Abstract

This study aims to describe the habituation of students' disciplined characters and the role played by teachers in habituation of students' disciplined characters. The object of the research was conducted at Muhammadiyah 3 Ikrom Elementary School, Sidoarjo. The research subjects were 2 third grade teachers. Data was collected using observation, interview and documentation techniques which were then analyzed using the Miles model, namely condensation, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results showed that the habituation of the student's disciplinary character was carried out by the teacher by applying the my point system, welcoming students in the morning, verbally reminding them, greeting and greetings when they met, and getting used to Dzuha prayers, and muraja'ah every morning. The teacher's role in familiarizing the disciplined character in doing assignments, preparing school needs, attendance, and obeying school rules, the teacher acts as a teacher, mentor, counselor, evaluator, model, and creator.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of perceptions of the public accounting profession, adversity intelligence, financial rewards, and labor market considerations on the interest of accounting students to have a career as public accountants. This study uses a quantitative approach to analysis techniques. The objects used in this study were accounting students from the 2017 and 2018 batches at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. The sample used is 78 respondents using purposive sampling method, by distributing questionnaires through google form. The data analysis used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS version 26 application. The results of this study show that only financial rewards do not affect the interest of accounting students to have a career as public accountants. Meanwhile, the perception of the public accounting profession, adversity intelligence, and labor market considerations affect the interest of accounting students to have a career as public accountants.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Internship Experience, Motivation, and Academic Achievement on students' readiness to enter the world of work and to find out that Self Efficacy moderates the effect of Internship Experience, Motivation, and Academic Achievement on students' readiness to enter the workforce. This is a descriptive study using quantitative methods. Sampling was carried out using the Probability Sampling technique using the Simple Random Sampling method and collecting data using a questionnaire. The population of 428 people using the Slovin formula was obtained as many as 81 respondents. Using multiple linear regression, MRA, and hypothesis testing in the SPSS version 22 program. The results of the study prove that Internship Experience, Motivation, Academic Achievement have a significant effect on students' readiness to enter the world of work. Also, Self Efficacy strengthens the influence of Internship Experience and Motivation on students' readiness to enter the world of work, and Self Efficacy weakens the influence of Academic Achievement on students' readiness to enter the world of work.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and find out about the perceptions of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo university students on the Mata Najwa YouTube talk show in the episode "PSSI can what volume 6". This episode has been watched by the public more than 277 thousand times on youtube. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is an interactive model data analysis technique, where the data source comes from interviews with the stages of data collection, reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the perception of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo university students on the Mata Najwa YouTube talk show in the episode "PSSI can what volume 6" finds it difficult to trust the authorities on all matters relating to law enforcement, this is due to the lack of strong safety guarantees. to those who reported crimes and the slow handling of PSSI.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of social support problems in students who work while studying, such as other students who don't care when a friend is having difficulties, lack of empathy among students which causes them to hurt each other both verbally and non-verbally and the high demands of others. old to always get a perfect value without being supported by adequate facilities. This study aims to determine the description of social support for students who work while studying at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The variable in this study is social support. This research was conducted at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo with a population of 3,836 students who work while studying. The sample in this study was 320 students who were taken by the Incidental Sampling technique where the determination of the sample was based on chance. The data collection technique in this study used a psychological scale with a Likert scaling model, namely social support. Data analysis was carried out using Corrected item-total correlation which could be done using the SPSS 25.0 for Windows program. The results showed that most of the students who worked while studying were in the medium category with a percentage of 55.6%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between gratitude and the psychological well-being of students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative research method with a correlational approach and uses a scale measuring instrument, namely the gratitude scale and psychological well-being scale. The sample in this study was 337 students from a population of 9,591 students who were taken using incidental techniques, namely sampling based on coincidence or samples that were met or met by researchers by chance. Data analysis was performed using a gratitude scale and a psychological well-being scale using SPSS 24.0 for windows. The results in this study indicate that there is a correlation test that has been carried out there is a significant relationship between each gratitude (r -0.700 and p < .000) with psychological well-being (r -0.700 and p < .000). R square of 0.490 indicates that gratitude has an effect of 49% on psychological well-being. The remaining 51% of the percentage of the influence of the psychological welfare variable is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

