Abstract

This research on the literary reception of the legends of Lake Si Losung and Si Pinggan in the Defense of Wisdom is research on the responses of the people of Siponjot Village. The response from the people of Siponjot Village shows that after reading the text provided the researcher accepts and acknowledges the alignment of the contents of the text of the legend of Lake Si Losung and Si Pinggan in the Defense of Wisdom in accordance with the story that the community knows. From the results of the research, the community responds that there is a large and positive influence on society and some people can apply good values ??such as being honest and not imitating the character traits of Datu Dalu and Saahangmaima who are stubborn, liars, do not like to give in, arrogant and like to fight with each other. sibling. However, the people of Siponjot Village who believe in the legend of Lake Si Losung and Si Pinggan in the Defense of Wisdom really only come from the old group, while many young people still think that the story is just a myth. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the local wisdom contained in the coastal Malay community in Labuhan Batu, North Sumatra. This research is also to find out changes in bordah art and understand the function of bordah art in coastal Malay communities in North Labuhanbatu. In discussing this study, Jacqueline Smith's theory of form was used which stated that it has a form, the form of the whole system, unity, characteristic or mode and Farley's theory of change which stated that social change is a change in behavior patterns, social relations, institutions and social structures at a certain time. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be seen that the art of Bordah in Arabic is qasidah which contains poetry about worship, praise and prayers to the Prophet, namely Muhammad SAW. , where they recite prayers from books and sound drums as if they were singing songs like singing. Bordah art is also displayed in festivals, hagaf, birth celebrations and circumcision and marriage events. The function of music is as entertainment, accompaniment, means of communication, expression of gratitude, cultural continuity and means of self-expression. Abstract

Echo dance is a Merangin folk dance that reflects the culture and daily life of the people of Merangin Regency. This study aims to describe the cultural identity of the people of Merangin Regency through the background of the creation of echo dance. This research method uses qualitative research in a phenomenological approach where data is obtained through observation through watching traditional events that the author has done before the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as conducting modest interviews, and the author uses literature review in compiling this article. The results show that echo dance describes the cultural identity of the people of Merangin Regency, especially through the background of the creation of echo dance. In every movement of the echo dance, it shows a picture of the identity of the women's lives in Merangin Regency. This can be seen through the characteristics of the echo dance movement which depicts strong, strong and independent women. Keywords: echo dance, identity, culture

Abstract

This study examines semiotic study and the value of islam in oral tradition of Sariga in Muna society of south Sulawesi Province.??. Semiotic meaning and islamic values ??in the Muna community are widely applied through local traditions in the community and one of them is the oral tradition of Sariga. The problem in this study is "What meaning of semiotics and islamic values ??are contained in the Sariga oral tradition of the Muna tribe in Southeast Sulawesi?" The purpose of this study is to describe meaning of semiotics and islamic values ??contained in the Sariga oral tradition of the Muna tribe in Southeast Sulawesi. The method used is the ethnographic method and the method of cultural research. Theories used in this research are semiotic theory, value theory, value theory in Islamic religion, oral tradition theory, and cultural theory. The results showed that meaning semiotic in the oral tradition of Sariga in the Muna society that every material or equipment used during the procession of the Sariga oral tradition, is not only material/tool without meaning, but every material used also has a specific meaning/function for the community. The Islamic values ??in the oral tradition of Sariga in the Muna community contained Divine value, Religious value, Human value, Ethical value, and Aesthetic value. Abstract

In the era of globalization,with rapid development and the number of entertainment are easily available, Dance with a mask that is always perfomedbypeopleliveiving inMuaro village Jambi, the subdistrict of MaroSebo, all in Muaro Jambi district, still exists and constantly developedin the life of itsfuns. Dance with a mask is able to maintain its existence even though in this era of globalization. In addition, the movements that concern with the Dance with masks, which always change, is not an obstacle for the village community of Jambi to continue preserving Dance with a mask and they routinely perform it.Basedonthephenomenonthatoccurs,todayistheright time forconducting a studyto determine and assessthemeaning of whatisreallycontained in thedance with a maskso thatit can bestillgrowing and developing in themodern era. The method used is the method of ethnography which is used to describe, record, analyze and interpret the Dance with a mask with the conditions of people inthe society who really and accurately support it.This research is a qualitative research, the research is done naturally, it is pure, in a normal situation that is not manipulated by circumstances and conditions. Abstract

