Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematics learning outcomes through online learning for the 2019/2020 academic year on the subject of flat-sided space geometry. This descriptive study was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Paguyaman involving 28 students of class VIII as a sample selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study were tests in the form of multiple-choice questions and student response questionnaires. The results of the research that refer to the cognitive domain of the revised Bloom taxonomy by Anderson and Krathwohl show that the C1 cognitive domain is remembering, the ability of students to remember, recognize or know a concept of the material being asked in the questions given an average of 77.36% is in a good category. C2 cognitive domain is understanding; students' ability to understand the material on average 35.75% is in the poor category. C3 cognitive realm applies, on this indicator, students' ability to apply the formula to the questions given an average of 17.85% is in the poor category. C4 cognitive domain analyzes students' ability to analyze the average question is 39.70% who are in the poor category. With the average percentage of all cognitive domains, namely 45.71%, students' mathematics learning outcomes through online learning on the subject of flat-side space geometry is still in the low category, and learning using Facebook Messenger has not provided maximum results.

Abstract

This study aims to model the factors that affect the financial performance of Bank Muammalat, including Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Earning Asset Quality (KAP), Operational Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) to Return on Assets. (ROA) This research uses secondary data taken based on time series. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression using SPSS software version 20 and Microsoft Office Excel 2010. The results of this study indicate that partially the CAR and KAP partially do not have a significant effect on Return On. Assets, while Operational Expenses to BOPO and FDR partially have a significant effect on Return on Assets. Simultaneously, these four variables have a significant effect on Return on Assets at PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia. Based on the results of the Determination Coefficient test, the value of Adjusted R Square (R2) is 99.00%, this means that the amount of Return on Assets can be influenced and explained by the variables CAR, KAP, BOPO, and FDR, while the remaining 1% is explained by variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Coronary heart disease (CHD) is caused by various reasons. One of the main causes of coronary heart disease is cholesterol. Cholesterol comes from two sources, namely, that which is produced by the liver and through the food consumed. This article discusses the mathematical model of coronary heart disease which refers to the SEI (Susceptible-exposed-infected) model, with modifications in the form of the addition of the recovered (R) variable and parameters in the form of a healthy lifestyle and surgery. Hereinafter this model is called the SEIR (Susceptible-Exposed-Infected-Recovered) model. This study aims to determine the problem of coronary heart disease in cholesterol sufferers and to analyze the effect of operating parameters and a healthy lifestyle on the patient's healing (R) is higher than the opportunity value of the other groups. And the opportunity value of an infected individual is much lower than that of other groups. This shows that the chances of recovery for people with coronary heart disease with a high operating route.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang model SIUC pada kasus Kanker Serviks dengan mempertimbangkan vaksinasi. Adapun analisis yang dilakukan yaitu secara analitik dan numerik. Analisis secara analitik meliputi penentuan titik tetap bebas penyakit dan titik tetap endemik beserta sifat stabilitasnya. Selanjutnya dilakukan simulasi numerik untuk menguji hasil analitiknya. Dari hasil smulasi numerik diperoleh grafik yang menunjukkan bahwa solusi dari sistem yang bersifat stabil, dan dapat ditunjukkan bahwa vaksinasi pada kanker serviks memiliki dampak yang baik.

Abstract

Integral can be used to determine several quantities, one of them is to determine the length of a curve in the plane. It can be applied to prove the circumference formula of a circle. This research aims to explain how to prove the circumference formula of a circle using a single integral expressed in both cartesian and polar coordinates. The method used in this research is a study of literature. The result of this research shows that proving the circumference of a circle can be done by determining the implicit derivative of the circle equation. Then, the circle equation and its implicit derivative are substituted into the integral formula for determining the length of the curve in both cartesian and polar coordinates so that the circumference formula of a circle is obtained.

Abstract

This article discusses the dynamics of the spread of measles with the effect of giving and adding immunization. To analyze the results, a fixed point was determined to be disease-free and endemic. The analysis was carried out by considering the basic reproduction number (R0). In the analysis of the results obtained conditions R01 which indicates that the spread of measles can be prevented. By practicing and adding immunizations, the value of the numerals will be smaller, which indicates the reduction in the population.

Abstract

This article examines a competing prey-predator model using the Monod-Haldane response function and anti-predator behavior. This article discusses equilibrium point determination, equilibrium point stability analysis, and numerical simulation. Obtained three equilibrium points, namely T1, T2, and T3, where the equilibrium-point is always saddle, the stability of the equilibrium points T2 and T3 will be stable if it meets the predetermined parameter requirements. There are two cases in the equilibrium point where the first case is vertically stable and the second case is spiral stable.

Abstract

Math phobias are anxiety on math skills that happen to most learners. Anxiety is demonstrated by the existence of continuous fear against the object of mathematics and its learning situation. To avoid this, the facilitator must create a situation that allows the learners to build their confidence in math tasks. Math is characterized by abstract ideas in the form of abstract symbols that require delivery within a less abstract language to avoid understanding the idea. A positive attitude towards mathematics appears closely related to the previous experience in both the mathematical object and the classroom situation. Therefore, developing a positive attitude against math phobia requires the content to be delivered in an attractive manner in every learning process. The presentation of mathematical formulas should be adjusted according to the learning basic ability and sometimes accompanied by an inductive approach. As the facilitator of learning, the teacher must seek a learning environment that can encourage learners to behave positively and passionately in learning mathematics.

Abstract

In this paper, the numerical results of mixed convection flow over a flat plate with the imposed heat and different angles of inclination are established by applying the finite difference method of Crank-Nicolson. We further compare these numerical results with the case of non-mixed convection flow.  The velocity and temperature profiles are decreased when the different values of the Prandtl number (Pr) are increased. Meanwhile, the velocity profiles are increased, when the different values of angle of inclination (alfa) and mixed convection parameter (lambda) are increased. The mixed convection flow case (lambda=1.5) is affected by the external force, so the velocity of convection flow is higher than the non-mixed case (lambda=0).

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing to what extent students' ability to relate mathematical objects to problems number patterns. The method used in this research is a quantitative description. The data collection techniques used are tests and interviews. The data analysis technique uses model miles and hiberman, namely by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that students' ability to relate mathematical objects to pattern problems numbers is not maximized. This is indicated by the percentage of achievements an indicator of the ability to associate mathematical objects that only reached an average of 55.26% consisting of 48.44% fact indicators, concept 45.50%, principle 63.80%, and operation 63.33%.
