Abstract

Soil is a material consisting of mineral grains bonded to one another. Soil itself has various types. One of them is clay. Clay soil is microscopic soil particles that come from weathering rocks. The water content in clay tends to be high so it has a low bearing capacity. In addition, it also has a high shrinkage. Therefore, the management of clay soils must be handled properly. The method used is Gradation Sieve, Liquid Limit, and Plastic Limit. These three methods are considered suitable for conducting tests on clay samples. From these tests, obtained D10 values of 0.14, D30 of 0.5 and D60 of 1.6. And the results of the calculation of Cu and Cc obtained the values of Cu 4 and 1 Cc 3 so that the soil is classified into the GC group (well granded gravel with clay). For the results of the liquid limit test (LL) on the soil samples that have been studied, the average liquid limit value of 25 strokes is 41.12%. For the results of the plastic limit (PL) test on the soil sample, the plastic limit value of 32.42% was obtained. And the results of reducing the liquid limit with the plastic limit obtained a plastic index value of 8.70% so that the soil is included in the criteria for low plasticity index.

Abstract

Bengkulu City is one of the cities of Bengkulu Province. Bengkulu is classified as big city in terms of number of population with 374.694 people. Increasing number of populations effected the needs of water as basic necessity. However, enlargement of water needs contradictive with amount of water on global. The reduction in water catchment areas and the amount of pollution decreasing water that is suitable for consumption. Hence, this research aims to predict future water needs as a measure to anticipate a shortage of water supply. Forecasting of the amount of water demand in this study uses a descriptive quantitative method. The result shows the amount of water demand discharge in 2031 is 28.218 Litre/second. So, the amount of discharge of water demand in 2031 will increase by 0.61% from 2021.

Abstract

The Wawotobi Irrigation Area on the Left Intake (Wawotobi Weir) has been equipped with a sediment catchment building but still has problems that occur routinely, namely sedimentation in irrigation canals, sedimentation results in changes in canal dimensions resulting in reduced canal capacity, decreased quality of water flowing in canals, and causes not optimal the function of the existing irrigation structures along the wawotobi irrigation area. The research study location is in the Langgonaweeha Secondary channel which is part of the D.I. Wawotobi, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The purpose of this study was to analyze the predictive value of the sediment yield that occurred in the Langgonaweeha Secondary Canal. The results of the analysis obtained the value of the average value (SY) of sediment yield of 0.0000000153 ton/ha/year. Whereas for the calculation of each Langgonaweeha Secondary canal section it is known that on the BBg3-Blg1 section it is obtained at 0.000012313 tons/ha/year and on the BLg1-BLg2 section it is obtained at 0.000017755 tons/ha/year, while on the BLg2-BLg3 section it is obtained at 0 .0000161075 ton/ha/year, then the prediction (SY) of sediment yield in the Langgonaweeha Secondary canal is 0.00000513060 ton/ha/year while the yield value of sediment in the Langgonaweeha Secondary canal is 0.001872673 per year. By recapitulating the average total volume of sediment, it is necessary to transport or dredge sediments so that long-lasting deposition does not occur which causes sagging and dimensional changes in the Langgonaweeha Secondary Canal.

Abstract

The precast concrete supply chain has a long process and timeframe which often becomes an obstacle in its implementation. Like what happened to PT. X which is one of the precast concrete industrial companies located in the city of Semarang. In the supply chain work method at PT. X implements a make-to-order (MTO) system in which precast products will begin to be produced if they have received direct orders from consumers so that the finished time of precast products can adjust to the time of project implementation in the hope that the products are still in new and good condition. Long supply chain processes often cause problems or risks in their performance. To be able to find out what risks arise in the process of supply chain stages, it is necessary to have a risk analysis in the supply chain of the precast concrete industry. Risk analysis is carried out by first identifying the risks that may arise, then calculating the analysis by multiplying the probability and the impact of the risks that arise. Probability value and risk impact on PT. X was obtained from the results of questionnaires and interviews conducted with all employees. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the risk with the highest level is the "critical" level, namely at the "return" stage with the chance of returning the product to the factory due to precast products arriving with conditions not according to the standard order. Risk handling is carried out by "avoiding risk", namely by accepting the risk and immediately to be reproduced.

