Abstract

Abstract - This research to seeing the effect of bread yeast (Saccharomyces cereviciae) in improving the respons non-specific immunity in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Tilapia with an average weight of 31.83 g is maintain in five aquariums with a density of 5 tails per aquarium. Fish fed with pellets mixed with breat yeast in accordance with the treatment of treatment A (control), treatment B (10 g / kg pellet), treatment C (20 g / kg pellet), treatment D (30 g / kg pellet) and treatment E (40 g / kg of pellets). Feed is given in accordance to the dose of 5% with the frequency of feeding 2 times a day ie Morning and Afternoon. The result of ANOVA show that giving bread yeast into pellet feed as much as 10 g had an effect on total leucocytes, phagocytosis activity and absolute growth. Abstract

Abstract - The use of medicinal plants as an anti-bacterial ingredient develops in line with increasing fish disease, Aeromonas hidrophylla is one of the bacteria causing dangerous diseases in freshwater fish cultivation. This research aims to know various kinds of gandarusa leaf extract in inhibiting bacterium Aeromonas hidrophylla, for get the proper dosage of the leaves of gandarusa in inhibiting the bacterium Aeromonas hidrophylla and to know the active compound contained in the leaves of gandarusa, this study used 3 treatments and 3 replications. The results of this study showed that the dried decoction of gandarusa leaves was able to inhibit the bacterium Aeromonas hydrophylla, a 1 g treatment is capable of inhibiting the bacterium Aeromonas hidrophylla with an inhibitory zone of 11.33 mm and the active compound contained in the leaf gandarusa are alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids and tannins. Based on the results obtained that the dried stew of gandarusa leaves able to inhibit the growth of Aeromonas hydrophylla bacteria. Abstract

Abstract - This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Nusa Cendana University, which aimed to find out the effect from difference volume substitution of water media on the survival rate of sangkuriang catfish larvae (Clarias gariepinus). The method used complete randomized design of with three treatments of water volume substitution that was A (25%), B (50%), C (75%) and control with three replications. The data were analyzed with variance (ANOVA) and continued with least significance different (BNT) test. The results showed that the water volume substitution of 25% had a significant effect on the survival rate of the larvae with 63.333% of survival rate. Abstract

Abstract - This study aims to determine the feasibility of seaweed cultivation with longline method in Kaliuda village, Subdistrictof PahungaLodu, East Sumba Regency.This research used interview method.Determination of the population in this study is the coastal communities who settled in the village Kaliuda work as farmers seaweed cultivation. The samples using proportional random sampling method by taking a sample of 20% of the total target population comprised 156 farmers cultivating seaweed by the longline method. Thus, the number of farmers are taken to be the respondent as many as 30 people.In this study using business analysis. Business analysis method consists of business income analysis, Benefit Cost Ratio (R/C) Analysis, Break Event Point Analysis (BEP), Payback Period (PP) Analysis. These results indicated that the cultivation of seaweed with longline methods in the village Kaliuda experiencing gains and deserves to be continued as a business.Revenue (TR) 8.427.333IDR/ year, total cost (TC) 5.125.200IDR/year has a profit of 3.302.133 IDR. Analysis of Benefit Cost Ratio (R/C) 2, Break Event Point Analysis (BEP) 512.5 kg and (BEP) 10,000IDR, Payback Period (PP) Analysis 1,6. Abstract

Abtract - This research aims to prevent, the effect of pomegranate extract in the treatment of Cantang grouper and the concentration of pomegranate extract which is appropriate to the survival rate of Cantang (Epinephelus sp) infected by V. alginolitycus. The method of this research is laboratory experiment using three treatments and each treatment is done by three replications, 5%, 10% and 15% of pomegranate extract concentration is done in BBIP Tablolong, Kupang Barat subdistrict, Kupang regency. The indicator used to determine the effectiveness of pomegranate extract is by measuring the haemotology and morphology of fish while the indicator to see the exact concentration of extract is to see the test fish synthesis. The results showed that giving of pomegranate extract had an effect on V. alginolitycus and treatment with concentration of extract 10% showed higher survival than other treatment. Abstract

Abstract - The aim of this study to know the growth of sparger of seaweed Sargasum sp on different substrate and which substrate spores of seaweed Sargasum sp can grow optimally. The method used in this research is experimental field using descriptive analysis in the from of quality and quantitative using three treatments on polybag medium is treatment A sand of 75% sand, and mud 25%, treatment B mud of 75% mud and sand 25%, treatment C sandy mud of 50% sand and 50% mud excuted at BBIP Tablolong, districts Kupang Barat, district Kupang. The results showed that sand substrate had more optimal growth compared to mud and muddy sand. Keywords : Substrate, Spore growth, Seaweed Sargasum sp.

