Journal of Tourism Studies (Jurnal Kepariwisataan/JPAR) is aimed to spread critical analysis from researchers and academic practitioners on various travel and tourism issues local, national and internationally. Abstract

Since the end of 2019 the world has been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic which has led to changes in life including the world of tourism more specifically in the MICE sector and events. MICE and Event sectors adapt to these changes, one of them is by holding virtual events. Virtual events during the pandemic developed from webinars, conferences, to performances. A virtual event is something new and needs to be analyzed in-depth, in this study virtual events are analyzed from the perspective of the market. By using survey research methods, by distributing online questionnaires to 100 people, it was found that virtual events still have the opportunity to continue to be produced in the future with the high interest of the community to participate in virtual event activities even though there are various obstacles in their implementation such as duration that is too long, monotonous, and improper broadcast time

Abstract

The study aims to identify community attitudes in the development of tourism villages and to analyze the forms of community involvement in packaging the Catur Tourism Village products. Theories and concepts used were the tourism area life cycle, index theory (irritation index), concept of community-based tourism (CBT), concept of tourism products, and concept of tourism village 4.0. The research used a qualitative research approach using descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed most forms of community involvement in packaging Catur Tourism Village products exist at the implementation stage, then planning and decision-making. Even though most of the people involved in packaging Catur Tourism Village products, the number of people who was not involved was still quite high. This is where the role of the tourism village manager is needed to be able to bridge the aspirations of people who want to be involved in the development of the Catur Tourism Village. Catur Village local government should be able to formulate community engagement strategies so that the community can be optimally involved in packaging Catur Tourism Village products.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is indispensable for economic growth in Indonesia because entrepreneurship contains aspects of innovation, new ideas, creativity, and job creation. The purpose of this study was to determine how the entrepreneurial intentions of youth in the Jatiluwih Tourism Village, Tabanan Regency, Bali. The variables in this study are also expected to help identify and explain the factors that are considered in entrepreneurial intentions so that they are expected to help reduce unemployment in Tabanan Regency, Bali. The results of this research data analysis found that the variables of need for achievement, family support, and self-efficacy partially had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

The financial report is one of the absolute components that must be owned by small and medium enterprises if they want to propose capital to creditors, in this case, the banking sector. In addition to financing, financial reports can certainly provide useful financial information for effective planning and evaluation of company performance. The purpose of this research is to find out how the application of accounting by small-scale businesses in the tourism sector in Ubud and the obstacles faced in applying accounting. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative where this analysis technique is used to describe the research data. The data collection method uses observation, interview, and documentation study techniques. Most of the respondents, namely 77% have separated personal and business finances, this reflects professionalism in the management of company finances. Respondents in this study who had made financial reports were 77% even though most respondents only made income statements. Overall, most of the respondents have implemented simple accounting practices in their businesses, but they still lack awareness in increasing their knowledge in accounting through accounting training / seminars.

Abstract

The research in general aimed at studying or analyzing English language attitude of tourism conciousness community “Warisan Pusaka” in providing services to the guests at Tourism village of Munggu Mengwi, Badung, Bali. Specifically the research aimed at revealing and analyzing the English language attitudes, which are: positive, negative and neutral language attitudes of the tourism conciousness community of “Warisan Pusaka” at Munggu Tourism Village, Mengwi, Badung, Bali. The primary research data are directly collected from the research informant during the interview procesess and also from the research questionnaires. The informant were selected using purposive, snowball and abundant sampling techniques with the total numbers of 30 samples are analysed. The research revealed that 0,88% of the informan showed positive language attitude, from the genders points of view the number of 0,76% and 0,25% showed positive language attitude. Based on the profession 0,25% of the informan showed positive attitude.

Abstract

Salacca wine Baliwein is produced in a large quantity, but not many local people or foreign tourists know about this wine. Based on this condition, it is considered necessary to conduct a more in-depth study of the consumer perception of salacca wine so the result of this study can contribute to the development of this product. The objective of this research was to determine the perception of consumer toward Salacca Wine Baliwien. The research question to this study is how is the perception of the consumer toward Salacca Wine Baliwein. This Study uses 50 respondents from the customer who tasted the wine before. This Study Uses 6 indicators (sweetness, fruity flavor, acidity, tannin, alcohol, length or finish). The analysis used in this study is quantitative method. The analysis show that the consumer’s perception toward Salacca Wine Baliwein is 3,41 with good category. The highest index of perception is indicator acidity and length or finish (4,37 with good category) and the lowest index is indicator sweetness (1.04 with not very good category).

Abstract

Ideally, community empowerment programs in rural areas should not be implemented once in a while. This is very important to maintain the aspect of sustainability and achieve the goals maximally. People in rural areas are the target of empowerment programs considering the many problems that exist there. Statistical data shows that the distribution of the majority of the national poor is in rural areas. One method of reducing poverty is through the development of tourist villages. The purpose of the tourism village assistances are to increase the understanding and skills of the community in Bejijong Tourism Village, especially in the field of homestay management and online marketing of citizen handicraft products. The stages in this empowerment program through three methods, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The research method used is qualitative with data collection methods through observation, interviews, focus group discussions, and filling out questionnaires. The results of this activity indicate that the understanding and competence of citizens has increased for the better. The results of this activity were measured using a questionnaire (pre-test and post-test) and calculated using a Likert scale.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions of tourists towards Nusa Lembongan as a destination and the management of tourists in Nusa Lembongan. The determination of the sample in this study was to obtain data on the characteristics of tourists visiting Nusa Lembongan with 103 respondents using qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the study are tourists’ perceptions of Nusa Lembongan from indicators of awareness 58.43% (agree), attractiveness 65.2% (agree), availability 63.08% (agree), accessibility 62.95% (agree), destination appreciation (66.3%), assurance 58.2%, activity 45.6%, appearance 58.3% (agree).