Abstract

One of the areas in Jambi City that experience drainage system problems are the Telanaipura area, precisely on Jalan Kapten Pattimura. The area around the research site is a densely populated area and there are several shopping centers, restaurants, and a fairly high road user. When there is a large rain or rain for a long enough time, this area is often flooded with water as high as 0.2 - 0.8 meters which can cause quite a lot of losses for local residents and also for business owners in the area. From this, it can be said that the drainage channel at this location is less than optimal for collecting and draining rainwater discharge. In this case, it is necessary to conduct a study of hydrological analysis and hydraulics analysis of the drainage channel which is useful in helping to solve the problems that occur. This study used hydrological data in the form of monthly rainfall for the past 10 years and the geometry of secondary drainage channels on Jalan Kapten Pattimura Telanaipura. The method used in this study is in the form of hydrological analysis with the maximum rainfall method, gumbel, and calculation of plan discharge with a rational method. This Hydraulic analysis carried out uses the help of the HEC-RAS program to simulate the discharge of water flow in the drainage. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the secondary drainage channel of Jalan Kapten Pattimura, Telanaipura District, Jambi City, cannot accommodate the flow discharge of the plan for periods 2, 5, and 10 years. This is due to sedimentation, high rainfall, suboptimal drainage channels in accommodating flow discharge, and the presence of piles of garbage. The solution to this problem is to deepen the dimensions of the drainage channel by 40–135 cm deep.

Abstract

The location estuary of the Bogowonto river is very strategic because it is on the west side of YIA airport (Yogyakarta International Airport). The condition of the Bogowonto river will directly affect the airport, especially related to flood conditions. The construction of an estuary is necessary to maintain sediment transport so that sediment buildup does not occur flooding. One of the constructions at the estuary to prevent this is the construction of a jetty. The use of jetty constituent elements can withstand seawater abrasion. Concrete is an alternative that is used with the consideration that it can control the shape, compressive strength, and weight. The elements that make up this jetty are in the form of blocks and tetrapods with a certain weight. The research was carried out by analyzing the work of tetrapod concrete as a constituent of jetty construction. Limited workplace conditions for storage and production require a proper cycle from production and storage to installation. The research was conducted by direct observation in the field and interviews with the work executors. The results of field observations obtained work methods carried out by executors by circulating concrete production with two methods, namely concrete with the addition of addictive materials and without the addition of additives. This additional material accelerates the concrete's initial compressive strength so that the concrete mold can be immediately opened and used again.

Abstract

Soil is the most important thing in development in the field of civil engineering. The bearing capacity of the soil is the ability of the soil to accept and withstand the load transmitted to the soil so that the structure above it does not fail due to poor soil structure. Wood sawdust is a waste of wood industry which has fiber where the fiber can increase the bearing capacity of the soil. This study used sawdust as an additive to the soil with the aim of increasing the carrying capacity of the soil by conducting experiments in the laboratory. This study uses several variants of the percentage of wood sawdust on resistance. The variants are native land, 18%, 20%, 22%, and 24% of 100% of the total percentage of land. From the results of research that has been carried out, it is obtained that the original soil properties index value is 35.89% water content, 2.68 specific gravity, 34.21% PI and soil filter analysis passes filter no.200 95.28%, then based on the uscs soil classification system classified as CH soil: inorganic clay with high plasticity, fat clay, the UCST test on the original soil yielded a value of 2.15 and for soils with a mixture of wood sawdust 2.90 kg/cm2 at a variation of 18%, 3.51 kg/cm2 at a variation of 20 %, 3.27 kg/cm2 at 22% variation, 3.02 kg/cm2 at 24% variation, which shows that there is an increase in UCST value from each variation, but the highest peak occurs at 20% variation.

Abstract

Reservoir Boulevard is part of the flood control system in the city of Kendari, like other areas in Indonesia. Wanggu Reservoir is located in Lepo Lepo Village, Baruga District, Kendari City. The reservoir has a storage volume of 267.142m3. danluas DAS wanggu 348,75 km2. This flood control reservoir functions to accommodate flood overflow from the Wanggu River when it rains with high intensity. So in this study to determine the capacity of the reservoir capacity from year to year, a design rain analysis was carried out with return periods of 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 years. It is necessary to analyze the design rainfall to find out whether the reservoir can reduce flooding for up to 100 years or not. In the rain analysis this plan uses the log person type III method and the flood discharge analysis uses the Rational Method. From the research results, it was found that the flood discharge with a return period of 100 years is 9,670m3/the.
