Abstract

The incidence of shivering varies between 5% – 65 %. Shivering causes adverse physiological effects such as peripheralvasoconstriction, compensation of increasing oxygen requirement up to 5 times will increase carbon dioxide production,lowering arterial oxygen saturation, decreasing drug metabolism, disturbing blood coagulation factor, lowering immuneresponse, impairing wound healing, increasing protein breakdown, and ischemic of heart muscle. This study aims todetermine relationship between oxygenation with shivering incidence among spinal anaesthesia patients at Prof. Dr.Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto. This research was an analytic observational research with cross sectionalapproach. Population in this study was all patients with spinal anesthesia at Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto, withthe total of 50 patients. Sampling method using purposive sample, obtained 45 respondents. Data were analyzed using chisquaretest. Most of patients under spinal anesthesia at Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto were giving oxygenationmore than 2 lt/minas many as 25 patients (55.6%). Most of patients under spinal anesthesia were not experience shivering incidence as manyas 33 patients (73.3%). There is a relationship between oxygenation and shivering incidence among patients under spinalanaesthesia at Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto (p value = 0.000).

Abstract

One of the most feared man when he began to ripen is becoming senile and difficulty remembering recent memory. Someone who has dementia, there will be a decrease in intellectual function that causes the deterioration cognition and functional, resulting in impaired function of thesocial, work and daily activities, therefore their social activities will also be affected. Activities to increase the intelligence of the elderly can be done in Posyandu and at home. Posyandu kader are trained to conduct simple screening and intervention for at Posyandu and can be continued at home. During these elderly who come to Posyandu only get a health screening and supplementary feeding alone. This study aims to look at the role of Posyandu kader in improving intelligence elderly. The study is a quasi experiment, pre- post with control design. Samples taken as many as 32 elderly people from each of posyandu Gejawan Kulon as the intervention group and posyandu Gejawan Wetan as the control group. The results showed that the characteristics of the most respondents are aged 60-69 as much as 38,7% in intervention group and 71,9% in control group, female 100% in intervention group and 78,1% in control group, as housewives 50% in intervention group and 59,4% in the control group. And has last education in elementary school 50% in intervention group and 43,7% in control group, level of intelligence on the second assessment 62,5% normal-light in intervention group and balanced between normal-light and moderate in control group. And the number of eldery who have intelegensia reduction decreased by 0,3 from the current first assessment based on the T-Test as result 1,4 from 1,7. The Conclusion is the influence in intelligence enhancement training kader to increased intelligence eldery evidenced by the decline in the number of eldery who experience a decrease in intelligence in the control group.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is an important quality indicator of hospital performance, especially for clinical laboratory services. At themoment, services given by medical laboratory technologist personnel in blood sampling section are not optimal. Air forceHospital Dr. Suhardi Hardjolukito Yogyakarta, a public hospital in Bantul, has clinical laboratory which serves patients fromthe members of Indonesian military, civil servants, general patient, patients with health insurance coverage and also patientswith national health insurance program (Jamkesmas). This study was aimed to know the correlation between phlebotomyservices and patient satisfaction in clinical laboratory of Air Force Hospital Dr. Suhardi Hardjolukito Yogyakarta. It was ast quantitative observational study with cross-sectional study. The data were collected from August 21 2016 until Septemberth 6 2016. The population of the study was taken from all outpatients of clinical laboratory in Air Force Hospital Dr. SuhardiHardjolukito Yogyakarta, by using simple random sampling. The data were collected by observing using check list,questionnaire, and document analysis with likert scale level measurement. The result of this study showed from 94respondents which were differentiated as five quality service dimensions of patient satisfaction: 88,3% for dimension ofreliability, 86,9% for dimension of quality assurance, 86,1% for dimension of empathy, 83,8% for dimension ofresponsiveness, 78,6% for dimensions of tangibles. Statistical analysis showed that there was a correlation betweenphlebotomy service and patient satisfaction (p < 0,1).

Abstract

Early menstruation in adolescents can be influenced by nutritional status and nutrients consumed by teenagers. This studyaims to determine the relationship of nutrient intake and nutritional status on the incidence of early menstruation at SMPN 1East Kabaena. This research is descriptive analytic with Cross Sectional Study. The population in this study were allstudents of SMPN 1 East Kabaena as many as 94 people. Sampling technique was purposive sampling. Data were obtainedusing a questionnaire and anthropometric measurements. Data were analyzed by using Chi-square test. Results show thatfrom 42 adolescents who consumed enough energy, there were 25 people (59.5%) experienced early menstruation, andfrom 38 adolescents who consumed less protein, there were 29 people (76.3%) experienced early menstruation. While the33 adolescents who consumed less fat, there were 25 people (75.8%) experienced early menstruation, and of 37 teenagerswho consumed more carbohydrates, there were 24 people (64.9%) had normal menstruation, while from 37 teenagers whohad over-nutrition status, there were 24 people (60.0%) had normal menstruation. The results show that there is arelationship between nutritional intake and nutritional status with the incidence of early menstruation in female students atSMPN 1 East Kabaena.

