Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of improving employee discipline, work climate and work motivation on improving the performance of employees of regional device organizations in Bogor Regency. The research population is the executor in the Human Resources Staffing and Development Agency and the Bogor Regency Regional Secretariat as many as 290 people with a sample size of 169 people calculated using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%. Data collection for each variable studied using questionnaires with a rating scale. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistical analysis techniques. The data analysis in this study used the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS SEM) method. The results showed: (a) Employee discipline variables have a positive and significant influence on motivational variables. (b) Employee discipline variables have a positive and significant influence on performance variables. (c) Work climate variables have a positive and significant influence on motivational variables. (d) Work climate variables have a positive and insignificant influence on performance variables. (e) Motivational variables have a positive and significant influence on performance variables. (f) The magnitude of the coefficient of parameters for discipline variables on performance through motivation is 0.054 which means there is a positive indirect influence of discipline on performance through motivation. Or it can be interpreted that the higher the value of discipline, the performance through motivation will increase as well. (g) The magnitude of the coefficient of parameters for the working climate variable on performance through motivation is 0.278 which means there is a positive indirect influence of discipline on performance through motivation. Or it can be interpreted that the higher the value of the work climate, the performance through motivation will increase as well.

Abstract

Efforts to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Understanding the Intrinsic Elements of Short Stories Through the Jigsaw Method in Bogor Junior High School Students This study aims to identify and describe the increase in Literature Learning Outcomes in Understanding the Intrinsic Elements of Short Stories through the Jigsaw Method for Junior High School Students. The background problem is that students' ability to understand short stories is still not good. This problem can be reduced by using the Jigsaw method. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in two cycles by taking the setting at Junior High School Students (SMP Negeri 1) Bogor City class IX-E with a total of 37 students as a sample. The sample was given a test instrument listening to the reading of short stories in order to obtain an intrinsic element appreciation test score. The conclusion of this study is the average ability of students in Pre-Cycle 57. In Cycle I the level of achievement was still low with an average score of 71 and the number of students who completed 22 people so that the percentage of completeness only reached 71%. In Cycle II it was classified as good with an average score of 82 and the number of students who completed reached 28 people so that the percentage of completeness reached 87%. This proves that there is an increase in the ability to understand the intrinsic elements of short stories through the Jigsaw method. This means that the Jigsaw method is relatively effective in an effort to improve the ability to understand the intrinsic elements of short stories that are read to class IX-F students of Junior High School Students (SMP Negeri 1) Bogor City.

Abstract

IMPROVING LEARNING OUTCOMES OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS USING PICTURE AND PICTURE LEARNING MODELS ON MATERIALS IDENTIFYING GEOGRAPHICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF INDONESIA AS AN ARCHIPELAGIC/MARITIME AND AGRARIAN COUNTRYAbstract. This research departs from the phenomena that occur in the classroom that the students' understanding and learning outcomes are low on the sub-themes of humans and the environment about identifying the geographical characteristics of Indonesia as an archipelagic/maritime and agrarian country. Therefore, a teacher needs to consider learning strategies so that they can improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the Picture and Picture learning model can improve student learning outcomes, to describe the process of improving student learning outcomes, to measure the magnitude of the increase in student learning outcomes in the subject matter of Social Sciences sub-theme of humans and the environment about identifying the geographical characteristics of Indonesia as an archipelagic country/maritime and agriculture in grade V Elementary School. The results of this study indicate that using the Picture and Picture learning model can be a fun variation of learning for students so that it is proven to improve student learning outcomes. Before using the Picture and Picture learning model, student learning outcomes only reached an average value of 63.68 then there was an increase after using the Picture and Picture learning model to 72.35 in cycle 1 and 81.18 in cycle 2. It can be concluded that the use of the learning model Picture and Picture fun so that there is an increase in student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended that the use of the Picture and Picture learning model be socialized and used as an alternative in learning Social Sciences in schools in the Bogor City Education environment.

Abstract

Supervision in schools is carried out by the principal who acts as a supervisor, so he must be able to carry out various supervision and control to improve teacher performance. Supervision and control are preventive measures to prevent teachers from making deviations and to be more careful in carrying out their work as educators. Therefore, this study revealed the supervision activities carried out by the Principal of SD Negeri Rancamaya 02 Kota Bogor. The results of this study are: 1). The focus of supervision activities carried out by the principal can be identified in two ways, namely; supervision activities involving the administration of teachers and teaching and learning activities, 2). Supervision activities are very helpful for teachers in solving educational problems faced by teachers when doing learning, and can provide motivation for teachers to always improve their knowledge to become professional teachers in carrying out learning, 3). Barriers to school principals in supervision are overlapping activities and limited operational funds.