Abstract

Abstract - This research aims to determine the effect of Garlic Extract and its maximum dosage on the healing rate and survival rate of mutilated mangrove crab. The method used in this study is laboratory experimental method using a complete randomized design with three treatments and three replications with extract concentration in treatment A (0.1%), treatment B (1%) and treatment C (10%). This research was conducted at the laboratory of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries of Nusa Cendana University, Kupang. The results shows that the application of garlic extract (Alium sativum) have an effect on the healing rate and survival rate of mutilated mangrove crab with optimal garlic extract concentration of 10% is capable of killing the bacteria that attacked the mangrove crab (Scylla serrata). It is recommended for further research to use 10% concentration to cure and increase the life rate of the mutilated mangrove crab. Keyword : Mangrove Crab, Mutilation, Garlic Extract.

Abstract

Abstract - This research has been conducted to determine the effect of different culture techniques (net pen culture techniques, racking techniques and raft techniques) on the growth and sulvival Atactodea striata (Polymesoda erosa) culture in the intertidal area. This research was conducted from April until June 2017, in Laterite village, Kupang Subdistrict. The experimental design used in this study was Randomized Block Design (RAK). Anova's results show that different culture techniques have a significant effect on the growth and length of Atactodea striata (Polymesoda erosa), where the net pen culture techniques get better length and weight compared to rack and raft techniques. The average length of growth in net pen culture technique (0.63 cm), rack technique (0.53 cm), and raft technique (0.37cm) where Fcount (8.17) > Ftable (5.14) (7,51 grams) and raft technique (6,54 gram) where Fcount (74,56) > Ftable (5, 5,54 gram) 14) at a significant level of 5%. Although different culture techniques have a marked effect on growth, it is not significantly different from the life of the Atactodea striata. Abstract

Abstract - Pumpkin seeds contain lots of vitamin E so it can be used as a supplement for the brood fish to improve the maturities gonad. This study used a pumpkin-seed flour added in to the feed (pellets) which aims to determine the index maturity of gonad (IMG) 0f lele sangkuriang (Clarias sp.), and the concentration of pumpkin-seed flour is effective against gonad maturity. The study was conducted for 2 months using completely randomized design (CRD) with the treatment of pumpkin seed concentration in the feed ie: 0, 100, 150 and 200 gram /kg of feed each treatment was repeated 3 times. The results shows that the highest IKG value was 5.7 (± 0.55) in treatment with 200 g / kg of feed compared with controls whose IGM value was only 2.6 (± 0.39), while treatment with 100 and 150 g / kg of feed obtained by IMG value 4,21 (± 0,89) and 44,98 (± 0,48). The data analysis, ANOVA, showed that the treatment hight significant (P˂ 0.01) on IMG.The study condution concluded that the addition of pumpkin-seed flour into the feed can increase the maturity of the gonad of lele sangkuriang. Abstract

Abstract - The study has been conducted in Batubao,west region of Kupang, for 3 mounths, to know the rates of E. cottonii growing and carragenan content by second pitch of seaweed reding. The second pitch seeds were the newtreatent that thalus was pitched out from two times 25 days cultivation of F2_seed. The rates of growing and carragenan production of F2_seed was companing to 45 days cultivation of sea weed, a conventional seed called control seed. Both of seed eas cultivated subseguently for 45 days. The results shows that the biomas of F2_seed treatment raise to 636±23,30 g and control are 617±23,97 g. The carragenan protection of F2_seed are 7,2% and control are 6,4%. The corelysion is growing and carragenan production of F2_seed treatment are higher them the conventional seed.