Abstract

In the world, the number of people with diabetes is estimated to 171 million people and is predicted to reach 366 million in 2025. The increase in DM patients, the diabetic ulcer complications have also increased, which is about 15% suffer from ulcers in the legs, and 12-14% including foot ulcers require amputation. The results of field studies showed that treatment of diabetic ulcers in hospitals prior to this innovation is to drape the foot side of the bed; stuck in bed with the coated; placed on crooked, and there are propped up with plastic basin. This causes the treatment time becomes longer, discomfort, fatigue and difficult during treatment of diabetic ulcers. Objective: Creating a tool that can be used for treatment of diabetic ulcers more effectively and efficiently, that is SIFOEDT (Simple Foot Elevator for Diabetic Ulcer Treatment). Methods: Quasi-experimental, with pre and post test without control group design, with a sample size of 30 respondents consisting of 15 respondents at Sleman District Hospital and 15 respondents at Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul. Sampling Technique used consecutive sampling. Results: Mean of ulcer treatment before using Sifoedt was 18.09 minutes, and after using Sifoedt was 12.62 minutes. Before using Sifoedt, majority (80%) said less comfortable, while after using Sifoedt majority (90%) said comfortable. The level of fatigue patients before using Sifoedt showed majority (86.7 %%) said fatigue, while after using Sifoedt majority (93.3%) said no fatigue. Conclusions: There are significant differences of diabetic ulcer treatment time before and after using Sifoedt (p = 0.000). There are significant differences in comfort of patients before and after using Sifoedt (p = 0.000). And there are significant differences in fatigue before and after using Sifoedt (p = 0.000).

Abstract

The existence of safe drinking water now begin to be limited in number, so that the existence of refill drinking water depotbecomes an alternative water treatment process, in principle, should be able to eliminate all kinds of pollutants, includingcoliform bacteria, which is a group of bacteria used as an indicator of pollution, waste and conditions which are not good forwater. This study aims to determine coliform bacteria contamination in refill drinking water depot in Poasia Kendari. The typeof research is descriptive analytic approach using MPN (Most Probable Number). These samples included 10 samples takenwith saturated total sampling method. Data were analyzed by using frequency distribution. The results showed that thesamples were positive in getting as much as 6 samples (60%) and over the limit contamination and negative samples ingetting as many as four samples (40%), so it can be concluded that from coliform bacteria identification of 10 samples of refilldrinking water in Poasia Kendari, 6 samples were identified contaminated with coliform bacteria and microbial contaminationwas over the limit of PERMENKES 492 / Menkes / Per / IV.2010.

Abstract

Soursop leaf tea is a beverage product that has a high antioxidant consistency, so that many benefits are obtained whentaking it. It can be a healthy alternative beverage by knowing the best processing method and the content of soursop leaves.Soursop leaf contains vitamin E of 12.05 g / 100gr, it also has other steroid / terpenoids, flavonoids, coumarin, alkaloids andtannins. Flafonoid has functions as antioxidant for cancer, anti-microbial, anti-virus regulator of photosynthesis and plantgrowth regulator. The highest nutrient the soursop leaf is vitamin E so it is beneficial for health. The purpose of this study is todetermine the best processing method and know the content of soursop leaf tea processing and this study aims to determinethe different variation in processing soursop leaf tea reviewed from the physical characteristic, the organoleptic characteristicand vitamin E of the product.This type of research was Random Simple (US) using two treatments, each treatment was done with twice repetition andthree times of the experiment so it had 18x experimental unit. The data of the physical characteristic were analyzeddescriptively and the organoleptic characteristic data were analyzed with the Kruskal-Wallis test while the data of vitamin Elevel were analyzed descriptively. The results of the physical characteristics showed that tea has dark brown color, distinctivearoma of soursop leaves and a very bitter taste. The organoleptic characteristic resulted the most preferred color was frombrewed soursop leaf tea, the best taste was from boiled soursop leaf tea and the most preferred aroma was from boilingprocess. The highest level of vitamin E was tea powder that had not been processed into drinks. The conclusion from thisstudy is the best variation of soursop leaf tea processing on the physical properties (color, aroma, flavor) organolepticproperties (color, aroma, flavor) and vitamin E is the boiling process.

