Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze efforts to develop inventive thinking skills through science learning in elementary school students. This research is classified as library research. Data comes from literature related to inventive thinking abilities, science learning and elementary school students. After the data is collected and sorted, analysis techniques are carried out using content analysis techniques. The results of the research state that inventive thinking abilities can be developed in science learning by applying varied learning, open questions, applying independent learning and contextual and student-centered science learning. The teacher's role is as a learning designer, motivator and evaluator.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the teachings that shape character and environmental awareness in Hindu religious teachings. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research results reveal that Hindu education provides a solid foundation for people to understand and absorb the teachings of Hinduism in depth. This includes understanding philosophical concepts such as karma (the law of cause and effect), dharma (moral obligation), and moksha (spiritual liberation), as well as various other teachings that help people find the path to perfection. In addition, Hindu religious education encourages spiritual practices such as worship, meditation, and maintaining balance between body, soul, and mind. It helps people grow in positive traits such as patience, wisdom, and inner calm, which are important components of character development. Hindu religious education is very important to instill a sense of love and appreciation in children. Classical Hindu books provide important lessons about the relationship between humans and the universe. Thus, Hindu religious education can be an important pillar in forming a young generation who is ethical, virtuous and cares about the environment. However, to ensure that Hindu religious education is effective in facing the challenges of the times and has a greater positive impact on society as a whole, comprehensive improvement and improvement efforts are needed.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how to apply the Jigsaw Type Cooperative learning model in increasing student activity in elementary school mathematics learning. The research method used is a classroom action research method that uses the development model by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subjects of this research were 32 class VI students at SD Negeri 207/IV Jambi City. Data was collected using observation techniques, questionnaires and written tests. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research prove that the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model can increase the learning activity of class VI students in the mathematics subject of plane figures. The average results of observing students' learning activity in cycle I was 87.52%, in cycle II it increased to 90.00%, the results of the student learning activity questionnaire obtained an average in cycle I of 60.55% and in cycle II it increased to 89.31%.

Abstract

The global issue appears on the students' problem, especially in remedial learning.The purposes of this study are: (1) to describe the activities of lecturers in classroom management and remedial activities, (2) to describe the activities of students in peer-tutor learning method, (3) to describe students' learning mastery after having remedial activity with the peer-tutor method. The type of this research is action research, consisting of planning, action and observation, reflection, and revision. The action was given in three rounds in the classroom (Classroom Action Research). This research was conducted in STKIP PGRI Jombang, Economic Education Study Program. This research was conducted from August to September 2022. The subject of this research is 44 students of STKIP PGRI Jombang. The object of this study is Break-Even Point (BEP) material. Findings show that the average skill of the lecturer in managing the class and remedial activity in 3 rounds of Classroom Action Research is 3.29% which indicates that the lecturer has succeeded in improving students' achievement.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools as Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia are a forum for developing the character of Santri. However, the challenge of achieving optimal character formation requires a comprehensive and planned strategy. The aim of this article is to find empirical evidence and analyze how nidzomul ma'had and punishment influence the formation of Pancasila character in students. The research method applied was a quantitative approach, which involved taking samples from the entire population of students at the Darul Lughah Wal Karomah 2 Islamic Boarding School, which consisted of 34 students. Data collection was carried out through the use of questionnaires, and data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of the analysis show that the formation of the Pancasila character in the female students of Darul Lughah Wal Karomah 2 Islamic Boarding School is strongly influenced by nidzomul ma'had and punishment which is supported by an R-Square value of 0.577.

