Abstract

The Harapan Baru I Forest Farmers Group is one of the forest farmer groups in the Wan Abdul Rachman Great Forest Park. In the cultivated land of the Harapan I Forest Farmers Group, there are productive sugar palm trees as a producer of palm sap. Sugar palm is a tree belonging to the Palmae family. The objectives of this research were to determine of sugar palm sap production at the cultivated land of the Harapan Baru I Forest Farmer Group. The research was carried out in November until December 2021. The method used was the direct observation in the field related to the volume of sugar palm sap. In addition, a simple regression analysis was carried out to determine effect the height of the growing place on the production of sugar palm sap. The results obtained, there are 9 individuals are being harvested sap. The average production of sugar palm sap is 16.7 l/tree per day. The production of sugar palm sap is influenced by the height of the place where it grows and the age of the sugar palm tree. The higher the place to grow, the more sugar palm sap produced. The largest production of sugar palm sap is obtained from sugar palm trees 10—15 years old, which is 29.8 l/tree. The production of sugar palm sap at the cultivated land of the Harapan Baru I Forest Farmers Group I in the Wan Abdul Rachman Great Forest Park is in the medium category.

Abstract

Waterfalls are a tourist attraction that has been widely used for its ecosystem services as Nature-Based Tourism in Bali. However, there are still several waterfall points that have not been recorded in the mapping that has been carried out, one of which is in the Bukitsari Sub-Village, Tegallinggah Village which actually also has an uncharted waterfall. The objectives of this study were 1) to know the general description of the location of the waterfall in Bukitsari Sub-Village, 2) to find out the distribution of waterfalls in Bukitsari Sub-Village, 3) to identify waterfall as a potential tourist attraction in Bukitsari Sub-Village. This research is a descriptive research with spatial analysis. The method used in this research is a field survey which includes observation, documentation and interviews. From the results of the study it can be concluded that in general the location is close to the city of Singaraja. There are two waterfalls in Bukitsari Sub-Village, Tegallinggah Village that not too far from one another because in one river flow. Based on its potential, the waterfall in Bukitsari Sub-Village, Tegallinggah Village has a low potential value, this is because there is no availability of supporters such as extreme sports, there is no accommodation at all except souvenirs by taking pictures at the waterfall, and the location, distance, travel time was is quite long with dirt roads and difficult to reach because of vegetation dense and sharp terrain slope, and there are no institutions and managers.

Abstract

Jatropha curcas (Jatropha curcas) is a woody shrub that is widely found in tropical areas. This plant is known to be very drought tolerant and easily propagated by cuttings. The oil that comes from the fence is used as fuel (biodiesel). The object of research was to find out the influence of Root Up Growth Regulating Substance (ZPT) concentration on the growth of Jatropha stem cuttings. The method of research used is an experimental method using a Group Randomized Design (RAK) with the treatment of Root Up Growth Regulators (ZPT) concentrations of 0 mg, 20 mg, 25 mg, 30 mg, and 40 mg repeated 10 times. The observed variables are, number of roots, average length of roots, number of shoots, and average length of shoots. The results obtained from giving ZPT Root up with concentrations of 0 mg, 20 mg, 25 mg, 30 mg, and 40 mg had no significant effect on the growth of the number of roots, average root length, number of shoots, and average shoot length. No significant influence of concentration was found, but seen from DMRT there was a tendency for the P2 treatment with a concentration of 25 mg to show the best average shoot length.

Abstract

Masigit Kareumbi Game Park (Taman Buru Masigit Kareumbi or TBMK) is a conservation forest that can be used to accomodate game tourism with 12.42070 ha area. In 1998, PT. Prima Multi Sarana (PMS) was given permission to conduct pine resin extraction in 2005 in TBMK area of PT. PMS; however they disobeyed the code of conduct by taking away the wood forest products (Hasil Hutan Kayu or HHK) causing forest damage that leading to the change of land cover in TBMK area. The purpose of this research is to find out how much change of land cover in TBMK after the game park establishment, and the factors that affect the change. This study used spatial data method with SIG system and  Snowball Sampling technique in getting respondents’ samples. The result showed that TBMK in Cimanggung Adminiatrative Area had 468,66 ha land cover change in each closing type area from 1997 to 2017. The factors that cause the change of land cover in TBMK are the misuse of permission by PT. PMS, farmers activities in the area, unsettled area border, the lack of area guard and the socialization for the villagers, and the weakness of law enforcement
