Abstract

One of the Shipbuilding Industries in Surabaya has a building as the management office of the company. Office activities can generate CO2 emissions due to the equipment that uses electricity to support activities such as lighting, air conditioning systems, and other electronic devices. The amount of electrical energy used affects the amount of carbon emissions produced because activities using energy will generate carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The aim of this research is to analyze the secondary carbon footprint generated during office activities in the Shipbuilding Industry, considering the use of electrical equipment in daily activities. This research uses a quantitative method through a carbon footprint analysis approach as a method to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the activities conducted. The research results show that the total CO2 emissions generated from the office activities in the Management Building are 237456,8064 KgCO2/year. The lowest CO2 emissions are from the 3rd floor, amounting to 23352.7219 KgCO2/year, while the highest emissions are from the 2nd floor, totaling 70912.0896 KgCO2/year. Efforts that can be made to reduce carbon emissions include implementing green computing, reducing air conditioning usage, maximizing sunlight, and conducting socialization and education for employees to save electricity.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry produces hazardous and toxic waste (B3 waste) including used lubricating oil, used batteries, used rags, sludge from production processes, electronic waste, and used B3 packaging that are considered to have no economic value and have an impact on the environment. B3 waste management in the Manufacturing Industry covers a series of management activities starting from storage and packaging and transportation by third parties. This study aims to identify and evaluate B3 waste management activities in the Manufacturing Industry by providing an assessment of B3 waste management practices based on the applicable B3 waste management regulations. The method used in the assessment of B3 waste using the Guttman Scale. The results of the evaluation of B3 waste management show that the aspects of attaching symbols and labels and the aspects of document completeness have 100% compliance. The aspect of B3 waste storage has 88% compliance. The aspect of B3 waste packaging and packaging has 87.5% compliance. The average percentage is 94% and categorized as “Very Good”. However, there are some aspects that are evaluated such as fire safety, floor conditions, and labeling of waste containers.

Abstract

Sri Pengantin Hamlet is a hamlet nicknamed "Bamboo Village" by the South Sumatra Provincial Government. Apart from that, another abundant potential in this hamlet is coconut plants. Access to this hamlet can only be reached via water for 45 minutes - 1 hour using a means of transportation called "ketek". Apart from the difficulty of access, the unavailability of electricity and signals means that the lives of the people in this hamlet are still lagging behind compared to other hamlets in the same sub-district. Apart from living, the economy in this hamlet is still quite low with livelihoods only relying on coffee plantations. In fact, the abundance of coconuts should be able to increase the economic income of the people in the village. Therefore, one of the activities carried out is holding training on processing coconut into virgin coconut oil (VCO). The results of the research show that there has been an increase in community skills in processing coconut into VCO from 39 to 92.35% with the proposed business management in the form of storing the VCO produced so that it can be resold so that it can help the community's economy. It is concluded that the abundant natural potential can be processed into valuable products with creativity.

Abstract

Early childhood, the golden age of growth and development for children, is a very critical period in the stage of human development. Since 2003, the government has issued Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the national education system, including the PAUD education system (early childhood education). According to the Ministry of Education and Culture, in the 2020–2021 school year, 6,346,193 early childhood education students in Indonesia were members of private and public educational institutions. According to early childhood education statistics, more classrooms are lightly damaged than good. The learning process in early childhood education institutions takes place actively and involves children who are at the most active and energetic stage, so they need ergonomic learning facilities whose size is determined by the child's body size and which are comfortable and safe. The ergonomic design of this learning facility also aims to maintain bone health and early childhood posture because it is still vulnerable and easy to change. After all, it is still in its infancy. Evaluation of school benches, measurement of children's anthropometric data, and education on the importance of using ergonomic school equipment have been carried out in one of the PAUD/TK locations in the Koto Tangah sub-district. The results obtained by the school bench used are quite ergonomic when compared to the anthropometric size of students at the school.

Abstract

A twin pregnancy or multiple pregnancy is a pregnancy with two or more fetuses. Multiple pregnancies can be multiple pregnancies or gemelli (2 fetuses), triplet (3 fetuses), quarrulet (4 fetuses), quintuplet (5 fetuses) and so on. Multiple pregnancies occur if two or more ova are released and fertilized (dizygotic) or if one fertilized ovum divides early to form two embryos (monozygotic). A twin pregnancy is one pregnancy with two or more fetuses. The increase in the number of twin births is mainly due to the increasing use of assisted reproductive techniques, including in vitro fertilization (IVF). Pregnancy and childbirth carry risks for the fetus. The danger to the mother is not so great, but women with multiple pregnancies require special supervision and attention when a satisfactory outcome is desired for both mother and fetus. The more the number of fetuses conceived by the mother, the higher the risk that will be borne by the mother. Therefore, the authors would like to present a case regarding the management of perabdominam delivery in pregnancies of patients G1P0A0H0 preterm gravid 33-34 weeks + PEB.