Abstract

Aim for know ability representation mathematical in finish questions on the material system linear equations of two variables (SPLDV) are reviewed of student self-efficacy class VIII SMPN 1 Praya Timur. As for Sujek in study This consists of 3 of 28 students class VIII which has categories of high self-efficacy, medium self-efficacy and low self-efficacy. Types of research This is study qualitative descriptive. Instruments used​ in study This is questionnaire, question test ability representation mathematics and guidelines interview. Procedure data collection used in study This that is documentation and interviews. Data analysis techniques were carried out with method reducing data, presenting data, and interesting conclusion. Checking validity of the data used triangulation technique. Research result show that ability representation mathematical student class VIII SMPN 1 Praya Timur is divided into 3 (three) categories, namely student with high self-efficacy category capable shows 3 aspects ability representation mathematical that is visual representation, representation equality or expression mathematics, and representation of words or text written, whereas student with moderate self-efficacy category only capable shows 2 aspects ability representation mathematical that is representation equality or expression mathematics, and representation of words or text written. Temporary That student with low self-efficacy category only Can shows 1 aspect ability representation mathematical that is representation equality or expression mathematical.

Abstract

Writing is a means of expressing thoughts and emotions. Writing is a serves as a way for individuals to communicate with their surroundings, especially for students in senior high school. Writing is employed in all learning activities. One of the activities students engage in is writing descriptive texts. Students are required to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing. Proficiency in writing is essential before students can speak English fluently. It is expected that students can write effectively and accurately, as writing is crucial for their success in learning English. This study aims to enhance students writing skills through the use of application letters. By engaging with application letters, students are guided to assess their writing competencies and improve their skills, particularly among third-grade students in XII IPA 2 senior high school. This research employed a qualitative approach involving observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The study included 28 third-grade students from XII IPA 2 senior high school as participants. The findings indicate that the use of application letters has effectively enhanced students' writing competencies. It is recommended that students gain confidence in expressing their ideas in written form and utilize application letters to overcome writing difficulties and find solutions.

Abstract

Computational thinking is a very important ability in the transitional era of the industrial revolution 4.0 to 5.0 because it has a role in supporting problem solving, especially in the field of Education by applying computer thinking. Seeing the role of computational thinking in education, an assessment is needed to assess students' ability to apply computational thinking to solve problems, especially in learning computer science. Therefore, the aim of this study is to present a high-quality bibliometric review of various literature on assessment computational thinking. This type of research is bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Literature was collected from the Scopus database of 191 articles published in 2019-2023. The results of this study show that in the network visualization results there are 5 clusters, namely cluster 1 (43 items), cluster 2 (31 items), cluster 3 (27 items), cluster 4 (21 items), and cluster 5 (19 items). Meanwhile, on the results of overlay visualization and density visualization, it can be seen that the computational thinking assessment research shows that when it is associated with the themes of instrument, validity, reliability, and computer science education, not much research has been done so that there are opportunities for renewable research by taking these themes.

Abstract

The learning model is a factor that can influence learning outcomes, so in order to achieve maximum learning outcomes, teachers must be able to select and define the appropriate learning model. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the realistic mathematics model on student learning outcomes. This research uses an experimental research design. The population of this study is all fifth-grade classes at SD Negeri Kembangan Utara 06 Pagi, with VA class as the control group and VB class as the experimental group. The research sample consists of 64 respondents. The learning outcomes test used is a multiple-choice pretest and posttest. The result of this research shows that there's implementation of realistic mathematics learning model has an influence on learning outcomes in mathematics. Based on the t-test analysis, the research findings show a significant effect of the realistic mathematics learning model on mathematics learning outcomes, therefore, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the influence of cognitive strategies toward student ability in determining the main idea in descriptive text. This research uses quantitative research methods, using the preexperiment method with the design of the one group pretest posttest. The researchers uses tests as a data collection technique, then pretest and posttest as research instruments. Participants in this research were 52 class XI students of SMK 2 LPPM RI Majalaya. Research data shows that cognitive strategies help students in determine the main idea in descriptive text. Students can demonstrate better reading comprehension skills. This data is supported by the pretest results which have a mean value of 52.02 and posttest results which have a mean value of 87.92. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis test using paired sample t-test method show that there is a significant influence of the use of cognitive strategies toward students ability to determine the main idea in descriptive text with the Sig value. < 0.05 or 0.001 < 0.05. Based on the research results, cognitive strategies influence students ability in determine the main idea in descriptive text.
