J-Sil (Jurnal Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan or Journal of Civil and Environmental Engineering) was established in 2016 and managed by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, IPB University (Bogor Agricultural University). The journal aims at disseminating original and quality academic papers that deemed potential to contribute to the advancement of science and technology in the field of civil and environmental engineering to support sustainable developments. Abstract

Groundwater needs will increase in accordance to area development. Groundwater has a limited quantity because it depends on the geometry and distribution of aquifer. The purpose of this study were to identify soil lithology and aquifer thickness, to determine soil hydraulic conductivity values and to predict potential groundwater reserves in Dramaga District . The processed data were data geoelectric with Schlumberger configuration, hydrogeological maps, and geological maps of Bogor. Aquifer thickness were obtained from the average yield of the aquifer thickness at the research location. Thickness of unconfined aquifer was 14,69 m and 17,77 m for confined aquifer. Aquifer had lithological layers of andesite, tuffaceous, sandstone, clay, and sand. The value of hydraulic conductivity was 2,5 m / day for unconfined aquifer and 2,04 m / day for confined aquifer. Using the Darcy equation groundwater reserves were estimated 241,29 m3 / day or 2,79 l / s for unconfined aquifers and 1291,19 m3 / day or 14,94 l / s for confined aquifers.Key words: aquifer, Darcy equation,  geoelectric, groundwater reserves

Abstract

Abstract : Increasing of population in a region is directly proportional to its development. Large number of populations resulted in the wider construction of residential areas. Construction of residential areas requires a clean water supply to fulfill households water demand. The purpose of this research were to analyze the domestic water demand and water availability in Bogor City, and to analyze the suitability between the domestic water supply and demand in Bogor City. The research was done from February to May 2018. This research needed data of population, hydrogeological map and annual river discharge. The correlation between population to domestic water demand using regression method was showed with equation Y = 19549X + 801520.   In 20 years ahead domestic water demand will 80,328,688.57 m3 and total water demand will 125,312,754.2 m3, while total surface water availability will 174,078,720 m3/year. Domestic water availability in Bogor would decrease and would make clean water shortage after 2049 when population reached 1,720,323 persons. Keyword : domestic, surface water, water demand, water supply.

Abstract

Flood was a problem that often occurs in the big cities of Indonesia. High rainfall, increasing population and unappropriate urban drainage system were the factors that cause the flood problems. The purpose of the research were to identify the condition of the existing drainage channels and to analyze the amount of runoff and comparing the run off to drainage channels in Pemuda Street. The analysis was carried out with simulations using EPA SWMM 5.1. Based on field observations, the drainage system in Pemuda Street was quite good with a rectangular cross section and were constructed using concrete. Based on the simulation results, the peak discharge runoff were around 0.017 - 2.119 m3/s, and water flow in channels C5, C40, and C49 almost meet the channel capacity with a discharge of 1.49 m3/s, 0.46 m3/s, and 0.23 m3/s respectively and would be potential to become flood. To reduce the flooding potential at Pemuda Street, dimension changes were needed on C5 and C49 channels with the final dimensions of 1.02 m x 0.77 m and 0.5 m x 0.59 m. But, because of the C5 dimension was changed, so waterflow in C40 were appropriate with channel capacity and would not need dimension change.Key words: drainage, EPA SWMM 5.1, rainfall, runoff

Abstract

Signaled intersection of Pahlawan steet and Raden Saleh Sarif Bustaman street is one of the main streets in Bogor. This intersection has 3-arm approaches namely Pahlawan Street at East, Raden Saleh Sarif Bustaman Street at North, and Empang Street at West. Highest traffic on weekend is 11653 units/hour or 5087 SMP/hour which occur between 5.20-7.20 pm. Pahlawan - Raden Saleh Sarif Bustaman street obtained inconsistent time cycle of APILL and size of approach dimension which resulted in intersection with high saturated degree. The saturation degree of the intersection of the eastern approaches was 0.75 which meant that this value was same with the standard value in MKJI 1997 which is 0.75. This meant that the performance of intersection capacity was already saturated. The high saturation degree of the intersection resulted in a low level of service level and was classified as, service level E with the intersection delay 45 seconds/SMP. Scenario II is the best alternative scenario for intersections, with the addition of road or lane widening, so the intersection capacity of the eastern, northern and western approaches were 3931, 5066 and 4562 SMP/hour respectively. The average intersection delay became to 9 seconds / SMP, and classified as service level B.Key words: capacity, intersection, intersection delay, service level

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago with a high risk of earthquakes. Traditional houses in Indonesia are very varied, distinctive, and made of wood. Rumah gadang is one of the traditional houses and located in Minangkabau, West Sumatra. Rumah gadang in various regions are threatened due to natural disasters. The purpose of this research were design and analyze rumah gadang structures againts the durability on earthquake. The analysis used software SAP2000 v14 and Microsoft Excel. The main material was pheasant wood or senna siamea with density 800 kg/m3 and the modulus of elasticity 11000 MPa. Based on the calculation of maximum internal force, the combination of load and resistance factor design (LRFD) was greater than the combination of allowable stress design (ASD). The actual pressure was smaller than the ultimate pressure so structure was fulfill the strength standard. Buckling didn't occur when the ultimate pressure work. Maximum flex occur on the roof was 1.08 cm due to the hight of roof cross-section is smaller than the width off cross-section. Keywords: ASD, earthquake, LRFD, rumah gadang

