membantu mendeteksi katarak sehingga dapat dialkukan tindakan dengantepat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu merancang sistem deteksi katarak berdasarkannilai statistik tekstur (Gray Level Co-Occurrance Matrix) dengan klasifikasi jarakMinkowski. Abstract

The Physics Education study program, Nusa Cendana University, already has a web-based study program information system but it has not been managed optimally, as evidenced by the limited availability of study program data on the web. This study aims to identify the data needed to be developed into useful information, not only for the academic community of the Physics Education undergraduate study program, Nusa Cendana University, but for society in general. The method used is to carry out an issue analysis based on APKL and USG techniques. The results of the identification of issues were then consulted with stakeholders, in this case the dean of the Teaching and Education Faculty, and the coordinator of the Physics Education Study Program. The data obtained is then made into a graphic design or linked to a menu available on the web, so that it becomes useful information.