Barahoi dance is an art form that exists in the people of Kuala Tungkal, Jambi. This Barahoi dance is danced by 10 male dancers and 10 female dancers. This dance is inspired by seeing a fisherman who is catching fish for his daily needs. The movement of the Barahoi dance depicts the sharpness and agility of a fisherman, among the movements of the Kaia dance are: footstep, left and right steps, ducking. These movements are processed and stylized into a work of art, namely the Barahoi dance. The musical instruments used in this dance are: Malay drum, violin, gong, accordion and gandang muko duo. Meanwhile, the costumes used in this dance performance are clothes for brackets and songket cloth along with tengkuluk for female dancers and batik clothes, basic pants, sarongs and tanjak for male dancers. Abstract

Jambi region which experienced resistance movements against Dutch colonialism since 1834 which was started by Sultan Taha Syafuddin continued until his death in 1904 in Betung Bedara, Tebo region, Jambi. The struggle did not stop but was continued by one of the biggest and most feared by the Dutch , his name is Raden Mattaher bin Raden Kusin. Basically, Raden Mattaher's struggle began when he joined Panglima Sultan Taha in 1885, and was even nicknamed 'Singo Kumpeh'. Raden Mattaher's involvement in several places in Jambi has left artifacts that can be used as cultural heritage, which support the handover and confirmation of Radaen Mataher as the 2nd National Hero from the Jambi region. The research method used in this research was descriptive qualitative approach and to collect the data the researcher record the data in the field to identify the relationship between artifacts and historical events. The results showed that these artifacts were closely related to the revolutionary struggle of Raden Mattaher. Keywords : History, revolutionary struggle of Raden Mattaher, artifacts.

Abstract

Abstrack: The research aims to describe word classes that contained in the ‘Maaf’ by Putu Wijaya’s short story. Word class is a word classifiation in units of language with based on the form categories, function, and meaning in the system grammatical. The function of word class is to develop sentence properly based on patterns sentence raw in order to avoid a mistake in the writing of the setence. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method by analyzing the documents that have been obtained and then explained based on word class, compared and combined to form a systematic and a whole results of the study. It can be concluded that the result of the research from ‘Maaf’ by Putu Wijaya’s short story are (1) Noun 613 words. (2) Verb 436 words. (3) Conjunction or particle obtained 424 words. (4) Adverb 303 words. (5) Pronoun 274 words. (6) Adjektive 223 words. (7) Numerals which is only 46 words. Keywords : Morphology, part of speech, short story

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the structure of the folklore of Si Layah and Brudinam and to find out the forms of local wisdom in the folklore of Si Layah and Brudinam. The data for this research is a folklore book entitled Si Layakh with Brudinam. This story comes from Southeast Aceh. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The instrument used in this research is a documentation study. The analysis technique was carried out by describing the structure and local wisdom contained in the book of Southeast Acehnese folklore Si Layakh with Brudinam. The results of this study indicate that there is a link between the intrinsic structure and the form of local wisdom that builds the folklore of Si Layah and Brudinam. Abstract

Abstract: An analytical study of Athillah Afro Sandi's poem entitled Aku Si Pencemburu and Pulanglah in terms of the physical structure and inner structure was carried out to find out what inner structure and physical structure are contained in the two poems. The research method of this study follows a qualitative descriptive method in which the process and meaning are highlighted in qualitative research. Then the research data were analyzed using the results of poetry analysis before concluding. The results indicate that the poem “Aku Si Pencemburu contains conventional typography, connotative diction, olfactory images, visual images, tactile images, concrete words, personification figure of speech, full rhyme, the theme of jealousy, excessive jealousy, threatening tone, and a message that overly jealous people can harm their partner. Meanwhile,Pulanglah contains conventional typography, the diction of confusion, hopes and requests, tactile and vision images, concrete words, broken rhymes and rhymes with the theme of a place to go home, a sense of hope, a tone of storytelling and pleading, and a message that there will always be a place to go home after traveling so far.