Abstract

Bogor is a city with a high rainfall. Bogor has the average monthly rainfall of 267.3 mm with an average of 16 days of rain per month. This research purpose are to identify the condition of the existing drainage channels and to analyze the magnitude of runoff discharge compliance with existing drainage channels capacity. This research was conducted from May to August 2017 in Dramaga Cantik 2, Bogor, West Java, were analyzed using EPA SWMM 5.1. Based on the rainfall data processing of Dramaga area, Bogor, this research used distribution method of Log Pearson III. The result showed that maximum rainfall was 129.722 mm. The result of EPA SWMM 5.1. simulation showed that drainage channel capacity could accommodate the runoff, but channel C24 was overflow. It was suggested to improved channel width to 0.42 m with cost of Rp 2,368,393.00.Keyword: drainage channel capacity, EPA SWMM 5.1, rainfall, runoff

Abstract

Perubahan tata guna lahan dapat mempengaruhi suplai air suatu area. Kapasitas simpan air adalah salah satu aspek dalam studi neraca air yang menunjukkan ketersediaan air. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghitung potensi suplai air dan menganalisis kapasitas simpan air di Kecamatan Cibinong. Penelitian ini berlangsung sejak April-Juli 2017. Data yang digunakan antara lain data iklim, kepadatan penduduk, dan peta tata guna lahan. Perhitungan dilakukan dengan metode Penman-Monteith menggunakan software CROPWAT. Analisis peta tata guna lahan Kecamatan Cibinong menunjukkan terjadi penurunan kapasitas simpan air di Kecamatan Cibinong, dari 70.01 mm menjadi 64.54 mm sejak tahun 2013 hingga 2015. Rasio supply/demand sebesar 0.14 menunjukkan daya dukung lingkungan berbasis neraca air (DDL-air) terlampaui (overshoot). Peningkatan DDL-air dapat dilakukan dengan pembangunan sumur resapan dan perluasan RTH. Kata Kunci: evapotranspirasi, kapasitas simpan air, tata guna lahan

Abstract

Kegiatan sehari - hari manusia saat ini tidak dapat terlepas dari mobilisasi. Jalan adalah sarana transportasi darat yang paling banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat untuk melakukan mobilitas keseharian, sehingga volume kendaraan yang melewati ruas jalan ini harus bisa didukung oleh perkerasan jalan pada ruas jalan yang dilewatinya. Perkerasan jalan dalam kondisi baik akan membuat arus lalu - lintas lancar. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka perlu adanya penelitian tentang kekuatan dari perkerasan jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung kekuatan dari jalan tol Bogor - Ciawi - Sukabumi dan membandingkannya dengan jalan lain. Analisis dilakukan dengan mengacu pada peraturan AASHTO 1993 dan SNI Pd T-14-2003 tentang perencanaan perkerasan jalan beton semen. Berdasarkan perhitungan, didapat kekuatan Jalan Tol Bogor - Ciawi - Sukabumi sebesar 62.525.083 ESAL. Dengan demikian Jalan tol Bogor - Ciawi - Sukabumi direncanakan untuk menahan beban gandar kumulatif 510.204.680 ton selama 20 tahun umur rencana. Mengacu pada SNI Pd T-14-2003 Jalan Tol Bogor - Ciawi - Sukabumi sudah sesuai untuk dibuat dengan perkerasan kaku. Kekuatan Jalan Tol Bogor - Ciawi – Sukabumi  lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan Jalan Tol Jakarta – Cikampek.Kata kunci: AASHTO 1993, jalan tol, perkerasan kaku, tebal perkerasan

Abstract

Leuwiliang Ring Road had curve, slop and road equipment like signs, markers and street lighting that uncomfortable for drivers. The purpose of this research was to evaluate road geometric based on RSNI T-14-2004 and guidelines no. 038/TBM/1997 and road equipment based on guidelines no. 01/P/BNKT/1991 and SNI 7391: 2008 on Jalan Lingkar Leuwiliang. The results showed that design of geometry and equipment of this road did not conform to Standard. The speed limit used was 50 km/h. The free side area on the 4th curve was of 3 m less than Standard (3.04 m). Slopes of the road were more than 9% on segment 2 (14.21%), 4 (10.94%), 13 (9.01%), 14 (9.19%), 26 (9.20%), 27 (9.20%), 28 (9.49%), 29 (12.15%) and 30 (19.36%). There were no markers on this road then longitudinal line mark was designed on the road side. Dotted line marks were designed at Sta 0+000 to Sta 0+200 and longitudinal line mark were designed at Sta 0+200 to Sta 0+974.5 on the road divider. There were no street lighting on the 7th pole to the 22nd pole so the street lighting were designed on that poles using the lamp type SON 100W patch to the pole with height of 6 m from the road surface.Keywords : free side area, lamp, road, road markings, slope.

Abstract

The road growth relatively smaller than traffic volume growth caused decreasing of the road service level. The purpose of the research were indentified performance existing geometry condition and traffic condition of Jalan Raya Sawangan as well as to formulate program to resolve traffic jam. Existing condition performance of Jalan Raya Sawangan on segment 1 as well as 2 were classified as F and E whereas the non-signal intersection performance of the road was F. The geometry improvement was chosed to resolve traffic jam so the service level for the next 15 years could be calassified as D. Improvement of intersection performance was conducted by changing non-signal intersection becomed signal and changing the signal intersection becomed interchange. Signal intersection was only able to receive traffic load for 10 years thus re-upgrading was required to match with the planned target by changing the intersection to interchange. Service level of interchange obtained level A because suitable with the requirement. Keywords: geometry condition, service level, traffic growth, traffic jam
