A pandemic is a disease outbreak that appears simultaneously in various places. WHO said that a pandemic is a term used when an increase in disease transmission and the spread of a virus occurs suddenly and spreads in various countries and can affect many people. not only disturbing health, but also impacting the economic order of all countries. The impact of the pandemic on the economy can lead to low investor sentiment towards the market, which ultimately turns the market in a negative direction. It was also mentioned that the pandemic made economic growth slow down. This was triggered by the policy of social restrictions and regional quarantine. So that economic activity becomes hampered. The pandemic that has occurred since March 2020 has caused the economy to plummet that year. This can be seen from the growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which was recorded -2.07% in 2020. In the previous year GDP still grew up to 5.02%. Not only the world economy experienced a decline, but also small traders felt it. a resident of the city of Tebing Tinggi who is a home-cooked rice seller who feels the impact of the covid-19 pandemic. To increase his income, the home-cooked rice seller also needs a solution, where the practitioner also provides a solution that will be offered. The stage used is the intervention stage at the micro level namely the stage of case work from Skidmore Thackeray and Farley in Adi (2005: 149) which consists of the research stage, the assessment stage, the intervention stage, and the termination stage.

Circulation of drugs is currently very widespread in all circles, both the old and the young, which causes damage to the morale of a person and the nation. Narkoba stands for narcotics, psychotropics, and other illegal drugs. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia then introduced another term, namely, NAPZA which stands for narcotics, psychotropics, and addictive substances. Narcotics/Narcotics Crime is a crime that has entered the Disaster phase in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to find out how evaluations can be carried out in handling drug addicts at the Mitra Sehat Community Foundation. Psychological evaluation is a way to assess and learn about the soul, both about various symptoms, processes and backgrounds. The Social Work Method is a work procedure that must be used in helping and dealing with victims of drug abuse. This practicum aims to find out and examine the problems experienced by addicts so that they can fall into drugs. This type of research uses the Casework method by Zastrow, which is divided into 4 stages, namely; Research Stage, Assessment Stage, Intervention Stage, and Termination Stage. The theory that underlies social casework is basically derived from the theory that underlies social work, as well as various other theories about humans and humanity, namely the dynamic psychology of personality development, personality structure and functions. Every addict has a lot of problems and of course different. Therefore, students take one of the residents to be a client in overcoming the problems faced by the client. Students also make several activities that later can help residents in the problem solving process, such as Master Chef Cooking Competitions, Building an Outdoor Reading Garden, Playing Games, and Morning Gymnastics.

Technological advances have made the ability to speak English very important. This is because the use of English is no longer just for greeting, but also for other needs to support activities. Even if you don't have plans to travel or study abroad, English is still a priority to learn. Because, now the world has entered a digital era filled with advances in information technology. The digital era makes the world seem borderless because of the distance and time that seem to be connected via the internet. Not a bit of information in cyberspace is presented in English, this is what makes the ability to master one of these international languages very important to have. By having an English qualification that is recognized worldwide, the opportunities in the future will be wide open. However, there are still many Indonesians who have low English skills, especially those from underprivileged groups such as orphans. Therefore, this practical activity is a very targeted thing to do. The process of providing assistance is also carried out in street vendors' mini project activities, using the casework method through the general intervention stage consisting of Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination. The focus of the client's problem solving process is learning to write, read and memorize as a jointly designed strategy to increase the client's interest in learning. The objectives of this program were also stated to be achieved, as evidenced by the increased enthusiasm for learning and the client's greater curiosity about all kinds of knowledge. In addition, there was an increase in their reading and speaking skills and their motivation in learning English. In addition, this program also provides benefits for both parties who participate socially and educationally. This means that there is a positive impact after the implementation of this program.

The author did practicum I at the AMAL Foundation/Social Washliyah Orphanage. The first practicum carried out by the author was to examine the problems experienced by orphans. After the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia starting in early March 2020, which has begun to subside, it is currently having a significant impact on various aspects of Indonesian people's lives. Not only on the economic, health, work aspects, but also on the norms of decency and politeness of children. The current era is facing the covid 19 pandemic and the new normal era, many millennial parents do not realize the importance of speaking and speaking well when in front of children when staying at home. In fact, providing examples of good language and speaking ethics can increase the value of a child's self-decency. From this problem, the writer is interested and has a goal to improve the character of good manners in children. This time, PKL 1 was carried out using the casework method through a general intervention stage consisting of Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination. After doing all the casework stages, the results are faced by the author so that the orphans continue to apply the values of courtesy wherever they are.