Abstract

ANALYSIS OF TUTORING STUDENTS HAVING DIFFICULTY READINGAnalysis of Student Guidance with Difficulty Reading. Qualitative research with a descriptive study approach. Thesis of Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pakuan University, Bogor, 2020. The objective is to describe the forms of learning difficulties to read, factors of reading difficulties and tutoring for students with reading difficulties. The subjects of this study were 3 students of class IIIA IIIB Cimayang State Elementary School 01. The research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2020-2021 school year. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interview and documentation methods. Researchers used credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests to obtain data validity. The results showed that the form of reading difficulty students could not distinguish letters that were almost the same shape, students did not recognize diphthong and digraphs, students stammered reading syllables, students could not read words, could not pronounce letters in one sentence and still spell letters. The factors that cause student reading difficulties are students lack of interest in reading, the family environment lack of parental attention to their children's learning activities at home, lack of enthusiasm for students in learning, teaching methods and media used by teachers when the teaching and learning process is inadequate does not vary, disturbances in health. Guidance for students having difficulty learning to read at SD Negeri Cimayang 01 is still not optimal. The role of the school in providing guidance for students with difficulty learning to read is also not optimal. In addition, the ability of students to have difficulty learning to read in overcoming their learning difficulties is still lacking.

Abstract

APPLICATION OF EXPERIMENTAL METHODS ON MATERIAL STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF PLANTS AS AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE LEARNING OUTCOMES OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTSThis research is motivated by learning outcomes in science subjects achieved by students of class VIII Junior High School, the results of the material structure and function of plants are unsatisfactory, there are still many students' scores that are still below the Minimum Completeness Criteria. This could be due to the teacher still using the lecture method at the time of learning. Another cause of time constraints causes learning to refer to the transfer of knowledge to pursue curriculum targets. This research is classroom action research with the model of Stephen Kemmis and Robbin Mc Taggart. After doing research actions, it can be concluded that the ability of students to solve problems on the material structure and fungi of plants through the use of experimental methods can actually increase the interest, enthusiasm, concentration, and activeness of students in the learning process. In addition, there is also an increase in learning outcomes in the form of an increase in the average value of the class and an increase in the percentage of students' learning completeness individually and classically for students. Thus, based on the results of this study, it was concluded: 1) the use of experimental methods can improve student learning outcomes, 2) the use of experimental methods in learning makes students not bored and bored on the contrary feel happy so that their learning activities increase, this is evident in the seriousness aspect There was an increase in the percentage of students in taking lessons from the first cycle to the second cycle, namely 82% in the first cycle to 95% in the second cycle, and 3) learning mastery increased, at the pre-cycle time 56.25% after using the experimental method increased in the first cycle to 75.00% and the first cycle to 100.00%.

Abstract

IMPROVING TEACHER COMPETENCE IN APPLYING INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY IN THE LEARNING PROCESS THROUGH IN HOUSE TRAINING IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS (SMP NEGERI 9 BOGOR)Based on the results of observing the ability to use computers for 42 teachers at SMP Negeri 9 Bogor, the results obtained were that 17 teachers were still not able to use computers, 25 teachers were able to use computers. Departing from these problems, the implementation of In-House Training is to help improve teachers' abilities in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In House Training (IHT) is needed to improve the ability of these teachers. The research was conducted using the School Action Research method. The results of the study show that teacher competence in applying ICT through In House Training can actually increase teacher interest, enthusiasm, concentration, and activeness in the learning process. In addition, there has also been an increase in teacher competence in applying ICT in the form of an increase in average scores and an increase in individual and classical abilities for teachers at SMP Negeri 9 Bogor. Thus, based on the exposure of this research, it can be concluded: 1. the implementation of In House Training can increase the competence of teachers in applying ICT, 2. the implementation of In House Training makes teachers not bored and bored instead they feel excited so that their learning activities also increase, this is proven to aspects of the seriousness of teachers in participating in IHT activities there was an increase in the percentage of teachers from cycle I to cycle II, namely 78% in cycle I to 84% in cycle II, and 3. the large increase in ability that can be achieved through In House Training activities in applying ICT is in initial conditions have an average value achieved only 33.35. When the In-House Training was carried out, the average teacher's ability increased to 48.94 in cycle 1 and 61.12 in cycle II.

