Abstract

The Objective of this research is to analyze the competitiveness and the factors that influence Indonesia CPO export to China, Malaysia, and Singapore in the ACFTA. Revealed Comparative Advantage was used to analyze competitiveness in China, Malaysia, and Singapore. Panel data regression method with fixed effect (cross section weight) was used to analyze export supply model as an impact of ACFTA. The results shows that all dependent variables (domestic production of CPO), international price of CPO, price domestic of CPO, price of soybean oil, price of gasoline, exchange rate, lag of export, and dummy of ACFTA have the significant influence on CPO export to China, Malaysia, and Singapore.   Keywords: CPO, ASEAN-China, Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA)

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to (1) analyze profit and BEP of plasma farmers (2) analyze internal and external strategic factors that influence development of broiler partnership in PT. XYZ, (3) formulate the alternative strategies of broiler partnership in PT. XYZ, (4) formulate selected priority strategy to develop broiler partnership in PT. XYZ. This research uses descriptive method based on case study on broiler partnership in PT. XYZ. Based on BEP analysis, BEP (production) of plasma farmers is in the range 79,91%-86,58% from chick-in capacity, and BEP (price) is in the range of Rp 11.684 – Rp 12.191 per chicken on market price. PT. XYZ partnership’s position in IE matric was second quadrant (grow and builds). The results of SWOT analysis are: a) vertical integration strategy through feedmill, breeding and chicken slaughterhouse, b) improving production capacity through capacity building of plasma farmers, c) improvement in bio-security aspects of maintenance, and d) improving the quality of technical staff and improving supervision. The priority strategy from QSPM analysis is improving production capacity through capacity building of plasma farmers. The strategy to improve production capacity can be done by maximize or add their capacity, and add the new plasma farmers.   Keywords: Broiler Partnership, Internal Environment, External Environment, Internal-external, Improvement Priority

Abstract

  This study aims to determine an alternative subsidy model and distribution system of fertilizer in Indonesia. The purpose of the research in details are to create a framework of fertilizer subsidy policy, analyze factors that are affecting the fertilizer subsidy policy, and to select the best alternative subsidy model and distribution system of fertilizer. Analitical methods used to answer these purposes is by using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) which is also supported by literature study, focus group discussions and interviews with expert respondents. The result concludes that the conditions that affect fertilizer subsidy policy is the economic condition, The main priority of the fertilizer subsidy objective is availibility of fertilizer, the most prioritized fertilizer subsidy is the subsidy for inorganic fertilizer, Ministry of agriculture is the most important actors in the implementation of the fertilizer subsidy policy, and the most important factor considered in choosing a fertilizer distribution system is supervision. The choice of fertilizer subsidy policy in Indonesia is the indirect subsidy model through the manufacturer and its distribution system is conducted by the manufacturer to the farmer.   Keywords : Subsidy Policy, Fertilizer Subsidy, Fertilizer Distribution, ANP

Abstract

This study was designed to extend the Hersey and Blanchard's Situational Leadership Model to test the match of adaptability leadership style to the maturity level of subordinates using the LEAD-Self instrument and Readiness Scale of the Center for Leadership Studies. Maturity level of subordinate was analyzed based on the maturity level of employment (ability) and psychological maturity (willingness) to given work to subordinates. Also, to test compatibility with the leadership style with desired subordinates leadership style using LEAD-Other instrument. Leadership style is a combination of task behavior and behavioral relationships that will produce a directing coaching, participating delegating style. In addition, this study also tested the suitability of the existing organizational culture with the expectation organization culture. Effective matching leadership style and organizational culture is measured by the achievement of individual performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of matching between leadership style with the follower’s readiness level (X1), the leader's perceived leadership style with leader’s desired leadership style (X2), and the existing organizational culture with the expectation’s employees (X3) on the individual performance (Y1). The object of research was conducted at PT. Abstract

Financial recovery is the most difficult in financial management. Therefore, this is important to study how a company in financially-distress can survive to rise up to a healthy financial condition (emergence financial distress). The research consists of 200 non financial companies which are listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period of 2004-2008. This study focuses on management of working capital. How a company fulfill its current liabilities, and its sources in current assets which shall be cashed at the short term period. By using Multinomial logit, we analyzed the probability a financially-distress company rise up to emergence financial distress or stay of the status of financial distress and what are financial indicators affect to a company in the status of Non Financial Distress tend to Financial Distress. Thus, the important thing is to determine financial ratios which can be an indicator to determine of emergence financial distress. Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate evidence of market structure and to analyze market structure variables that influence bank revenue in the Indonesian banking market during the consolidation era. The Hirschman-Herfindahl (HHI) and Concentration Ratio Four (CR4) indices indicated decreasing trend and low level of market concentration. The test of market competition by using Panzar-Rosse approach at industry level indicating a monopolistic competition behaviors among banks. In addition,the market for interest-based income is found to be more competitive than that of for fee-based income. The study also suggest that during the consolidation period, input price of banks product seems higher. In addition, the study conclude that there is no indication of changes of the Indonesian banking market structure in the period of 1999-2009. The result of partial analysis also indicate a monopolistic competition behaviors among banks according to their ownership status. Accordingly, the market for non interest based income is found to be more competitive than that of interest based income for the Joint Venture Bank (Bank Campuran) and the Foreign Bank (Bank Asing).Keywords : Market Structure, HHI, CR4, Panzar and Rosse
