Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare physical properties ciprofloxacin 500 mg coated tablet generic and trademark brand. The test include weight uniformity, tablet hardness, tablet friability, and disintegration time test. Descriptive experimental design (the one-shot case study) was used as study design. Samples were taken from three generic brands and three trademarks brand ciprofloxacin 500 mg coated tablets. Samples were produced by different factories and taken by simple random sampling method. The results showed that ciprofloxacin 500 mg coated tablets generic and trademark brand are comparable unless hardness of tablet.Keywords: Ciprofloxacin 500 mg, Physical Properties Tablet, Generic and Trademark Brand

Abstract

Escherichia coli producing Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamases (ESBLs) can turn off the cephalosporin third and fourth generation and monobactam (aztreonam). E.coli producers ESBLs who encoded by TEM genes can hydrolyzed ampicillin, cephalontin, and cephazolin. The purpose of this research is to identify the existence of TEM genes from some space at RSUD Dr. Sooetomo Surabaya which has never been previously reported. The kind of research that used is observational descriptive with the approach genetic molecule. About thirty isolate clinical E.coli ESBLs producers of urine patients in January and February 2014 done with amplification of PCR, electrophoresis, and the result visualized on agarose gel 1.5%. The result was ten isolates (30%) positively containing TEM genes and most common to find in the Interna Department.Keywords: ESBLs, Escherichia coli, RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya, TEM

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis can infect anyone in the patient's environment. Someone with good body immunity conditions will avoid tuberculosis. Increased immunity for tuberculosis sufferers is very important. The active substances contained in plants such as flavonoids and essential oils are important components in supporting the body's immunity. One plant that contains flavonoids and essential oils is kencur (Kaemferia galanga L.). This study aims to prove the potential of kencur extract as an immunomodulator in model rat infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This study was a laboratory experiment using the kencur extract (EK) and samples of rats as a model. The sample used was 30 animals which were divided into 6 groups. Group 1 was a healthy animal (Normal). Groups 2, 3, 4 and 5 were treatment groups consisting of sick animals given placebo treatment (control), rifampicin (R), EK (Kencur Extract) and CRK (Mixture of Rifampicin and Kencur). Group 6 was a normal group given EK then infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis (NK). Modeling was done by infecting experimental animals using Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The infection was 30 days and the treatment was 21 days. The parameters in this study were leukocytes and Laju Endap Darah (LED). The results of the kencur extract phytochemical screening study showed the presence of flavonoids. The results of the treatment showed that differences in the number of Leukocytes and LEDs between the control group and the treatment (sig 0.05). These results indicate that kencur extract has the potential as an immunomodulator.Keywords : Kaemferia galanga, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, imunomodulator

Abstract

The purpose of this research is determine the polyphenol content of various brand of packaged tea. Sample were used five sample. Polyphenol compounds of packaged tea were extracted using remaseration method with ethanol 70%. Qualitative test were used using FeCl3 reagent and quantitative test polyphenol content were determined using UV-Vis spectrophotometry method with Folin Ciocalteau reagent. Galic acid was used as comparator in this research. The result of qualitative test is all sample of brewed tea containing polyphenol. Abstract

Edamame seeds (glycine max (L) merr) is a soybean variety that is harvested while still young. Isoflavones present in soybeans such as deidzein, glycitein, and genistein have activity in inhibiting the tyrosinase enzyme to achieve skin lightening effects for skin whitening cosmetics. In this study the gel was formulated with HPMC (Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) 2%, 3%, 5% as a gel forming agent. Evaluation includes organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, and spreadability. The results of organoleptic evaluation of gel form in formula 1 fulfill the requirements, in formula 2 and 3 do not meet the requirements. The physical properties of the odor and color organoleptic formulas 1, 2, and 3 are eligible. in the homogeneity test of formulas 1, 2, and 3 are homogen. In the pH test formula 1,2,3 fulfills skin pH susceptibility pH 6. In the viscosity test of formula 1 250 dPa.S, Formula 2 500 dPa.S and formula 3 800 dPa.S.in the spread test of formula 1 it is 4.4cm, formula 2 is 3.8cm, and formula 3 is 3.7cm. From the results test of the Formula 1 (2% HPMC) meets all physical requirements of the gels.Keywords :Gel, HPMC, Sifat Fisik Edamame

Abstract

 Diarrhea is influenced by several factors, including environmental conditions, community behavior, community services, nutrition, population, education which includes knowledge, and socio-economic conditions. Diarrhea is defecation in the form of liquid more than three times in one day and lasts for two or more days. The cause of diarrhea is mostly due to infection.Prevention of diarrhea that can be done is to continue breastfeeding, formula milk, and solid baby food, give ORS or sugar-salt solution to replace lost fluids, give foods that contain fiber, and give zinc for 10 consecutive days.The purpose of this study was to determine the level of mother's knowledge of the use of zinc in toddlers with diarrhea in Karang Pring RW 01, Sumber Jeruk village in the realm of knowing, understanding, and application. The method used is descriptive method with cross sectional analysis research design. In this study, the researcher used a validated questionnaire instrument. The sampling technique used total sampling and obtained 44 samples.Based on the results of data analysis, it was obtained that the percentage level of mother's knowledge on the use of zinc in toddlers with diarrhea in Karang Pring RW 01, Sumber Jeruk village for the July 2021 period in the tofu domain was 64.6%, the understanding domain was 74.2%, and in the application domain 72.7 %. The conclusion in this study is that the realm of knowing is categorized as sufficient, the realm of understanding is categorized as sufficient and in the realm of application it is categorized as sufficient. Keywords: Knowledge level, Diarrhea, zinc