Abstract

IMPROVING STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN CLASS 11 FASHION DESIGN FOR VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS (SMK NEGERI 3 KOTA BOGOR) THROUGH A PROJECT BASED LEARNING MODEL ON SKIRT DESIGN ACCORDING TO THE COLLAGE CONCEPTThe purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes regarding Skirt Design material according to the Collage Concept of the Fashion Design subject in class 11 Fashion Design-2 Vocational High Schools through the use of the Project Based Learning Model. The research subjects were students in class 11 Fashion Design-2 consisting of 34 female students. The method used is a class action research method consisting of two cycles. In the first cycle, learning is carried out using the Project Based Learning Model, while in the second cycle, it uses an enhanced Project Based Learning Model. In each cycle consists of four stages of research namely planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. The research data were analyzed using a comparative descriptive followed by reflection. Comparative descriptive is done by comparing the initial condition data, cycle 1 and cycle 2, both for learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that: First, the use of the Project Based Learning Learning Model can improve student learning outcomes about Skirt Design material according to the Collage Concept in the Fashion Design subject in class XI Dressmaking-2 Vocational High School. It is proven that the percentage of student learning outcomes has increased from the initial condition the average value of daily tests was 66.18 in cycle I to 75.21 and in cycle II to 81.32 or in the final condition there was an increase of 22.88% from the initial condition. It is proven that the percentage of students' learning completeness increased from the initial conditions of 73.53% in cycle I and to 91.18% in cycle II or in the final conditions an increase of 24.00% from the initial conditions.

Abstract

IMPROVING LEARNING OUTCOMES OF GRADE 8 JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SMP NEGERI 19 BOGOR) STUDENTS THROUGH THE USE OF PhET VIRTUAL SIMULATION MEDIA IN VIBRATION SUBJECT MATTER OF NATURAL SCIENCE LESSONSThe purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes regarding the subject matter of Vibration of Science in class VIII of SMP Negeri 19 Bogor City Even Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year through the use of PhET Virtual Simulation Media. The method used is a class action research method consisting of two cycles. In the first cycle, learning was carried out using the PhET Virtual Simulation Media, while in the second cycle, the enhanced PhET Virtual Simulation Media was used. In each cycle consists of four stages of research namely planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. The research data were analyzed using a comparative descriptive followed by reflection. Comparative descriptive is done by comparing the initial condition data, cycle 1 and cycle 2, both for learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that: First, the use of PhET Virtual Simulation Media can improve student learning outcomes about Vibration material in science subjects in class VIII. It is proven that the percentage of student learning outcomes has increased from the initial condition the average daily test score was 68.91 in cycle I to 75.37 and in cycle II to 82.29 or in the final condition it increased by 19.42% from the initial condition. It is proven that the percentage of students' learning completeness increased from the initial condition of 61.11% in cycle I to 91.67% in cycle II or in the final condition it increased by 50.01% from the initial condition.

Abstract

In general, this study aims to find ways and strategies to improve purchasing decisions so that they can be input and recommendations for related parties, namely Rodalink Jakarta and consumers. The method used in this study is a survey method with a correlational approach. Information from the survey results was collected from respondents using a questionnaire for all variables, both the Purchase Decision (Y), Product Quality (X1), Price Perception (X2), and Customer Satisfaction (Z) variables. The population in this study is a member of the Polygon Xtrda Indonesia Community Jakarta totaling 278 people. The sampling technique in this study used a proportional random sampling technique using the Slovin formula with an error margin of 5%, a sample of 165 people. Data processing in this study used descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis with a correlational approach. The results obtained that Product Quality has a direct and very significant positive effect on Purchase Decisions through Customer Satisfaction so that strengthening Product Quality through Customer Satisfaction can indirectly improve Purchase Decisions with a beta value of 0.190 while the indirect effect of Product Quality on Purchase Decisions through Customer Satisfaction namely: 0.190 x 0.093 = 0.018 then the total effect given is: 0.190 + 0.018 = 0.208, this shows that Product Quality indirectly significantly influences Purchase Decisions through Customer Satisfaction.
