Abstract

The main purpose of research is whether the representation of mathematical ability of students increased after learning gained through the program Mathematical Maple combined with cooperative learning Think Pair Share on lectures of Mathematical Physics. Subjects were students of third semester of physical education courses with the number of 35 students. The method used is a Class Action Research conducted through three cycles or actions which each cycle. The research instrument consists of: test, questionnaire, and observation guidelines. Based on data analysis concluded: (1) the ability of the representation of the students in understanding the meaning of the physical, the ability of representation of students to represent the mathematical equation in the form of graphs, the ability of the representation of the students in giving meaning physical on the results of visualization, and the ability of the representation of the students in understanding the course materials Mathematical Physics increase in each cycle or action; (2) the implementation process using computer-aided applications maple in the first cycle having problems because the students have never known the computer-assisted program maple, but in the next cycle students were able to adjust the maple program that is being used; and (3) the response of students to the course of action given the overall increase in each cycle. Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the student’ understanding of law of Fundamental chemistry concept after learning using tools developed through 5E learning cycle model. Designing of learning tools adopted Dick and Carey model. Learning tools was tested on students PGMIPAU FKIP Untan first half of 2014. This type of study was Research and Development. Instruments in this study were the achievement test, observation sheets of lesson plan implementation and observation sheets of barriers in learning. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings of the study were: tools developed had feasible validity, implementation of lesson plan was very good, and students' understanding of law of fundamental chemistry concepts was improved that can be seen from the normalized gain scores. It was concluded that student’ learning outcomes after implementing 5E learning cycle model on the law of fundamental chemistry has increased. Abstract

This research aims to produce Virtual Laboratory as interactive multimedia on sub material the isolation of bacteria, knowing about adisability of Virtual Laboratory, and measure the comprehension of the student PGMIPAU Education Biology FKIP Untan concept whom get be taught with Virtual Laboratory. The research method that used is a Development Research. This method  includes four stages that is the analysis and design stage for produce Virtual Laboratory prototype. The next stage is evaluation and revision until the Virtual Laboratory was proper to use. Implementation of media have done at small group (the student PGMIPAU Education Biology). Be based on result of validation by validator of media and matter, Virtual Laboratory get catagorized as valid with the average of the validation is 3,18. Be based on result of student learnig outcomes obtained average 75,55 with the percentage of completness  is 88,88%. Keywords: Virtual Laboratory, isolation of bacteria.

Abstract

The reasons of this research is to determine the results of a study about the ability of DESCA and self concept new students of Mathematics Education in the course geometry. The method which used in this research is descriptive analysis method. Subjects in this research are students of mathematics education 2014 which take a course of Geometry I in Faculty of Education at the University of Tanjungpura Pontianak. The results showed that among the five aspects of DESCA which gives a good change is the aspect of self-concept. So, it makes the increase of student's self-concept , such as the confidence to expression their ideas and the courage to self recognition and expression of self-concept in geometry classes. Other conditions which conducive to implementation is the correct or incorrect answer is not broken immediately, but for accommodated and analyzed together. Keywords: DESCA, self concept, optimizing

Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure the ability of the experimental design students PGMIPAU in the practicum General Biology.The title practicum General Biology is respiration with the implementation of inquiry based laboratory activities are generated lesson.The method used in this study was a pretest - posttest control group design. The sample in this study is a first semester student PGMIPAU the 2013/2014 school year in the practicum General Biology. The instruments used is guidance practicum, worksheet, and inquiry test by multiple choice. The results show the ability of the experimental design students PGMIPAU in the practicum General Biology with inquiry -based laboratory activities are generated lesson in the very good category is determine the type of problem have average 96%. Beside that, the ability determining purpose of the experiment in the good category with average percentage 85%. Key word: inquiry based laboratory, respiration.

Abstract

This research aim to raise conceptual and procerural knowledge students through mathematical discouse approach. This study involving the students third semester of mathematic programme in Training and Education Faculty. To achieve goal, this study was used to action research method. Instrument in  this study consist of observer worksheet and test. Result of this study show that (i) competency of conceptual knowledge was multiplying from 10,3 %  (fisrt cycle) to  75,8 % (second cycle) in good or best category; (ii) competency of procedural knowledge was multiplying from 31,1 %  (fisrt cycle)  to  93 % (second cycle) in good or best category Key word: Conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge.

Abstract

This research has the objective of knowing the application of light concept as a sensor in the moment of projectile motion using the aplication of light sensor interfacing in stopwatch. The making of light sensor device is with electronic circuits method, while the defeniting the time uses digital stopwatch. Both devices are combined to be instrument of projectile motion experiment. The result of data analysis from the graphic, the distance of the time line the curve, that it is achieved a relationship between the variable and gradient or the degree of the graphic slope of the line is 4,875. From the calculation the gradient got gravitational acceleration (g) that is 9,75 m/s2. Gravitational acceleration that is almost reading the standard  gravitational acceleration, that is 9,8 m/s2 and it has only 0,05 m/s2 in difference from the research. It proves that this device can work well and stopwatch can automatically work. Keywords:  Interfacing  light sensor, motion projectile.
