Abstract

IMPROVING STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES THROUGH DISCOVERY LEARNING MODELS ON ONE VARIABLE LINEAR EQUATION MATERIALS IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS (SMP NEGERI 8 KOTA BOGOR)Learning outcomes and students' understanding of the concept of One Variable Equation in Junior High School (SMP Negeri 8 Kota Bogor). is still low. For this reason, it is necessary to apply learning models which are the main contributors that need to be considered in order to improve student learning outcomes. The research was carried out in junior high schools (SMP Negeri 8 Kota Bogor) and aimed to (1) improve student learning outcomes, (2) find out whether Discovery Learning is the right learning model for Mathematics Subjects with Single Variable Linear Equations, (3) determine the magnitude of the increase in student learning outcomes , which is measured as the percentage of the number of students who get a score of 76 or meet the minimum standard of completeness criteria. The results showed that using the Discovery Learning model could significantly improve student learning outcomes in junior high schools (SMP Negeri 8 Kota Bogor). Student learning outcomes increased after using the Discovery Learning model to 70.59% in the first cycle and 100% in the second cycle. The application of this Learning Model makes learning materials more interesting and the classroom atmosphere more pleasant for students, and in the end can increase students' understanding of the material and students' values in evaluation. Therefore, the researcher recommends the use of the Discovery Learning model in learning Mathematics in schools within the Bogor City Education Office.

Abstract

APPLICATION OF THE NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER (NHT) COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' LEARNING OUTCOMES IN MATHEMATICS SUBJECTS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS (SDN CIBULUH 6 KOTA BOGOR)This research departs from the phenomenon that occurs in the classroom that the students' understanding and learning outcomes are low in mathematics learning about comparing and sorting fractions. Therefore, a teacher needs to consider learning strategies so that they can improve student learning outcomes. This research was carried out in Class IV of Elementary School (SD Negeri Cibuluh 6) and aimed (1) To find out the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects about comparing and sorting fractions in class IV A Elementary School (SD Negeri Cibuluh 6). (2) To define the process of improving student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects about comparing and sorting fractions after using the Numbered Heads Together learning model. (3) To measure the magnitude of the increase in student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects about comparing and sorting fractions after using the Numbered Heads Together Type of Cooperative learning model. The results of this study indicate that using the Numbered Heads Together Cooperative learning model can be a fun variation of learning for students so that it is proven to improve student learning outcomes. Before the Numbered Heads Together Type Cooperative learning model, student learning outcomes only reached an average value of 66.15 then there was an increase after using the Numbered Heads Together Cooperative learning model to 74.61 in cycle 1 and 81.79 in cycle 2. Research results concluded that the use of the Numbered Heads Together Cooperative learning model which is adapted to the learning material can create a pleasant learning situation so that there is an increase in student learning outcomes. Therefore, the researchers suggest that the use of the Numbered Heads Together Cooperative learning model is socialized and used as an alternative in learning mathematics in schools within the Bogor City Education Office.

Abstract

IMPROVING THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH A SCIENTIFIC LEARNING APPROACH IN CRAFT SUBJECTSThe purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes regarding the Processing of Animal Husbandry and Fishery Products in Craft subjects through the use of a Scientific Learning Approach. This research was conducted in a junior high school (SMP Negeri 19 Bogor City) with the research subjects being students of class IX.F. The method used is a classroom action research method which consists of two cycles. In the first cycle, the learning is carried out using the Scientific Learning Approach, while in the second cycle, the Scientific Learning Approach has been refined. Each cycle consists of four stages of research, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research data were analyzed using comparative descriptive followed by reflection. Comparative descriptive is done by comparing the initial condition data, cycle 1 and cycle 2, both for learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that: First, the use of the Scientific Learning Approach can improve student learning outcomes about the Processing of Foodstuffs from Animal Husbandry and Fisheries in Craft subjects. It is proven that the percentage of student learning outcomes has increased from the initial condition the average daily test score of 63.69 in the first cycle to 72.88 and in the second cycle to 78.16 or in the final condition it increased by 22.7% from the initial condition. . It is proven that the percentage of student learning mastery increases from the initial condition of 64.52% in the first cycle and becomes 93.55% in the second cycle or in the final condition, an increase of 44.99% from the initial condition.