In this study, the aim of this study was to identify stress coping strategies carried out by students of the Psychology Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo in compiling a thesis during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research subjects consisted of three active students from the psychology study program at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo who were preparing a thesis using purposive sampling technique. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological research method, with data collection techniques using a semi-structured interview process. The data analysis technique used the model of Miles and Huberman (1985). The results of this study explain that the use of stress coping, both problem focus coping and emotional focus coping, has its own role for students who make efforts to minimize or eliminate negative things, due to pressure that makes them feel threatened, uncomfortable, resulting in stressful conditions, both both are able to help in overcoming problems effectively, besides the importance of paying attention to several factors supporting the success and effectiveness of a coping. Basically a problem that occurs when someone is in the process, of course they have various ways of dealing with these problems in order to be able to resume what has been done and to be able to achieve the goals that have been set and go to the next stage.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the existence of a pandemic in Indonesia, so that the learning process was disrupted. As a result, many students lose interest in learning because distance learning and learning methods and media are still simple. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence on the interest in learning Arabic for class X Language of SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Tulangan and how big the effect was. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. Methods of data analysis using hypothesis testing and correlation coefficient test. The results showed that the significant value of the hypothesis test results was 0.040 < 0.05, so Ho was rejected. So, variable X (Quizizz) has an effect on variable Y (Interest in learning Arabic). The effect of variable X on variable Y is positive with a correlation level of 0, 214 or 21.4%. This concludes that there is a significant effect of the Quizizz variable on the variable of interest in learning Arabic for class X Language at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Tulangan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences between Nordic Hamstring Exercise and Contract Relax Stretching on increasing flexibility in students with Hamstring Tightness at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo, with male and female respondents aged 19-24 years experiencing hamstring tightness. Methods: This study was conducted by comparing the increased flexibility of the group given Nordic Hamstring Exercise with the Contract Relax Stretching group, hamstring flexibility was measured by measuring the hip joint range of motion during the passive straight leg raise (SLR) or active knee extension (AKE) test. Results: The results of this study were paired sample T-test in both groups, where in group 1 the mean value of the pre-test was changed from 42.69±6.957 to 20.77±7.316 at the time of post-test, p value = 0.001 ( p<0.05). Meanwhile, in group 2, the mean value of the pre-test was changed from 43.85±10.637 to 32.31±0.919 at the post-test, the value of p=0.001 (p<0.05) it can be concluded that there is a change in the flexibility of the hamstring muscles in students after being given Nordic Hamstring Exercise and Contract Relax Stretching. The results of the Independent T-test showed a p value = 0.004 <0.05, which means that there are differences in the effectiveness of the two groups to increase the flexibility of the hamstring muscles in students.

Abstract

This Reaserch is motivated by the phenomenom of Covid-19 volunteers who expeinece altruistic behavior problems. This reaserch doing to know the positive relationship between religiosity and altruistic behavior in Covid-19 Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo volunteers. The hypothesis proposed by the researcher is that there is a positive relationship between religiosity and altruistic behavior in Covid-19 Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo volunteers. the quantitative method was chosen by researcher to achieve the objectives of this study. Responden in this study were taken based on Isaac and Michael’s scale table with 5% of the population 226 taken into 139 research subjects. This study used an altruistic behavior scale and religiosity scale. The results of the product moment analysis showed that the rxy correlation coefficient was 0,268 with a significance of 0,001 (P< 0,05) meaning that there was a significance positive relationship between altruistic behavior and religiosity in Covid-19 volunteers of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The effective Contribution of religiosity was 6,5 % towards altruistic behavior. that there are 93,5 % of other factor that influence outside the religiosity variable.
