Abstract

- Food is one of the main needs of human life, with the development of the times, food with various kinds of processing innovations can be easily found everywhere. But sometimes there is an over choice or choice overload situation, where the visitor is confused about what food to order because of the many available food menus and the mood of the visitor who doesn't want to eat anything. Overchoice or choice overload is a cognitive process in which people have difficulty making decisions because there are too many choices. The method used in the decision-making process is TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) which is a multi-criteria decision making where the best alternative has the longest distance from the negative ideal solution and the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it produces a decision support system with the TOPSIS method (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and also the calculation of the system that was built to produce a ranking from the largest preventive value to the smallest.

Abstract

Improving services for patients is a hospital need. Stroke patients have limitations in the movement of body parts that cannot be controlled. It is caused by vascular disease and brain damage. Stroke patients need special services with electronic beds. The need for electric beds in hospitals can be an effective solution to provide complete patient care services. Manual bed in the hospital that is used to change the patient's position by hand using a crank. The electric bed is designed with an electric motor prime mover equipped with a control system. The purpose of this study is to design an electric hospital bed for stroke patients that can be used to improve patient care. The research method begins with a preliminary study which includes field studies and literature studies. The next stage is the design stage, the manufacturing stage, the purchase of standard components such as the electric linear actuator, the assembly stage, and the smart hospital bed performance testing stage. The results of this study are a smart hospital bed unit with dimensions of 2000×900×600 mm, has an electric linear actuator with a constant speed of 20 mm/s. The smart hospital bed movement test was successfully carried out with a remote control. The test parameters used were the patient's weight in 5 movements, back movement, left leg movement, right leg movement, body tilting movement to the left, and body tilting movement to the right. Smart hospital bed innovation can improve medical personnel services for stroke patients in hospitals.

Abstract

Waste in the aspect of forklift maintenance often occurs due to poor forklift repair planning. The design of information systems for preventive service maintenance and forklift spare parts is made using the PHP programming language and MySQL database as well as a Web application that aims to reduce operator negligence and forklift mechanics who do not perform routine checks on forklifts and increase the reliability of forklift engines. This study uses object-oriented analysis and design methods, starting from the analysis of the current system using UML, elicitation of system requirements, and the description of the proposed system using UML. The method of analysis is carried out by conducting direct observations in the company, documentation by studying existing documents, research on problems, and interviews with related parties in the company. The conclusion that can be drawn by the author is that the current system is not effective and efficient so engine damage often occurs resulting in delays in support for forklift services and waste of forklift engine repair costs. For this reason, the author advises the maintenance division of PT Henkel Footwear Specialty And Adhesives to use a Web-based preventive maintenance planning system, by utilizing Web application media.

Abstract

In this study, the researchers analysed how the agricultural sub-sectors contribute to the Philippines' overall agricultural sector percent share of GDP. The study employed time series data from 1980 to 2020 and was collected using secondary sources. The researchers will examine the data using The Ordinary Least Square (OLS) multiple regression analysis, Multicollinearity, and Normality Test. This study considered Agriculture's Percent Share of GDP as the dependent variable and several agricultural sub-sectors, such as crops, livestock, poultry, and fisheries growth rate, as the independent variables. Providing opportunities for local farmers by efficiently allocating government funds and subsidizing their production costs, creating policies emphasizing reducing environmental pollution, and improving the institutional and governance structures in the agricultural sector. The regression analysis of the data tested by the researchers indicates a positive and significant contribution to agriculture’s percent share to GDP of the Philippines. However, the results of livestock and poultry contribution to agriculture’s GDP was poor unlike crops and fisheries. This study recommends that Government of the Philippines should focus on all the agricultural sub-sectors to increase their growth rate contribution to the agriculture’s percent share to GDP. Investing into modern technological advancements is also recommended to strengthen the country’s agricultural sector.
