Abstract

Composites are two or more kinds of materials that are combined or combined on a macroscopic scale (can be seen directly by the eye) so that they become new, more useful materials. So far, the use of composites uses materials made of metal or steel. This research was carried out to make a natural fiber reinforced composite material, namely salak midrib which can be used as a substitute for metal materials used in Indonesian Air Force defense equipment such as bullet-proof vests. This study aims to determine the mechanical properties in the form of tensile strength and hardness values of salak fiber composites and to determine the ballistic strength of a composite fired with 9 mm caliber bullets (MU-1TJ) with several variations of firing distance according to NIJ standards using Precision Shooting Test Equipment. The manufacture of this composite uses the Vacuum Bag composite method. From the test results, the mechanical properties of the salak midrib fiber composite are in the form of a tensile strength of 21.46 N/mm2 and a hardness value of 23.64 HV. The results of the ballistic test were 2 specimens that met the NIJ standard and 2 specimens that did not meet the NIJ standard. The first specimen that meets the NIJ level IIA standard is a composite specimen with the composition of Kevlar and SiC Filler, where the results from a shooting distance of 30 mm have a BFS of 6.26 mm, a distance of 25 m has a BFS of 11.86 mm, a distance of 10 m and 5 m bullets penetrate the specimen. . The second specimen that meets NIJ level II and IIA standards is a hybrid composite specimen with a composition of blended bark fiber, kevlar fiber, SiC and Al7075-T6 fillers, where the results of firing at a distance of 30 mm have a BFS of 0 mm, a distance of 25 m has a BFS of 0 mm, a distance of 10 m has a BFS of 0 mm and a distance of 5 m has a BFS of 0 mm (all bullets did not penetrate the specimen).

Abstract

In the Era of Society 5.0., when the threat of the existence of the nation state becameincreasingly complex, Indonesian nationalism indicated a decline. The degradation of the role of the family and society has had an impact on the role of education which until now is seen as not quite effective. This literature study on nationalism aims to explain the condition of Indonesian nationalism, family and society as the dominant factor, as well as revitalizing the role of education stakeholders in the development of nationalism in Era 5.0. By using the descriptive-qualitative method the study concludes as follows; (1) the construction of Indonesian nationalism is built on a strong foundation of perception and belief in colonialism as an external threat (common enemy) to the existence of the nation-state which continues to dominate the journey of national life until the Era of Society 5.0, (2) the role of the unity of fate (chiksalgemeinschaft) tends to stagnant along with the widening of various gaps in national life. The role of education also decreases along with the degradation of the role of family and society, (3) re-empowerment of the role of family and community is very vital in order to build strong perceptions and beliefs of all elements of society in understanding the counter belief of ideology of Pancasila, the flood of foreign products, and others as a threat. enemy) along with the existence of the nation state. One thing that can be done is empowering the role of the Village (Kelurahan) to better ensure the socialization and internalization process, including optimizing the use of village funds to support its operational implementation.

Abstract

The application of 2-dimensional LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) technology is sometimes constrained by the presence of data anomalies or noise that affects the accuracy in detecting real objects. If it is not handled properly, it can interfere with its work operations, especially if it is applied to autonomous electric vehicles. Therefore, efforts are needed to reduce noise which is implemented in LiDAR data processing software. In this study, the development of noise reduction technology that appears in the two-dimensional LiDAR data point cloud is carried out. The concept applied is the development of a systematic LiDAR data processing algorithm. The design of this algorithm contains visualization of object detection, storage of LiDAR data point cloud as detected object information, as well as noise reduction methods on the two-dimensional LiDAR data point cloud. This algorithm is realized in software form on Raspberry Pi 4 hardware, using the Python programming language. There are six algorithms used to reduce or eliminate noise, namely Algorithm 1, Algorithm 2, Algorithm 3, Algorithm 4, Algorithm 5, Algorithm 6. The experimental results show that the six algorithms created are able to display data visualization based on a 2-dimensional mapping system that is corrected for noise. The six algorithms succeeded in selecting noise up to 100%, although approximately 80% of the data that were considered correct could not be presented. Even if only 20% of the data is correct, the object structure is still recognizable

Abstract

When career women are not able to balance the two roles, they will experience a conflict known as dual role conflict. On this basis, it is necessary to analyze the relationship between Wara's dual role and work stress as educators and education personnel at the Air Force Academy as part of the readiness of the AAU's role to prepare Indonesian Air Force human resources in the era of society 5.0. The research method used in this study is a correlational quantitative method. The variables in this study are self-adjustment as the dependent variable and the dual role as the independent variable. Based on the research, it can be concluded that dual role conflict has a negative correlation with Wara AAU's work stress due to factors that can reduce work stress, namely setting a reasonable workload, task characteristics that are in accordance with Wara's nature as a woman, strong group cohesion and able to accommodate Wara's needs, as well as AAU's organizational structure and climate followed by leadership policies to provide relatively more flexible working hours, making it easier for Wara to manage carrying out her role as a housewife as well as a woman with a career.

Abstract

The process of globalization and advances in information technology have caused major changes in the lives of the world's people. Access to information is getting easier and faster to spread throughout the country, creating global transparency where the physical boundaries of a country's sovereignty do not seem to exist, thus presenting a world without borders. Advances in technology have encouraged the formation of an increasingly transparent and open world society. This openness provides opportunities for interdependence between nations, and often leads to competition. The high level of competence can lead to an increase in the interests of a country against other countries. Indonesia as an independent and sovereign country with abundant natural resources and human resources, needs to develop awareness of state defense in the form of increasing national defense capabilities through the participation of universities, both in developing defense equipment through research and developing human resources as a defense force. The mandate of the Constitution in article 27 paragraph (3) states that every citizen has the right and is obliged to participate in efforts to defend the state. Every citizen has the right and is obliged to participate in national defense and security efforts (Article 30 paragraph 1) and Article 2 states that state defense and security is carried out through a universal people's defense and security system in which the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the Indonesian National Police are the main forces, and the people as a supporting force. Observing the constitutional order requires the role of universities in developing their contribution to the development and development of the national defense system. There is a need for a mechanism of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education and Culture in general as well as cooperation between TNI units related to Higher Education as providers of higher education.

Abstract

The security of Indonesia's territorial territory requires a breakthrough in terms of regional security strategies. This is due to the limitation of resources owned by the government compared to the area for which it is responsible. Advances in science and technology in the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have provided breakthroughs as a solution in regional security strategies more effectively and efficiently without compromising the quality of regional security. The Air Force through the 51 UAVs Air Squadron, as an air squadron that relies on the use of UAVs, has proven that the use of UAVs is capable of making a real contribution to the security strategy of the region. This is evidenced by the involvement of the 51 UAV Air Squadron in several operations that provide optimal results in terms of surveillance of the intended object. With reference to the advantages possessed by the 51 UAV Air Squadron, it can be concluded that the role of UAVs in the strategy of securing the region is significant. As a follow-up, efforts are needed to increase the breadth of UAV range and use surveillance results more widely with cross-institutional that can be expanded so that its use can be maximized.
