Abstrak: Saat pandemi COVID-19 semua masyarakat di Indonesia mengalami guncangan ekonomi, tentunya hal ini sangat berdampak buruk bagi masyarakat terutama masyarakat kalangan bawah yang sangat merasakan imbasnya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan serta keterampilan pada kelompok kecil di Jl. K.H.A. Karim gg. Dipo Lk.V Kota Binjai. Tentunya hal ini sangat bermanfaat bagi kelomok kecil yang terdiri dari mahasiswa dalam membuat kreativitas buket snack karenanya dapat menambah penghasilan. Anggota kelompok kecil ini terdiri dari tiga mahasiswa yang berasal dari Universitas yang berbeda, tetapi mereka memiliki tujuan yang sama yaitu menambah pemasukan untuk membayar uang kuliah dan memenuhi kebutuhan lainnya. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode praktik pekerja sosial menurut Zastrow yaitu, dengan level intervensi mezzo, serta menggunakan unit intervensi kelompok dan metode intervensi groupwork secara umum dan group therapy. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian ini akan digunakan untuk tambahan membayar uang kuliah bagi anggota kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari tiga mahasiswa tersebut, dan bukan hanya keuntungan uang saja kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari mahasiswa ini dapat diketahui bahwa anggota kelompok kecil ini mendapatkan untung seperti keterampilan mereka yang semakin handal dalam membuat buket snack dan semakin kereatif dalam membuat buket snack.Abstract: During the COVID-19 pandemic, all people in Indonesia experienced economic shocks, of course this had a very bad impact on the community, especially the lower class people who really felt the impact. This service aims to provide training and skills to small groups on Jl. K.H.A. Karim gg. Dipo Lk.V Binjai City. Surely this is very beneficial for a small group consisting of students in the creativity of making snacks because it can increase their income. The members of this small group consist of three students who come from different universities, but they have the same goal of increasing income to pay tuition fees and meet other needs. This service uses the practice method of social workers according to Zastrow, namely, with a mezzo level of intervention, and uses group intervention units and general groupwork intervention methods and group therapy. The results of this service will be used to pay additional tuition fees for members of the small group consisting of three students, and it is not only financial gain. This small group consisting of students can be seen that members of this small group get benefits such as their increasingly reliable skills in making a snack bouquet and creative improvement in making a snack bouquet

This study aims to describe the social network owned by migrant farm workers in Kelurahan Gundaling I Kecamatan Berastagi Kabupaten Karo in facing difficult times. This research method is descriptive qualitative with life story case studies. The main informants in this study were three migrant farm workers who had worked as farm laborers and resided in Gundaling I Village, Berastagi District, Karo Regency for at least 5 years and had a family, the key informant in this study was the head of the Gundaling I Village and additional informants were elders in Gundaling I Village. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show how a broad social network can help in dealing with difficult times, and good social network relationships can result in a patron-client relationship.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the low level of political participation of PKH Beneficiary Families with disabilities in the 2019 Langkat Regency Legislative Election and what are the factors behind the low political participation of PKH Beneficiary Families with disabilities in the 2019 Langkat Regency Legislative Election. This research method is descriptive qualitative, by presenting the facts found comprehensively through in-depth analysis. While the data analysis technique consists of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that there were still many KPMs with disabilities who did not participate in the election, only 5 KPMs with disabilities took part in the 2019 legislative elections out of 13 KPMs with disabilities who met the requirements. The factor that causes it is minimal accessibility from both the organizers and the family, including not being registered in the DPT (permanent voter list) because it is not listed in the KK.

The purpose of this study is to find out the subjective reasons of motorists in traffic who commit traffic violations, such as violations of traffic signs, violations of traffic light, violations of vehicle completeness and violations of driver's equipment. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research technique was carried out by studying literature, interviews, documentation, and observation. The results of the study, the reason for the driver to commit a violation is situational, the encouragement from an urgent situation and rushing in chasing time makes the driver do it. The second reason is individual, namely the encouragement from within oneself, such as a hobby of making modifications that are not up to standard. It would be nice for every motorist to obey the rules in traffic, not because of the guard from the police, especially the traffic police, but should have self-awareness.