Abstract

IMPROVING THE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ABOUT PROCEDURE TEXTS THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF THE MAKE A MATCH LEARNING MODELThis research departs from the phenomenon that occurs in the classroom that the low quality of Indonesian language learning can have an influence on student learning outcomes. Therefore, a teacher needs to consider a learning model that is in accordance with the learning material so that it can improve student learning outcomes. One of the learning models tested through this research is the Make a Match learning model. The research was carried out in class 7F of SMP Negeri 14 Bogor City in Semester I of the 2019/2020 Academic Year and aimed to (1) find out the Make a Match learning model can improve student learning outcomes about procedural texts, (2) describe the process of improving student learning outcomes about procedure text after applying the Make a Match learning model, (3) measuring the magnitude of the increase in student learning outcomes about procedure text after applying the Make a Match learning model The results of this study indicate that the application of the Make a Match learning model about procedure text in class 7F of SMP Negeri 14 Bogor before applying the Make a Match learning model had an average score of 68.94. When learning was changed by applying the Make a Match learning model, the average student learning outcomes increased to 78.24 in the first cycle and 86.12 in the second cycle. It was concluded that the application of the Make a Match learning model used by the teacher could improve student learning outcomes, therefore the researcher suggested that the application of the Make a Match learning model should be socialized and used in Indonesian language learning in schools within the Bogor City Education Office.

Abstract

THE USE OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODELS ON THE MATERIAL OF LINEAR EQUATIONS OF TWO VARIABLES TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMESThis study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in determining the value of the variable value of a linear equation of two variables in a real context, as well as the activeness of students in the learning process using the ProblemBased Learning model. The research was conducted at State Junior High School 5 Bogor City involving 35 students in grade 8-C. The research method used is descriptive analytic through Classroom Action Research with data collection techniques using multiple choice tests and observation of student activity. The results of the study using the problem-based learning model can increase the average student learning outcomes from 64.71 to 72.71 in the first cycle and 81.86 in the second cycle. The percentage of students' complete learning outcomes also increased from 34.29% to 62.86% and increased again to 100%. Students are also involved in the learning process by listening to teacher explanations, being active in groups, actively asking questions, and doing teacher assignments. Learning with problem-based learning models provides opportunities for students to find solutions to the problems given so as to improve learning outcomes and student activity.

Abstract

The study was conducted in class 7D of Junior High School (SMP Negeri 14 Bogor City) Semester I of the 2019/2020 Academic Year, with the aim of (1) knowing that the discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes about linear equations of one variable, ( 2) describe the process of improving student learning outcomes about one variable linear equation after applying the discovery learning model, (3) measuring the magnitude of the increase in student learning outcomes about one variable linear equation after applying the discovery learning model. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model about the linear equation of one variable in the 7D class of Junior High School (SMP Negeri 14 Bogor City) before applying the Discovery Learning learning model has an average value of 69.41. When the learning was changed by applying the Discovery Learning learning model, the average student learning outcomes increased to 77.06 in the first cycle and 85.53 in the second cycle. From the description above, the researcher concludes that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model used by the teacher can improve student learning outcomes, therefore the researcher suggests that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model needs to be socialized and used in learning Mathematics in schools within the Bogor City Education Office.

