Abstract

Recovery is a process that a drug addict must go through if he wants to be completely cured of his addiction. Recovery does not mean just stopping using (drugs), recovery must be understood as the creation of a new lifestyle, thus it will be easier for someone to decide not to use (drugs) again. In recovery there are three things that must be considered, namely avoiding high-risk situations, learning how to relax, and telling the truth. Recovery demands total honesty, that is, if you want to recover, you have to be one hundred percent honest with the people who support you, such as family, doctors, therapists, etc. If you can't be honest with them then the recovery won't go well. Being totally honest means not giving his addictive nature a place to hide. If you lie, it means you have opened the door for relapse. An opportunity to change life can be seen as an opportunity to change life. Changing lives is what makes recovery difficult but also profitable. Recovery is difficult because a person has to change his or her life, and all changes are difficult, even if it turns out to be good. Recovery is beneficial because a person gets the opportunity to change his life. If we take the opportunity to change, then we will look back and reflect on our addiction as the one good thing that ever happened in life. In recovery, people often describe themselves as grateful addicts. Why should someone be grateful to have experienced an addiction because starting from that addiction they are then helped to find the peace and serenity that many people seek. Recovery (recovery) can encourage a person to change his life.

Abstract

Learning is a process or effort made by each individual to get changes in behavior, both in the form of knowledge, skills, attitudes and positive values. However, not every individual has interest and seriousness in the learning process. This is due to several factors including the learning process that is too monotonous so it is not interesting and there are also external or environmental influences. A comfortable and good environment will support learning activities, but on the contrary if the environment is not good it will affect children's interest in learning. A lack of interest in learning was also experienced by one of the children in the NGO Community Care for Children (KOPA) where he needed help to increase his interest in learning and his confidence. The provision of assistance to children was carried out in Mini Project activities during the implementation of PKL 1, using the casework method through the general intervention stage consisting of Engagement, Intake, Contract; assessment; planning; intervention; evaluation; and termination. The focus in solving client problems is the application of fun learning methods to increase interest in learning and confidence in children. The purpose of this program was stated to be achieved, it can be seen from the increased enthusiasm for learning and also increased confidence in clients.

Abstract

In general, there are still many drug addicts who do not know that what he is doing is wrong, because what he has done has harmed himself and others. Most residents have not accepted themselves, they are undergoing rehabilitation but not sincerely, they have not accepted their current situation. Therefore it is important to foster a sense of self-acceptance in drug addicts. Self-acceptance is a positive attitude towards oneself, being able and willing to accept oneself, both strengths and weaknesses, so that they can see a more positive future. Self-acceptance can be formed, self-acceptance can also be increased, so that they can accept the reality that is happening in their lives. through counseling guidance, self-acceptance can be grown in a drug addict. The TC (Therapeutic community) method is an effort for intrapersonal recovery of drug abusers to improve individual social functioning through individual strengthening carried out in rehabilitation centers by fostering a sense of self-acceptance and self-confidence, emotional management, behavioral pruning, self-discipline through a series of therapeutic activities and programs that are run, using the TC (Therapeutic Community) method, addicts can work together to foster a sense of self-acceptance because the TC concept, which is helping others, means the same thing. don't help yourself.

Abstract

Behavior is everything that is said or done by someone in the form of actions that can be measured, noticed and assessed, then an act that is done consciously or not. Cognitive theory is an indirect means of measuring what is seen as a very important factor in behavior. The cognitive approach describes that an individual's behavior is very dependent on the way the individual recognizes social situations. In addition, the behavioral influence of cognitive theory also supports children in learning through Youtube media, making it easier for children to repeat lessons that have been taught at school. Based on the case that I observed at the Ora Et Labora Nusantara Orphanage, there was a child who needed help in the form of support to increase self-confidence in learning and behaving towards the surrounding environment. In this Practicum I I provide assistance in the form of stages including the Engagement, Intake, Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination Stages. The main purpose of Practicum I is to provide solutions to client problems by applying child behavior with cognitive theory and supporting learning through YOUTUBE media.

Abstract

Learning is important for everyone in order to open their minds to be able to face various kinds of changes and challenges in the future, learning is also important for everyone, both children and adults. For children, learning may be something they think is boring, because at that age they have not found the motivation related to the importance of learning and because this lack of motivation causes their basic ability to learn to be low, they need to strengthen special motivation in order to grow their enthusiasm for learning. This is what happened to one of the children in Sanggar Pelita, the child needed to strengthen his motivation to have enthusiasm and interest in learning, the strengthening process was also carried out in the Practicum I mini project activity, using the casework intervention method by Skidmore who consists of several stages such as assessment (Assessment Phase), Program Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination. From the results of this research or practicum, it is hoped that it will have an impact in the form of increasing both interest and ability in children's learning.

