Abstract

Background: Environment is the unity of space with all objects, power, circumstances, and living things, including humans and behavior. A healthy environment is seen from the protection and good management of the environment. In Muna District there are 12 independent practice midwives who produce medical waste every day. Medical waste must be managed properly. The purpose of this study was to determine the management arrangements for medical practice for independent midwives in Muna District, to analyze the implementation of management of independent midwives' medical waste and to identify the obstacles faced by independent midwives in the management of medical waste. Method: This study is a socialogical juridical study with descriptive research It examines the rules of the law and what happens in reality in society. The juridical aspects used in this study are the laws and implementation regulations related to the responsibility of implementing medical waste management in independent practice midwives Results: The implementation of the management of independent midwife medical practices in Muna Regency has not been carried out properly in accordance with applicable local regulations and policies. Good medical waste management ranging from medical waste selection, storage, transportation, management, burial and hoarding has not been done Conclusions: Socialization needs to be done from the IBI organization and the Muna District Environment Office to provide understanding to independent midwives on medical and procedural waste management in special control and regulation. Abstract

Background : Complementary Foods ASI (MP-ASI) is a reliable tool to build quality human resources, because MP-ASI is one of the foods that guarantees baby's growth and development. The purpose  to increase knowledge and attitudes of mothers in Posyandu Melati A and B, Kamarora Village, Nokilalaki District Method: This study uses a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design with a pre-experimental one-group pre-post-test design. The sample is 48 people with total sampling technique. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test Results: The result of knowledge before counseling was sufficient amounting to 23 respondents (47.9%) after counseling was good 41 respondents (85.4%) attitude before counseling did not accept 47 respondents (97.9%) after counseling received attitude amounted to 34 respondents (70.8%) Conclusions: there is an extension influence about the provision of breast milk companion food (Carrots, Radish, Quail Eggs) to increase maternal knowledge and attitude in Posyandu Melati A and B Kamarora Kec.Nokilalaki Village.with a p-value of 0.000, < (α0.5) Keywords: Complementary feeding of breast milk (Carrots, Radish, Quail Eggs), Increased knowledge, Attitude

Abstract

Background: Smoking is become problem that still could not solve well till now. A lot of relus and annousment regarding smoking could not stop them, but mone tham expectation, the real faet based on Riskesdas meutioned that smoking more aggressive. The purposeof this research to obtain the influence of presentation about smoking effect toward teenager’s knowledge in grade X of SMA Neg 5 palu. Method: This is qualitative research. Actualy quantitative approached used for inferential research (hypothesis test) to analys the data numerical data that formulated in statistic method. Sampling number was 31 teenager that taken by cluster sampling tehnique Results: of research shown that performanc of personal hygiene about 51,4%, bivariate analys of wilcoxon tes with asymp. Sig (ztailed) value : 0,000. (0,000<0,05). So, it concluded that there is influence of presentation about smoking effect toward teenager’s knowledge in grade X of SMA Neg 5 palu Conclusions: this research mentioned there is differences of pre test and post tes studi result, that means there is influence of presentation about smoking effect toward teenager’s knowledge in grade X of SMA Neg 5 palu Keywords: Smoking effect, Teenager’s knowledge

Abstract

Background: Physical abuse is main problem in society toward mental disorder pateint. The prevention effort for physical abuse need  nurses compotence with implementation strategic of sesion 3 toward high risk of physical abuse. The purpose of research to analyse the correlation of nurses compotence with implementation strategic of sesion 3 toward high risk of physical abuse in Madani General Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province Method: This is quantitative research with cross sectional design. The total of population is 30 staff nurses in Manggis, Salak, and Sarikaya Ward of Madani General Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province and sampling taken by total population sampling technique. This research analysed by univariate and bivariate analyses Results: The result of fisher’s exact test found p value =0,000 (p Value <0,05), it means statistically that have correlation between nurses compotence with implementation strategic of sesion 3 toward high risk of physical abuse. Conclusions: mentioned that have correlation of nurses compotence with implementation strategic of sesion 3 toward high risk of physical abuse in Madani General Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. Abstract

Background: Scabies is an infectious skin infection caused by the parasite Sarcoptes scabiei and the most common cause of lack of self-hygiene. Poor personal hygiene behavior is still a common factor in the transmission of scabies in santri caused by poor self-hygiene behavior and poorly maintained environment. This purpose to find out the relationship of knowledge and personal hygiene with the incidence of scabies in Pesantren IMMIM Putra Makassar Method: The study uses quantitative research methods with an observational analytic approach and uses cross-sectional study designs conducted in July-August 2021. Sampling technique uses purposive sampling with a sample number of 100 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire Results: The results showed that respondents who had experienced scabies with low knowledge were 15.5% and respondents with high knowledge experienced 34.5% scabies. The results of the statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.001 while that respondents who had experienced scabies with less personal hygiene were 31.5% and respondents who experienced enough scabies were 18.5%. The statistical test result obtained p-value is 0.534 Conclusions: The study concluded that there is a significant association between knowledge and the incidence of scabies disease while personal hygiene is not significantly related Keywords: Scabies,  knowledge, Personal Hygiene

