Abstract

Research on the effect of NPK fertilizer and fertilizer application through leaves on the growth and yield of red chili (Capsicum annum L) was carried out from October 2021–March 2022 on farmer lands in Tanah Grow Village, Tanah Grow District, Bungo Regency. With the aim of knowing the interaction between NPK fertilizer and fertilizer through leaves on the growth and yield of red chili plants. This experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design in the form of factorial with two factors and repeated 3 times. Factor A is the dose of NPK fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely: NI = 5 gr, N2 = 10 gr, N3 = 15 gr, N4 = 20 gr .Factor B is the provision of fertilizer through the leaves (Seprint), namely: PI = 8 cc/ltr, P2 = 10 cc/ltr, P3 = 12 cc/ltr, P4 = 14 cc/ltr, P5 = 16 cc/ltr. Based on the experiment, it can be concluded that there was an interaction between NPK fertilizer and Seprint leaf fertilizer on the yield of red chili plants, while there was no interaction with plant height, number of leaves and number of productive branches. The application of NPK fertilizer with a dose of N3 = 15 grams gave the best results on red chili crop yields. In the use of fertilizer through leaves (Seprint) the best concentration was 10 cc/liter, for plant height. Provision of NPK fertilizer and fertilizer through leaves (Seprint) had no significant effect on the parameters of the number of leaves and the number of productive branches.

Abstract

The utilization of rice straw waste as fermented ammonia (Amofer) for cattle farming was done in Desa Batu Kuta Kecamatan Narmada Kabupaten Lombok Barat from April-September 2021 with aims to introduce Amofer feed technology to increase body weight of bulls. The research procedures that have been carried out includes: 1). Amofer feed manufacture by adding ammonia in rice straw (Ammonia Straw), and 2). Amofer feeding management. This study was used 15 Bali bulls with 225 kg – 250 kg of body weights. There are three (3) treatments of Amofer feeding management, namely: R0 = Farmer's treatment (straw+concentrate); R1 = Forage 30% (15% elephant grass + 15% gamal grass) + 69 % Amofer feed + 1 % Concentrate (corn + bran); R2 = Forage 70% (35% elephant grass + 35% gamal grass) + 29 % Amofer feed + 1 % Concentrate (corn + bran). Parameters measured were feed consumption (FC) and daily body weight gain (DBWG). The results showed that the highest of FC was found on Bali bull with R-2 treatment (14.42 kg/each/day), and the highest of DBWG was shown by Bali bull whith R-2 treatment (0.66 kg/each/day). It is concluded, the Amofer feed formula in R2 treatment was more efficiently applied to ruminants with the aim of fattening cattle.

Abstract

Shrimp paste is a product of fermentation that every time it will continue to be degradated by microorganisms. The degradation has a time limit to continue to produce the best quality shrimp paste based on the value of the Indonesian National Standard. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of shrimp paste up to a storage period of 3 months 7 days. This study was used a randomized block design (RBD) method with different storage times of 7, 37 and 67 days. The quality parameters of shrimp paste used were physicochemical value by measuring pH and salt content and proximate analysis by measuring protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash content and air content. The results were showed that the pH of the shrimp paste was in the alkaline range from 7.72 to 7.33, the proportion of salt content was 5.09%. Proximate analysis were showed protein content (37.05%), fat (3.26%), carbohydrates (4.23%), ash content (19.45%), and air content (36%). Based on the results of this study, it was found that shrimp paste with a storage period of 3 months and 7 days met national standards except for the ash content.

Abstract

The agribusiness sector is a mega sector in the national economy, involving all national regions, involving and supporting about 80 percent of the Indonesian population, absorbing most of the national workforce with various qualities and various socio-cultural backgrounds. As an effort to increase food security, it is necessary to empower the agribusiness sector. The food crisis cannot be solved only in the sub-sector, but must be comprehensive starting from upstream agribusiness, farming, and downstream food, including the provision of supporting services. As part of the national economy, the performance of the agribusiness sector is influenced by the economic strategies and policies adopted by the government. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the relationship between empowerment of the agribusiness sector, especially as an effort to increase food security. Since the economic crisis hit, only the domestic agribusiness sector has been able to survive, therefore to make adjustments to the new environment, namely by empowering the agribusiness economic sector as a national industrialization strategy that is able to build a strong foundation of Indonesia's balance of payments in the long term and able to survive, especially in the long term. food crisis period that has the potential for national economic recovery.

Abstract

Laying hens are one of the poultry commodities that have an important role as egg producers in supporting the availability of cheap and easy to obtain animal protein. Provincial government NTB has determined that one of six strategic programs in the vision and mission of the 2019-2023 Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) is animal husbandry and processing industries (DisKop NTB, 2022), including laying hens. This study aims to determine the amount of business income and the efficiency of the laying hen farming business which was carried out in Barabali Village, Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency from August to October 2022. The method used in this research is a survey method and interviews with laying hen breeders who have chicken farms with a capacity of 500-1,000 heads. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used is business income analysis by using the formula: π = TR – TC or income (π) is obtained from the difference in total revenue/acceptance (TR) and total cost/variable costs, while business efficiency is calculated using the formula RC Ratio = PK (Gross Income) divided by TBP (Total Cost of Production). The results showed that the average income of laying hens in Barabali Village was Rp. 380,080,000,-. The efficiency level of laying hen farming business based on the R/C ratio is 2.29, meaning that this business is feasible to develop. Laying chicken farms in rural areas should increase production by increasing capacity because they still have vacant land and utilize chicken manure waste and used feed sacks as additional income to increase business revenue.