This study aims to increase children's self-confidence and interest in learning with motivation and appreciation. This research was conducted at the Karya Betzy Indonesia Foundation Orphanage. The subjects in this study were the children of the Karya Betzy Orphanage, totaling 43 children. This type of research is a qualitative research. The data collection technique in this research is observation. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are in the form of a humanitarian project which is the topic of community service carried out at the Karya Betzy Indonesia Foundation Orphanage as a form of student service to provide knowledge that is beneficial to the surrounding community. Activities carried out include socialization, education, motivation and appreciation which will later change the mindset of the children who live in the Karya Betzy Indonesia Orphanage so that they can increase their self-confidence and motivation to learn so that they receive more knowledge. only in the orphanage or at school.

The author did practicum 1 at the North Padang Lawas Social Service Office. While doing activities at the office, the author did a mini project with children sitting in elementary school. This paper intends to review the problem of lack of interest in learning by elementary school students and their solutions. Interest in learning is a very important factor in student success. Because, the role of interest is very big influence on a person's willingness to accept and do an action. If students' interest in learning begins to decline, it can be ascertained that the students concerned are less enthusiastic in participating in a series of learning activities, both in class and at home. Therefore, with an interest in learning students will be able to understand and do assignments with enthusiasm. The solution offered in practical activities is to invite children to study together and provide advice or motivation. The stages used in the micro-level social intervention are the case work stages by Zastrow which consist of: Engagement, assessment, planning/planning, intervention, evaluation and termination.

Communication skills are the main skills that must be possessed by everyone in order to be able to build healthy relationships with anyone and anywhere we are. However, communication skills will be difficult to improve if they are not trained with the right methods, especially for children. Therefore, the author uses the role-playing method to improve the communication skills of one of the children at the Mercy Clement Indonesia Orphanage. In general, the role-playing method is a form of educational game that aims to make someone appreciate and feel the way of thinking of others. This study aims to see how the implementation of the role-playing method in improving communication skills, and the impact of using this method on 10-year-old orphans. Based on the results of data analysis, the role playing method in this study can be used as a solution in solving children's communication problems. The research findings show that the role playing method is very effective in improving the communication skills of orphans at Mercy Clement Orphanage.

Interest in reading has a big influence on children's success so it needs to be grown from an early age. Parents must get used to and direct their children regularly to read a lot for themselves, then in the child will grow the habit of becoming an early reader who has a natural interest in reading. For this reason, this interest in reading needs to be instilled in children from an early age. Reading is considered as one of the success of a child in learning. Increasing interest in reading is done from an early age to provide children with real experiences. In increasing interest in reading, a method that can be used is needed to increase children's interest in reading. The method chosen is the method of learning while playing. The purpose of this study is to increase children's interest in reading by using the learning while playing method. This research is an experimental and observational research. The population in this study were all children of Sanggar Pelita members on Jl. Bangun Sari, Kel. Kedai Durian, Kec. Medan Johor, Medan City with 15 children as the sample in the age group of 6-13 years. The results showed that the students' interest in reading after the application of the learning while playing method was better than before. With these results, it is concluded that the learning while playing method is effective in increasing students' reading interest in children aged 6-13 years.

The world of education today is influenced by progress of technology and internet. One of the technologies and the internet that engage in education is online learning. Online learning as an intermediary between educators and students with a supportive internet network, a wide range of media used as online learning as research subjects, for example: WhatsApp, Zoom Meet, Google Classroom, YouTube. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness in the use of technology and the internet as a medium for learning. The method used in this article is to collect question and answer data to the informants, namely students through interviews. The results of the study concluded that overcoming learning difficulties did require the use of technology and the internet as learning media.

Rehabilitation is an important step to restore addicts to be productive and useful in society. Drug users who enter the rehabilitation center mostly experience low self-esteem and lack of a positive outlook on life, many of whom end up unable to carry out their social roles and social functions. Following the drug rehabilitation process is not everyone's dream, but unlike those who are already tired of their addiction, a rehabilitation center is the final choice to get out of addiction. This journal discusses the process of what activities are contained in one of the drug rehabilitation centers in the city of Medan, using the therapeutic community method in the rehabilitation process and how a drug addict can escape from the trap of opium and become a new person when completing the rehabilitation process. As well as the recovery programs provided by the center. The writing of this journal uses a casework method that emphasizes direct research on the object under study. Coupled with a mini project that involves a resident in the recovery proces.