Abstract

Baground: Education is very important given to diabetes milletus patients to improve their health and prevent complications. One of the educations for diabetes patients is Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME). DSME is an ongoing process undertaken to facilitate knowledge of clients' skills and abilities to perform self-care. This study aims to determine the effect of the Diabetes Self Management Education program on knowledge of self-management in patients with type 2 diabetes. Method: This study used a Quasi Experiment research method with a two group pre-post test control design conducted in April 2021. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 36 people divided into 18 treatment groups received the DSME program and 18 control groups received education from the Puskesmas program. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Results: Contains research results that are written directly to answer the problem and discuss the results. Conclusions: The results showed that the P value of the Independent T Test for knowledge was 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there was a significant difference in knowledge between the control group and the treatment group Keywords: Diabetes self management education, knowledge

Abstract

Background: Performance is the appearance of the work of personnel both in quantity and quality in an organization. Some nurses have poor performance due to a lack of knowledge, motivation, and discipline of nurses. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, motivation, and work discipline with the performance of nurses at the Katobu Health Center. Methods: This type of research is an analytical survey with a Cross-Sectional Study approach, the population is 45 people, with a total sampling technique, with a sample of 45 people. The analytical method is used in univariate and bivariate (Chi-square) analyses. Results: There is a relationship between knowledge and nurse performance = 0.013 (ρ < 0.05), There is a relationship between motivation and nurse performance = 0.000 (ρ < 0.05), There is no relationship between discipline and nurse performance p-value = 0.096 > 0, 05. Conclusion: there is a relationship of motivation with the performance of nurses and there is no relationship of discipline with the performance of nurses. It is recommended to the Katobu Health Center to evaluate the performance of nurses, increase the knowledge and motivation of nurses and improve nurse discipline. Abstract

Background: The low rate of patient satisfaction will have an impact on the development of health centers or hospitals. For patients who are dissatisfied with the service received, the patient will move to another facility that provides better service. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the facilities and work behavior of nurses on patient satisfaction through the performance of nurses at the Pasir Putih Health Center.Methods: This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional study approach, the sample consists of 287 respondents, used simple a random sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using path analysis, which is a development technique of multiple linear regression. Results: The results showed that the facilities p = 0,008, nurse behavior p = 0,020, nurse performance p = 0,000. R Square value 0,413. This means that the influence of facilities, behavior on nurse performance through patient satisfaction is 41,3%. Path analysis shows the effect of facilities (0,134) and nurses' work behavior (0,147) on patient satisfaction through nurse performance. There is a direct effect of nurse behavior on patient satisfaction (0,116) and there is an indirect effect between facilities and nurse performance on patient satisfaction (0,161).Conclusion: there is an effect of facilities and work behavior of nurses on patient satisfaction through nurse performance. It is suggested to the Pasir Putih Health Center to maintain and improve the work behavior of nurses towards patients to encourage an increase in the image and commitment of patients to continue using the Pasir Putih Health Center in the future. Abstract

Background: of Posyandu being managed by a puskesmas cannot be separated from the role of the community through the presence of cadres. The role of Posyandu cadres is to bring the needs of health services closer to the community. To improve the performance of posyandu cadres, it is necessary to look at the variables related to posyandu cadres' performance. The aim of the researcher was to determine the relationship between motivation, knowledge and attitude with the role of cadres in improving posyandu services in the working area of the Lembang Health Center.Method: Quantitative research method using a cross sectional approach with a sample of 55. The measuring instrument uses a questionnaire with a checklist method.Result: The results showed 29 respondents (52.7%) with good motivation, knowledge and attitude with the role of cadres in improving posyandu services, while as many as 26 respondents (47.3%) had less motivation, knowledge and attitudes with the role of cadres in improving posyandu service. Conclusions: The results of the Chi Squere test obtained a P value = 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between motivation, knowledge and attitude with the role of cadres in improving posyandu services in the working area of the Lembang Public Health Center, Majene Regency.Keywords: Posyandu, cadres, attitude, knowledge, motivation

Abstract

Baground: Childhood is the most vulnerable time for anxiety syndrome since anxiety syndrome will continue to adolescent, and 15-20% can cause trauma, decreased school performance, turnover of mental health disorders such as depression and early treatment due to psychiatric disorders. Method: This research is an analytical observational study with a cross sectional approach and this research was conducted in October 2021 with a total sample 0f 173 using purposive sampling technique. Result: the result of the analysis showed that 51 respondents (21,9%) experienced moderate anxiety, age 2-5 years anda 30 respondent (17,3%) experienced mild anxiety and the chi-square test showed that the p value from a = 0,05 which means that there is a significant relationship between the age of the child and anxiety.Conclusion: the result of the bivariate test showed that there was a relationship between the child’s age and anxiety in children undergoing hospitalization.Keywords: Hospitalization, anxiety, age
