Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of independence, integrity and professional ethics on the audit quality of KAP Central Jakarta and South Jakarta when implementing work from home (WFH) policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. We used used purposive sampling technique for the purpose data collection. This study used 40 samples of Auditor Accounting Firm. Data testing was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26. Hypothesis testing in this study is conducted with the F test, the t statistical test, the determination coefficient test and the multiple regression analysis test. The results showed that variable independence didn’t have a significant positive effect on the audit quality of KAP Central Jakarta and South Jakarta at the time of WFH policy, while variable integrity and professional ethics positively significant effect on the audit quality in Central and South Jakarta KAP’s Firm during implementation of WFH policy.

Abstract

Employee training and development has an important role in increasing company competitiveness and productivity. The company's competitive power does not only rely on assets or capital owned, but the role of human resources is the main component in the continuity of the company. This study aims to determine the effect of partial and stimulant on the independent variable (X1) Facilitator, (X2) Material (X3) Method (X4) Participants' motivation on the dependent variable (Y) Graduates of Brevet Credit Application Package (CAP) training participants at PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. In addition, to find out the efforts made by BNI Corporate University as a training provider in increasing Brevet Credit Application Package (CAP) participants. The type of research used is quantitative research with a sample size of 50 respondents. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The results of this study prove that there is a partial and simultaneous influence between the independent variable and the dependent variable. In addition, BNI Corporate University also has training in efforts to increase participant graduation in selecting quality facilitators, improving the quality of modules or materials, adjusting methods with material topics, and forms of motivation given by BNI Corporate University to the training participants.

Abstract

The use of online shopping applications has spread widely at present. However, the reasons why consumers use these applications are not fully understood. Therefore, by adapting the Technology Acceptance Model, this study aims to find the factors that encourage online shoppers to use the Shopee application. The three exogenous variables are perceived complexity, self-efficacy, and internet connection. The sample data is 150 respondents, taken by judgment sampling and processed using structural equation modelling with WarpPLS. This study found that complexity does not have a direct effect on perceived usefulness but has a negative influence on perceived ease of use. As hypothesised, self-efficacy determines perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use positively and significantly. The impact of internet connection on perceived usability and perceived ease of use are also in the same pattern. The same result was also performed by perceived ease of use on perceived usefulness and attitudes toward the use and perceived usefulness on attitudes toward use. Future research can add anticipated emotions as an exogenous variable.

Abstract

The developments in the internet and related technology have switched business digitally. One of the digital businesses known widely is an online food delivery service, GoFood. With the growth of the online food delivery service business, the business players in the industry struggle for the most crucial factor for success: customer loyalty. The need for customer loyalty forces GoFood to ensure customers experience positive service and are satisfied. However, empirical confirmation of this notion is still not fully available. This study is purposed to find such a necessity in the GoFood context. Therefore, the authors collected the data from 190 GoFood customers chosen judgmentally. Data analysis with multiple linear regression analysis reveals that customer experience and satisfaction positively and significantly affect customer loyalty with a determinant coefficient of 42.2%. Further research can replicate this study constructively by adding a structural path from customer experience to customer satisfaction.

Abstract

A brand ambassador is someone who has an appeal to consumers and can influence consumers to buy the product. This brand ambassador has been widely used by business people, one of which is McDonald's, McDonald's makes BTS as brand ambassadors. Basic is eWoM theory which states that viral marketing is one part of e-WoM and is a mediating variable from brand ambassadors that affects purchase intention. Respondents were those who had ever purchased BTS Meal in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling using Judgmental Sampling, with a sample of 113 respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and path analysis, and Sobel test, with SPSS and Online Mediation Calculator as tools. This study concludes that brand ambassadors, viral marketing are confirmed as the determinant of purchase intention of BTS Meal. Further research is suggested to conduct the study in different context.

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic reduces face-to-face customer service and forces banks to initiate digital-based banking services. Gradually the traditional activities of banks are switching to digital banking, and banks are starting to compete to create digital banking that is easily accessible to customers. That practice is now growing rapidly. However, the customer's response to this new approach is not fully understood. Therefore, the authors detect customers' responses in the form of customer satisfaction and use customer experience and ease of use of digital customer service tools as presumed determinants. Using judgmental sampling to prove this notion, the authors recruited 113 customers as respondents. Structural equation modelling with WarPLS reveals that customer experience has no significant effect on customer satisfaction, while ease of use has. This study suggests the direction for further research based on the conclusion.

Abstract

The theory states that a person's desire to learn something is influenced by the level of current knowledge. However, it is not yet known how the quality of information affects that desire. By using the stock agent's Instagram account as a source of information, this study aims to investigate the effect of the quality of current information and knowledge on an interest to invest in stocks. Therefore, the authors recruited 100 followers of the @tanamduit Instagram account, which were taken using judgmental sampling. Data were analyzed by multiple linear analysis with the help of SPSS. The results confirm that the quality of current information and the level of knowledge influence individuals’ interest to invest. Future research may investigate further how that  interest is transformed into actual behavior.

Abstract

The Covid-19 Pandemic occurred from 2020 to 2021 forced many organizations to arrange their employes to do works from home. The question is, does the new working system affect employee performance? The authors proposed that the new working system, work environment and work culture influence job performance through job satisfaction. To test that notion, the authors conducted a study in the Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi Wilayah III by recruiting 47 employees as respondents who were work from home during the pendemic. Data processing using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Model with the help of SmartPLS 3 shows that organizational culture has a positive effect on performance but has no effect on job satisfaction. The work environment directly determines employee satisfaction but indirectly does not affect employee performance improvement. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant influence on improving performance. The work environment has a positive effect on job satisfaction. Organizational culture and job satisfaction positively and significantly affect employee performance. The work environment has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance. In short, the new environment generates no effect on job performance. Future research should involve more respondents.

Abstract

The primary purpose of establishing a company is to maximize its value of the company. In that process, firm value is inseparable from agency problems caused by shareholders' and managers' different interests. Several mechanisms are expected to reduce agency problems, including debt and dividend policies. However, until now, the role of these two policies in solving agency problems is still inconsistent. This study aimed to determine how agency costs mediate debt and dividend policy on firm value. The fundamental theories to solve this research problem are agency and free cash flow theories. The object of this study is to the primary consumer goods sector companies listed on the IDXNONCYC index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2018-2020 period, with a total final sample of 25 companies or 75 units of analysis. The data analysis technique used in this study is the path coefficient test using SmartPLS 3.2.9. With this technic, the authors analyze the outer model test, inner model test, and the goodness of fit test. The outer model test with bootstrapping outer weights has an invalid indicator, namely the PBV indicator. Therefore this indicator needs to be eliminated. The goodness of fit states that the model is significant but has a weak model. This study found that debt and dividend policy positively affect firm value and negatively affect agency costs. Agency costs have a positive and significant effect on firm value. Agency costs have no mediation effect of debt and dividend policy on firm value.

Abstract

Many researchers refer to any graded scale as a Likert scale. In addition to misnaming, this assumption can lead to errors in the data scale and analysis technique. This paper aims to explain the instrument scales in the survey and the data types they generate. Thus, the position of the Likert scale compared to other measurement scales becomes apparent so that researchers can give the right name to the scale they use and choose the proper data analysis technique according to its type.