Abstract

Usia balita terutama pada usia 1-5 tahun merupakan masa pertumbuhan yang cepat baik fisik maupun otak. Sehingga memerlukan kebutuhan gizi yang paling banyak, pada masa ini anak sering mengalami kesulitan makan, apabila kebutuhan nutrisi tidak ditangani dengan baik maka akan mudah terjadi Kekurangan Energi Protein. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh status gizi terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan balita usia 1-5 tahun di PAUD candijati. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 15 balita, dalam pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 15 balita. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner KPSP kemudian dianalisis dengan uji chi square. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik dengan menggunakan chi-square didapatkan nilai sell yang memiliki nilai expected kurang dari 5 adalah 6 sell (100%), sehingga tidak memenuhi syarat untuk dilakukan uji chi-square (jumlah sell dengan nilai expected kurang dari 5 tidak boleh lebih dari 20%), sehingga di gunakan uji exact dari fisher atau disebut juga fisher exact test. Dengan menggunakan software analisis statistik didapatkan hasil nilai value = 2.315 dan nilai sig.=0.5. Dengan demikian karena nilai sig. (0.5) α (0.05) maka H0 di terima, artinya tidak ada pengaruh status gizi terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada balita usia 1-5 tahun di PAUD Candijati.Diharapkan kesadaran petugas kesehatan untuk memberikan penyuluhan sangat berperan dalam mengubah perilaku masyarakat dalam menurunkan angka kejadian Kekurangan Energi Protein.Kata Kunci : Kejadian Kekurangan Energi Protein, Perkembangan Balita Usia 13 Tahun

Abstract

The N-(4t-Butylbenzoyl)-p-Aminophenol compound was a synthesis compound between p-aminophenol and 4t-Butylbenzoyl chloride by using H2SO4 catalyst. The addition of H2SO4 catalyst purposed to accelerate the rate of rection in the synthesis of the compound and increased yield of product. The N-(4t-Butylbenzoil)-p-Aminophenol compound is beneficial as an antiinflammatory analgesic. This research were proposed to determine characteristics of the anti-inflammatory analgesic synthesis of N-(4t-Butylbenzoyl)-p-Aminophenol compound by using H2SO4 catalyst. Characterization conducted in this research were physical and chemical characterization. The physical characterization were organoleptic test, crystal form test and melting point test. While chemical characterization were UV-Vis spectrophotometry and FTIR. Result of organoleptic test showed sample had powder form, white-gray colour and not taste. Melting point of N-(4t-Butylbenzoyl)-p-Aminophenol compound was 193.33 °C. The optimum wavelength of UV-Vis spectrophotometry got 2 peaks at the wavelengths 290 and 295 nm. The result of FTIR showed that N-(4t-Butylbenzoyl)-p-Aminophenol compound had peaks.Keywords: N-(4t-butyl benzoil)-p-aminophenol, catalyst

Abstract

Pharmacy is one of the health service place that has product and service activities that are highly dependent on patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction can be used as a benchmark for companies to develop their business in the future. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services at Kimia Farma Pharmacy Talangsari Jember. The type of this research was qualitative descriptive using cross sectional study. The population were patients who came to buy prescription or non-prescription drugs at the Kimia Farma Pharmacy Talangsari Jember in June 2020 with a total samples of 100 patients. The result showed that patient satisfaction to the services at Kimia Farma Pharmacy Talangsari Jember were quiet satisfied in reliability dimensions (60%) and tangible dimensions (55%) also in responsiveness dimensions (48%) and less satisfied in empathy dimensions (54%) and assurance dimensions (41%). Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian: Bakteri yang beresiko menyebabkan infeksi adalah E. coli. penyakit yang dapat disebabkan oleh bakteri ini adalah penyakit diare, pneumonia, infeksi saluran kemih. Penelitian lain menunjukkan adanya aktivitas antibakteri pada daun mangga karena mangga memiliki senyawa kimia metabolit sekunder mangiferin yang terbukti memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Mangga yang digunakan pada pennelitian ini adalah mangga Podang yang merupakan salah satu tanaman endemik di Indonesia yang tumbuh di Kediri Jawa Timur. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri dari ekstrak metanol daun mangga podang (M. indica L.) terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli. Metode Penelitian: Daun mangga podang (Mangifera indica L.) dimaserasi dengan pelarut metanol. Uji aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi disk atau kertas cakram dengan konsentrasi 6,25%, 12,5%, 25%, 50%, serta kelompok kontrol positif (kloramfenikol) dan kontrol negatif (DMSO 10%) dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Hasil dan Kesimpulan: Ekstrak metanol daun mangga podang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri E. coli dengan diameter zona hambat pada konsentrasi 6,25%, 12,5%, 25%, 50% yaitu sebesar 13,5 mm, 16,5 mm, 19,1 mm, 22,5 mm. Analisa data menggunkan Uji Kruskal-Wallis, Hasil analisa memperoleh nilai signifikan 0,006. Ekstrak metanol mangga podang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli.Kata kunci: Mangga Podang, Mangifera indica L, Escherichia coli, Antibakteri