Abstract

To increase a child's knowledge, education must be taught from an early age. Learning is defined as all activities carried out by each individual so that their behavior is different after the learning process. By playing, children express themselves without being forced with feelings of pleasure. Playing can provide many benefits to their development and channel their energy also discover new things. Both learning and playing are things that naturally all children should be able to experience. Every child would be happier if they could learn activities while playing. Learning while playing expects them to be able to create results for good development. To achieve the personal development needs of children at the LSM KOPA Jl. Syah Bandar No.23, A U R, Medan Maimun, Medan, Sumatera Utara, learning while playing activities are carried out which aims to help children achieve the goal of being able to learn and also play at the same time. It is also expected to be able to educate how important it is to fulfill learning and play activities for children's personal development needs.

Abstract

Mental health problems have become unresolved health problems in the midst of society, both at the global and national level. Especially in the Covid-19 Pandemic period, mental health problems will be increasingly severe to be resolved. The 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), showed that more than 19 million people aged more than 15 years experienced mental emotional disorders, and more than 12 million people aged more than 15 years of depression. One Heart To Empower Foundation (Yasam) is a social rehabilitation that focuses on dealing with drug problems and mental health problems. This foundation is located on Jalan Bunga Rampai IV, Simalingkar B, Kec. Medan Tuntungan. In the patient healing process, Yasam uses therapeutic Community method. In its application, one of the methods included in Therapeutic Community is by entering spiritual values. On this occasion the praktikan applied learning in the form of making calligraphy letters to one of the Muslim patients. This activity aims to make patients suffering from hearing hallucinations can prevent the disorder and restore focus on her.

Abstract

Creativity is something that is usually needed by someone in doing a job, including producing work. Creativity is also the skill of determining new ideas by looking at the subject from a new perspective and forming new combinations of two or more concepts in mind. Many children do not understand what creativity is, especially the children of the Rapha-El orphanage. Since the pandemic period, the process of teaching and learning activities in schools is very limited, namely only through online so that students often find it difficult to develop talent and creativity. carried out with the casework method through a general intervention stage consisting of Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination. The focus of the client problem solving process is the use of fun and unique learning for the formation of the client's creative personality. It is hoped that after doing the practicum at the Rapha-El orphanage, the children are expected to be able to understand and understand that creativity is important in life, especially in early childhood because it can make people more productive.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a psychological condition that encourages a person to carry out learning activities. Motivation is one of the important factors that affect learning and learning outcomes, but the strength and weakness of a person's motivation is different, it is influenced by several factors such as ideals, student conditions, environmental conditions. From this motivation will encourage a child to continue to learn in order to achieve the expected goals, namely achievement in learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the learning motivation of children with a broken home background and the factors that influence it. This research was held at the Child Care Community (KOPA) Medan City. In the context of activities PKL I mini-project. The data collection method in this study used observation and in-depth interviews with the subject in question. The results showed that the subject of AI had poor learning motivation, as evidenced by the low motivational aspects of AI learning. This is evident from the low level of Navy attendance at schools. The truant behavior carried out by the Navy is caused by internal factors and external factors from the Navy itself. External factors that make the reason for AL skipping classes are subjects that they are not interested in or do not like. While the internal factor is from the Navy itself. Low motivation Also encouragement from family is one of the strongest internal factors that makes AL often skip school. The purpose of this program is stated to be achieved, this can be seen from the growth of learning motivation in order to increase the enthusiasm for learning and also increase the confidence of the client.

Abstract

English As a foreign language, our ability to master English is very important in this four point zero era because English is not only used in education, but also in the world of work. However, we know that many Indonesians have low English skills, especially those from underprivileged groups such as orphans, abandoned children, children with disabilities (ADK). Many of the children at the Sinar Damai Sejahtera Orphanage are interested in learning English, but the unfavorable conditions for them, the very expensive English course, becomes an obstacle for them. Therefore, the Field Work Practice which has been carried out for 3 months is very useful for them to be able to learn English without having to pay any fees. The program intervention used in this PKL activity is the Community Intervention proposed by Zastrow which consists of: Intake, Assessment and Intervention Planning, Member Selection, Group Development, Evaluation and Termination. There has been an increase in reading and speaking skills in English with many positive impacts after this program.
