Abstract

Physics learning in the classroom has a number of challenges, including a reliance on the Direct Instruction (DI) model, a lack of innovation on the part of the teacher, and a high student paradigm of memorizing formulas. As a result, The DI model currently in use is still centered on teachers who employ the lecture technique and do not fully engage students in the learning process. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a learning model that encourages students to be more active and to be more directly involved in the learning process in order to overcome these difficulties. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning method in improving physics concept understanding 9th grade students of SMP N 23 Malang. This quantitative research design was using the Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design, in the research design both the control class and the experimental class were applied and only the experimental group received X treatment. The research population was all 9th grade students of SMP N 23 Malang. The sample collection technique used by the researcher is the Cluster random sampling technique. The finding reveals that the CLIS learning model has a significant effect on comprehending the concept of Physics in magnetic materials, as evidenced by the Pretest and Posttest results ranging from 47,83 to 80,16 on the Pretest and Posttest. In addition, the results of the Effect Size test, which obtained a result of 1,05, demxnstrate the validity of the findings.

Abstract

Biology is one of the subjects in the science specialization. Opinions from students stating that biology is the easiest subject among science specialization subjects. However, some students have difficulties studying biology for a variety of reasons, including the teacher's teaching style, the student's learning style, the students' unfavorable opinion of the course, and a lack of learning materials. This study aims to find out the student's perception of biology learning at Kepanjen Islamic senior high school. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample in this study was class X students with the sampling technique carried out by proportioned stratified random sampling. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. The score from the questionnaire data is calculated by percentage statistics. The finding reveals that the perception of class X students on the implementation of the biology learning process as a whole is in enough category with a percentage of 79.17%. Of the five activities in the learning process, there are two categories, namely gathering information and communicating with ‘good,’ category, and those having ‘enough’ categories, namely observing, asking questions, and associating or processing information.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the differences in the effectiveness of chemistry learning before and after using online learning methods during the Covid 19 pandemic for Muhammadiyah Senior High School 3 Batu students. This type of research is expo facto using a quantitative approach. The research population was class 12th grade student from Science 2 and Science 3 of Muhammadiyah Senior High School 3 Batu Students with a total of 62 people. Samples were taken using a non-random sampling technique, namely purposive sampling with an analytical formula. In this analysis method, using 2 stages, namely univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The findings reveal that before online learning more students got good results on chemistry, with the average score of 89,9. Meanwhile, after online learning was 88,2. Therefore, from the results of the bivariate test analysis showed that there were differences in the effectiveness of learning chemistry before and after online learning for students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes at MTsN 3 Malang after the group investigation type cooperative learning model was applied. This study is a quantitative approach study. The population in this study were all students of class VII in MTsN 3 Malang as many as five classes, but as samples taken two classes, namely class VII/B as many as 20 students as the control class and class VII/E as many as 20 students as the experimental class. Meanwhile, data collection on the ability of students' mathematics learning outcomes using an instrument in the form of a test. The data processing used one-party t-test statistics. The findings reveal that by applying the group investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model, it can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of MTsN 3 Malang students, rather than the mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught using the STAD learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of integrated chemistry practice implementation on student learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental and unbalanced control experiment design. The population for this research was students in class X for the academic year 2020/2021, totaling 165 students divided into six classes of 24-29 students each. A random sample of 58 pupils from the population was drawn and divided into two classes using a random sampling procedure. The test is included into the data collection procedure utilized in this investigation. Analyze the prerequisites using the normality and homogeneity tests. The descriptive statistical analysis and t-test were utilized to analyze the data for the one-party Separated variant model. The outcomes of the analysis are given a significance level of 5%. The findings reveal that, students who complete comprehensive exercises using integrated practicum approaches achieve higher basic chemistry learning values when compared to students who complete cooperative learning in chemistry (control classes). Integrated practice learning approaches, as demonstrated here, have a significant influence on the educational accomplishment of students at SMK PGRI 3 Malang.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to comprehensively investigate the pivotal role of carbohydrate nutrition in supplying energy to the human body and its implications for health. Over recent decades, the surge in diseases like obesity and type II diabetes, often linked to carbohydrate consumption, has raised concerns. Drawing upon an extensive review of literature, this qualitative study goes beyond surface-level analysis to delve deeply into the intricate relationship between carbohydrate intake, gut microorganisms, and their impact on human well-being. By adopting a qualitative approach, this research aims to provide a nuanced understanding of the multifaceted effects of carbohydrates, particularly emphasizing their influence on the growth and equilibrium of gut microorganisms. The symbiotic relationship between carbohydrates and gut microbiota extends its reach to mental health and various organic systems. However, disruptions in this balance may yield adverse consequences, warranting a comprehensive exploration. The study uncovers a spectrum of diseases associated with carbohydrate-related factors, encompassing cardiovascular ailments, cancer, chronic kidney failure, and asthma. Additionally, the research highlights the negative influence of simple and refined carbohydrates on mood-related aspects such as alertness and fatigue. This research seeks to elucidate the complex interplay between carbohydrate nutrition, gut microbiota, and human health. By achieving this objective, the study contributes valuable insights that can guide healthcare professionals, policymakers, and individuals toward informed dietary choices and improved overall well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the difficulties in learning mathematical fraction calculations in Grade 5 at SD Poris Gaga 8. The research method employed is qualitative, specifically a case study involving students and teachers of Grade 5 at SD. Data collection is carried out through observation techniques and face-to-face interviews. The study's results on factors contributing to students' difficulties in learning material about fractions include both students' cognitive aspects and physical aspects related to fractions. The challenges in learning, considering the students' cognitive conditions, are influenced by their concentration levels during math lessons. This is often attributed to students' disinterest in studying mathematics, their tendency to become easily bored at school, and an unfavorable learning environment. Regarding the material aspects of learning fractional calculations, students face difficulties due to their lack of familiarity with common denominators, general understanding of denominators, and the fundamental concepts of multiplying and dividing fractions. Furthermore, when solving problems involving fraction division, students struggle to effectively model these problems using appropriate mathematical approaches.
