re-JIEM (Research Journal of Islamic Education Management) is a peer-reviewed journal on Islamic education field and intended to communicate original research and current issues on the subject. This journal is published twice a year (June and December). The editors welcome scholars, researchers and practitioners of Islamic education around the world to submit scholarly articles to be published in this journal. All articles will be reviewed by experts before accepted for publication. re-JIEM (Research Journal of Islamic Education Management) IAIN Madura invites scholars, researchers, principals, educational supervisors, educational practitioners, and students college to contribute the result of their studies and research in the areas related to Education Management such as Islamic Education Management, leadership, school management, boarding school management, knowledge management which covers textual and fieldwork investigation with various perspectives of Education (including philosophy, history, theology, sociology, anthropology, political science, psychology, and others).

<![CDATA[Independent character is something that must be formed and developed in educating. This research is about the implementation of pesantren curriculum management in forming the independent character of santri in the Nurus Shibyan Ambat Tlanakan Pamekasan Islamic Boarding School by using a qualitative approach with descriptive types through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study show that: First the management of the pesantren curriculum in shaping the character of the santris' independence is using planning, organizing and evaluating. Secondly, the formation of the independence character in the Nurus Shibyan Islamic boarding school is more for coaching, namely through fostering exemplary, fostering advice or encouragement. Third, supporting factors in forming the independence of santries are team cohesiveness, teacher involvement in forming the character of independence, and santri motivation in training or activities. The inhibiting factors are minimal facilities and infrastructure of Islamic boarding schools, financing factors, and the behavior of santries who are sometimes undisciplined.]]>

<![CDATA[Entrepreneurial interest of each individual arises along with one's efforts to gain an understanding of entrepreneurship obtained through daily activities of doing business independently in the surrounding environment, through knowledge from lectures both aspects of entrepreneurial theory and entrepreneurial practice as academic demands so that it impacts on the growth of entrepreneurial motivation. This research was conducted qualitatively by tracing the lecture activities of study program students at the Faculty of Business Economics IAIN Madura. The results showed that; first, designing lectures as well as possible that refers to the syllabus, preparing references and theories, students are encouraged to take an active part in class. Second, the implementation of entrepreneurship courses, namely the existence of discussion activities and field practice. During the discussion the students were equipped with knowledge about entrepreneurship, business, which was then strengthened by holding business practices outside the classroom. Third, the level of success of the entrepreneurship course courses is the emergence of creative and innovative ideas for students to carry out small entrepreneurial activities on campus such as selling food cakes to other students as a form of entrepreneurial interest.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to, (1) determine the cost effectiveness analysis of UM dormitory students, who are in the faculties of the State University of Malang (UM); (2) knowing student achievement in UM environment faculties; and (3) knowing the relationship between cost effectiveness analysis of UM dormitory students to study achievement in UM faculties. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design. The instrument of this study was to use the Google form survey assistance with respondent are students of UM dormitory in UM environmental faculties. The analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis and correlation. The results of this study indicate: (1) the level of cost effectiveness analysis of the occupants of UM student dormitory residing in the faculties of the State University of Malang is classified as a rarity that uses cost effectiveness analysis in managing finances for dormitory and educational needs; (2) the level of learning achievement that is spread in all faculties at the State University of Malang tends to be poor; and (3) the results of the study show that there is a relationship between cost effectiveness analysis of UM student dormitory students on learning achievement.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to understand pedatren holistically as a technology-based paperlessoffice boarding school management solution. This article uses qualitative research with the types of case studies conducted at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, Paiton, Probolinggo. Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School is one of the pesantren in East Java which has been established for 69 years. This is an indicator that the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School is able to survive, be responsive and dynamic towards changing times, without abandoning religious values as a whole. Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School is also one of the cottages that responds well to the presence of technology. Pedatren is the solution to the pesantren management system which is starting to transform towards a paperless institution. Pedatren is designed using the node.js programming language with the jami 'wal mani' design system.]]>

<![CDATA[Service is an activity whose implementation is carried out by holding relationships, both directly and indirectly. The service referred to here is how the service process is implemented and carried out in the library of IAIN Madura to facilitate information retrieval of library materials for students, especially MPI study program students in class 2018. This is evident from the results of statistical analysis showing that the work r 0.622 is consulted with product criticism moment at the value of N = 32 with the value "r" of work is greater than the "r" table of product moment both at 95% intervals and at 99% intervals where it shows a value of 0.349. Thus it can be said that there is a positive correlation between the two research variables. how big is the relationship between the quality of library services to the speed of obtaining library material information for MPI study program batch 2018 in Madura IAIN r work is consulted with a product moment correlation interpretation table, where r work is in the range of values between 0.600 to 0.800 which means the second correlation or urgency the variable is at a sufficient level of significance.]]>

<![CDATA[The implementation of a two-way symmetrical model of public relations provides opportunities for recipients of education services to obtain their rights as consumers of education services. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. The results showed that: first, the application of a two-way symmetrical model of public relations was carried out in the form of various school programs, this was because it involved outside agencies both government and non-government agencies, communication established by public relations officers ie two directions, mutual giving and receiving, honesty and openness and not on the basis of personal interests. Second, supporting factors in the form of approaches taken by public relations officers, regarding the communication carried out, and the same vision and goals are also supporting factors. Third, the inhibiting factors are internal and external factors. The ability of the public relations officer in planning the program of activities, as well as the approach with whom to aim for and the lack of activity time and readiness of the agency. Fourth, the solution is the principal's policy to immediately take other actions.]]>

<![CDATA[The challenges of education are increasingly complex. The latest challenge about 21st century learning. Tuntutan wacana ini diataranya critical thinking. So learning the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) is important. This study aims to look at the pattern of distribution of basic competencies in the HOTS domain in KMA Number 165 of 2014 concerning the 2013 curriculum of PAI and Arabic subjects in Madrasah. This research is literature. The method of analyzing data using descriptive methods, the data obtained by documentation techniques. To focus the research, researchers used content analysis. To focus the research, researchers used the results of the study to show that Basic Competence (KD) was dominated by the level of understanding (C2), then remembering (C1) and applying (C3). While the HOTS level analyzing(C4) as the initial level of HOTS is still small compared to C2, C1, and C3. the level of analyzing (C4) is only 22 KD. As for evaluating (C5) and creating (C6) not yet. The pattern of distribution at the higher levels is more and more basic competencies in the HOTS domain. Or vice versa the lower the level the less basic competence of the HOTS domain.]]>

<![CDATA[Three problems become the main topic in this research, that is the description of management implementation, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors that are all related to improving the competency quality of graduates in entrepreneurship in meeting the national standards of vocational education An-Nuqoyyah Sumenep Guluk-Guluk East Java. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological descriptive type. Sources of data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that in implementing a program to improve the quality of graduates in the field of entrepreneurship at the Annuqoyyah Vocational School used four stages, that is (1). Planning by making school programs, organizing the division of tasks related to the field of entrepreneurship by using price labeling in the Marketing Laboratory. (2). The implementation consists of the preparation, follow-up, and evaluation stages of the entire program which is carried out mid and end of the semester. Supporting factors are (1). Openness and involvement of all teaching staff in building schools are even better; (2). There is support from Annuqoyyah boarding school caretakers. Furthermore, the inhibiting factors are inadequate infrastructure so that it can hinder students' learning and teaching processes; (2). Institutions that are not independent because there are still dependencies with pesantren foundations; (3). low student motivation and interest in learning results in neglect in the learning process; (4). The recruitment of less professional teachers makes some teaching staff do not match their expertise.]]>
