Abstract

Stress  is  a  negative  reaction  experienced  by  workers  due  to excessive   work   at   work.   This   study   aims   to   determine   the correlation of gender, level of education and years of service with the level of work stress on employees at the Makassar Class 1 Port Health office. The population and sample of this study were all employees at the Makassar Class 1 Port Health Office totaling 30 people. The stress measuring tool used is the Stress Diagnosis Survey (SDS) observation sheet. The results showed that there was a correlation between gender (P= 0.00 and R= 0.8) working period (P=0.00,  R=0.7) and  work  stress  and  there  was no  correlation between education level (P=0.38 and R= 0.2) and stress. work. Therefore, it is necessary to have regulations related to work rotation or adjustment of workload to the level of ability possessed by employees and to create a conducive work environment

Abstract

Vitamin C is an important compound for the human body. The fuction of vitamin C is to form collagen and antioxidants that the body needs. This study aims to determine the levels of vitamin C in dayak onions (Eleutherine Palmifolia (L.) Merr) and red shallots (Allium Ascalocinum L.) using iodimetric titration. To tests the levels of vitamin C using the iodimetric method. The results of vitamin C levels carried out in three consecutive titrations had a concentration value of 46,5 mg/g in dayak onions with an average value of 5,67 mL and a concentration value in shallots of 39,7 mg/g with an average value of 4,8 mL.

Abstract

Iron is a very important element to form hemoglobin (Hb). Blood supplement tablets which are often consumed in the process of g iron are ferro fumarate. The aims is determine the levels of iron (Fe) contained in blood supplement drugs (ferro fumarate). This type of research was a laboratory experiment using the complexometric method and a complex forming substance, namely disodium ethylene diamine tetra acetate (Na2EDTA). A sample of blood supplement tablets (ferro fumarate) which was prepared in 10 tablets was made into powder and then 150 mg was taken and titrated with Na2EDTA as the titrant and using the Erichrome Black T (EBT) indicator resulting in a purple titration end point turning blue. The results showed that the level of iron (Fe) in the blood supplement sample (ferro fumarate) was 200%.

Abstract

Psoriasis is a disease related to the immunity, usually inherited genetically and is chronic and recurring. When patients with psoriasis are infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the theory is that there is a paradoxical relationship that affects the two diseases. HIV can be a trigger for psoriasis and psoriasis can appear as an early symptom of HIV infection. The successful treatment of Psoriasis with HIV positive must be done appropriately according to the patient's condition. Here we discuss several Psoriasis therapy options in HIV positive patients based on several case reports that have a variety of different diseases. The research design is a literature review and refers to the PRISMA method. Scientific articles searchable on PubMed. There were 13 scientific articles related to Psoriasis patients who were HIV positive and met the inclusion criteria. Initial treatment of Psoriasis using biological therapy such as Risankizumab and Secukimab 300 mg subcutaneously, can change the response rate of the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index to 100 or the total loss of psoriasis lesions after a few weeks. In addition, the treatment of psoriasis together with High-active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) also affects the improvement of Psoriasis.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a global burden with most cases occurring in developing countries. After the implementation of Directly Observed Treatment Short-course (DOTS), the incidence of tuberculosis decreased. Despite, studies reported constraints in implementing this program. This study aims to describe the challenges of DOTS implementation in developing countries narratively. Methods a search strategy through PUBMED was used to identify relevant articles. 10 relevant articles were included from 349 records. The studies were conducted in 8 developing countries namely South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Brazil, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Angola and Nigeria. All articles included was extracted and categorized in ten main points regarding the challenges of the implementation of DOTS program. Results: There were 10 main points of challenges in implementing the DOTS strategy in developing countries : lack of access to health centres, managerial and organizational service problems, lack of health education-related tuberculosis, lack of supervision, TB co-infection, lack of trained health workers, smoking, alcohol, and drug abuse during treatment, patient-health professional relationship, lack of food availability and interruption during treatment. The Conclusion is the implementation of the DOTS strategy encounters many challenges in developing countries where lack of health facilities, managerial and organizational service problems and lack of education-related TB are the main challenges to implement the program.