Abstract

USE OF DOLI CARD LEARNING MEDIA TO IMPROVE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' LEARNING OUTCOMES IN ELECTRICITY LEARNINGThe purpose of the study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes about electricity in class IX.G through the use of Doli Cards. This research was carried out in a junior high school (SMP Negeri 19 Bogor) in the 2019/2020 school year with the research subjects being class IX.G students. The method used is a classroom action research method which consists of two cycles. In the first cycle the learning was carried out by using Doli Cards in groups without a list of questions, while in the second cycle the use of Doli Cards in groups was accompanied by a list of questions. Each cycle consists of four stages of research, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research data were analyzed using comparative descriptive followed by reflection. Comparative descriptive is done by comparing the initial condition data, cycle 1 and cycle 2, both for learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that: First, the use of Doli Cards can increase students' activities and learning outcomes about electricity in Natural Science subjects in class IX.G. It is proven that the percentage of students in the good learning activity category increased from the initial condition in the first cycle of 62.50% to 84.15 in the second cycle or in the final condition increased by 21.75% from the initial condition. Second, the use of the Doli Card can improve student learning outcomes about electricity in science subjects in class IX.G. It is proven that the percentage of student learning mastery increases from the initial condition of 18.75% to 8556.25 in the first cycle and becomes 93.75% in the second cycle or in the final condition, it increases by 75% from the initial condition.

Abstract

Therefore, a teacher needs to consider an effective and fun learning model so that it can improve student learning outcomes. One of the learning approaches that was tried through this research was the application of the Pair Exchange learning model. The research was conducted in class IIIA of SDN Kampung Sawah, Bogor City and aimed (1) to find out through the Pair Exchange Learning Model that it can improve students' learning outcomes about Explaining the Nature of Counting Operations on Whole Numbers in Mathematics subjects (2) To describe the Pair Exchange Learning Model about Explaining the Properties of Counting Operations on Whole Numbers in Mathematics (3) To measure how much increase in student learning outcomes about Explaining the Properties of Counting Operations on Whole Numbers is applied after the Pair Exchange Learning Model is applied in Mathematics The results of this study indicate that by using the Pair Exchange learning model especially about Explaining the Properties of Counting Operations on Whole Numbers in class III A at SD Negeri Kampung Sawah, Bogor City, the average student learning outcomes increased to 71.43 in Cycle I and 96.43 in Cycle II. From the description above, the researcher concludes that the Pair Exchange learning model applied by the teacher can improve student learning outcomes, therefore the researcher suggests that the use of the Pair Exchange learning model be socialized and used as an alternative in learning Mathematics in schools in the Bogor City Education Office.

Abstract

IMPROVING STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES USING THE JIGSAW LEARNING MODEL ON THE MATERIAL DEPENDENCE BETWEEN SPACES AND ITS EFFECT ON THE WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SMP NEGERI 8 KOTA BOGOR)The low learning outcomes of students in Social Science subjects, especially the material about interdependence between spaces and their influence on the welfare of society in grade 9C of SMP Negeri 8 Bogor, is the problem behind this research. In the learning process, students lack concentration and are motivated so that they have difficulty in receiving the material presented. This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes about interdependence between spaces and their effect on people's welfare after using the Jigsaw learning model; describe the process of improving student learning outcomes about the interdependence between spaces and their effect on the welfare of society after using the Jigsaw learning model; This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles where in one cycle consists of two meetings. The results showed that by using the Jigsaw learning model there was an increase in student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the completeness of learning outcomes. After using the Jigsaw learning model in the first cycle, the completeness of learning outcomes achieved was 84.85% or as many as 28 people. In the second cycle of learning using the Jigsaw learning model has reached / exceeded completeness because 100% of students have scores above the KKM. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the use of the Jigsaw learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students in grade 9C at SMP Negeri 8 Bogor in social studies subjects, especially on the material about interdependence between spaces and their influence on people's welfare.

When learning was changed by applying the Problem Based Learning model, the average student learning outcomes increased to 77.21 in the first cycle and 84.48 in the second cycle. From the description above, the researcher concludes that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model used by the teacher can improve student learning outcomes, therefore the researcher suggests that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model needs to be socialized and used in social studies learning in schools within the City Education Office.