Creativity is something that is usually needed by someone in doing a job, including producing work. Creativity is also the skill of determining new ideas by looking at the subject from a new perspective and forming new combinations of two or more concepts in mind. Many children do not understand what creativity is, especially the children of the Rapha-El orphanage. Since the pandemic period, the process of teaching and learning activities in schools is very limited, namely only through online so that students often find it difficult to develop talent and creativity. carried out with the casework method through a general intervention stage consisting of Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination. The focus of the client problem solving process is the use of fun and unique learning for the formation of the client's creative personality. It is hoped that after doing the practicum at the Rapha-El orphanage, the children are expected to be able to understand and understand that creativity is important in life, especially in early childhood because it can make people more productive.

English As a foreign language, our ability to master English is very important in this four point zero era because English is not only used in education, but also in the world of work. However, we know that many Indonesians have low English skills, especially those from underprivileged groups such as orphans, abandoned children, children with disabilities (ADK). Many of the children at the Sinar Damai Sejahtera Orphanage are interested in learning English, but the unfavorable conditions for them, the very expensive English course, becomes an obstacle for them. Therefore, the Field Work Practice which has been carried out for 3 months is very useful for them to be able to learn English without having to pay any fees. The program intervention used in this PKL activity is the Community Intervention proposed by Zastrow which consists of: Intake, Assessment and Intervention Planning, Member Selection, Group Development, Evaluation and Termination. There has been an increase in reading and speaking skills in English with many positive impacts after this program.

Literacy activities are becoming increasingly vital and are being implemented on a large scale. Literacy is defined as the capacity to read and write in general. Literacy, on the other hand, is more than just reading and writing; it also encompasses the ability to utilise knowledge sources in print, visual, digital, and auditory formats. Early childhood is the most essential stage for the creation of children's knowledge and conduct, so literacy activities must begin then. Children have a good recall at this age because their personalities are undeveloped, making it simple for them to get caught up in behaviors that are common in everyday life. As a result, PKL I was carried out at the Sinar Damai Sejahtera Orphanage Foundation in order to help one of the children who lacked interest in reading and learning develop a literacy culture from an early age. The micro intervention method is used in the helping process (case work). As indicated by the rise of children's excitement for learning and interest in reading, the goal of this activity was reported to be met.

Education is a right that must be obtained by every child without any exceptions. Fulfilling the needs of children is not that easy, because not all children are born in a family that is financially and physically capable of meeting all the needs of their children, some children are born from underprivileged families so that they cannot meet the needs of children, especially in the field of education. These limitations encourage children to experience parenting in an orphanage which is an alternative to child care. at the Orphanage it has not been maximized because the same thing often happens at the Sinar Damai Sejahtera Orphanage Foundation where the children there need help to be able to solve children's problems in the field of education including there are children who cannot write, do not know numbers and the biggest for reading. This problem can arise because of the lack of donors and the children in the orphanage get love because of the lack of caretakers of the orphanage. Various kinds of problems can be overcome in PKL 1 Activity by using the social casework method. Which consists of the stages of engagement, intake & contract, assessment, planning, intervention and termination.

Based Program for International Student Assessment ( Bisa) survey, it was released that Indonesia was ranked 72nd out of 77 countries for the student ability category. It is at number 371 for the reading category, and compared to Malaysia which is at number 415. It is at number 379 for mathematics and 396 for science, and compared again with Malaysia, namely at number 440 and 438. Therefore I am motivated to solve problems that arise The problems faced by Rapha'El Simalingkar orphanage children are the lack of interest in learning because they think learning is a boring activity. As well as the target to be achieved, namely increasing interest in learning for the children of the Rapha'El orphanage so that they know how much impact or benefit this learning has. So the solution offered in this field work practice is the provision of motivation and interesting and not boring learning sessions. The Intervention Program used in this Field Work Practice 1 activity is a micro-level intervention (casework) consisting of; Engagement/Intake and Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation and Termination.

The author did practicum I at the AMAL Foundation/Social Washliyah Orphanage. The first practicum carried out by the author was to examine the problems experienced by orphans. After the emergence of the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia starting in early March 2020, which has begun to subside, it is currently having a significant impact on various aspects of Indonesian people's lives. Not only on the economic, health, work aspects, but also on the norms of decency and politeness of children. The current era is facing the covid 19 pandemic and the new normal era, many millennial parents do not realize the importance of speaking and speaking well when in front of children when staying at home. In fact, providing examples of good language and speaking ethics can increase the value of a child's self-decency. From this problem, the writer is interested and has a goal to improve the character of good manners in children. This time, PKL 1 was carried out using the casework method through a general intervention stage consisting of Engagement Intake Contract, Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation, and Termination. After doing all the casework stages, the results are faced by the author so that the orphans continue to apply the values of courtesy wherever they are.