Abstract

Contraceptive use is a problem that may contributes to maternal mortality. The rate of unmeet-need according to the 2012 Demographic Health Survey of Indonesia is 8.5%. The high unmeet-need for family planning services will likely lead to the incidence of unwanted pregnancy. Unwanted pregnancy in post-partum mothers will lead to a very short pregnancy spacing and likely lead to abortion complications. Yogyakarta City is an area with the least new and active family planning participants in the province of Yogyakarta Special Region, with the lowest percentage is in Umbulharjo I Primary Healthcare Centre by 1.63% and 72.49%. Meanwhile, antenatal class program in which one of the materials contains postpartum birth control has been implemented in all public health centers in Yogyakarta city, one of which is in Umbulharjo I Primary Healthcare Centre, in accordance with the guidelines for the implementation of the antenatal class. This research aims to identify the effects of participation in antenatal class on the time range of contraceptive use. It belongs to an observational analytical research with cross sectional design to 173 respondents taken using purposive sampling and analyzed using Chi-Square Test. Of the 173 respondents, it was found out that the majority of participation in pregnant women class did not meet the standard, numbering 109 mothers (63%) and the time range of contraceptive use was not according to the standard (> 42 days), numbering 96 mothers (55.5%). The results of analysis using Chi-Square test indicated p-value = 0.04 (p = <0.05). This research concludes that there is an effect of participation in antenatal class on the time range of contraceptive use at Umbulharjo I Primary Healthcare Centre of Yogyakarta in 2016.

Abstract

Satisfaction is a feeling or perception of patients arising from the health performance that occurs after the patient compared towhat to expect. The number of patients visited Dental Service Center at Petanahan Community Health Center Kebumen inOctober-November 2016 went up and down. This reaserch is aimed to know patients' satisfaction level at the Dental ServiceCenter at Petanahan Community Health Center, Kebumen. The type of research was descriptive research. The researchwas conducted at Petanahan Community Health Center, Kebumen. The number of samples was 40 respondents withdetermination of the sample by purposive sampling. Criteria of respondent were 20-45 years old, graduated from junior highschool (minimum), and willing to be the research respondent. The patients' satisfaction level research was conducted afterthe patient received dental and oral health care and completed a questionnaire containing 20 statements. The resultsshowed the satisfaction level of patients in the category of very satisfied as much as 26 respondents (65%). Patientsatisfaction level seen from the comfort dimension showed 60% of respondents are very satisfied, seen from the dimensionsof reliability and professionalism officials 70% of respondents feel very satisfied and seen from the dimensions ofresponsiveness and empathy 67.5% of respondents feel very satisfied. It can be concluded that the level of patientsatisfaction on Dental Service Center Puskesmas Petanahan Kebumen entered in the category very satisfied as much as 26respondents (65%).

Abstract

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) is a medium for the growth of fungi, ready to use, packaged in 500 gr, expensive, hard to find and takes a long time to obtain so it needs alternative media. SDA contains 4% glucose. The use of mung bean, red bean, cowpea and soy bean flour as culture media has never been done. The material contains high protein and high vegetable oil, allowing Aspergillusflavus to grow in it. The research aimed to know whether mung bean , red bean, cowpea, soy bean flour agar media may be used as culture media on the growth of Aspergillus flavus, and to know the diameter and color of colonies. Subjects were Aspergillusflavus fungus, inoculated in SDA media with incubation time 24 hours. Macroscopic shape: filamentous colonies, clear. Microscopic: insulated hyphae, branching, there are vesicles with conidia arranged like a fan. The object of the research are mung bean, red bean, cowpea, and soybean flour obtained from the manufacture of good quality peanut flour, whole seeds, not rancid, not wormy. Method: This research is an experimental study. The treatment was given to the independent variable and then measures the dependent variable. The result shows that mung bean, red bean, cowpea, soy bean flour agar media can be used as culture media on the growth of Aspergillusflavus fungus. Diameter of colony growth to five days on soybean flour agar medium was 7.1 cm, it was greater than red beans media 6.1 cm, mung bean media 6.7 cm and SDA 6.5 cm. Colony color on all media are white, turns yellow and then green and dark green until the end. It can be concluded that Aspergillus flavus fungus can grow on mung bean, red bean, cowpea, soy bean flour agar media with various diameters.
