Abstract

Many Islamic movements have emerged with a different style from the mainstream. One of them is the Salafi movement. Although many parties reject Salafi preaching, not a few can also accept it, one of them is a group of artists who are growing their religious passion. They are known as hijra celebrities. This article discusses the process of acceptance of Salafi da'wah among hijra celebrities. This research is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The primary data of this study were obtained from in-depth interviews with preachers and celebrities who attended Salafi recitations. The research subjects were determined purposively after observing several Hijra artists. This research also utilizes various literature related to the Salafism theme and the phenomenon of Hijra celebrity. The results show that social media plays an important role in encouraging the development of the Hijra movement. Social media has connected Hijra celebrities with Salafi preachers. Some of the celebrities interviewed admitted that their interest in attending Salafi studies grew after listening to recitations through social media. Thus, Hijra celebrities are actively seeking and receiving Salafi preaching.

Abstract

The vibrations produced by reading ghunnah have a favorable influence on a person's cognitive function, specifically in the form of memory strengthening or improvement in order to prevent senile dementia. The ability of tajweed Ghunnah is thought to have a good impact on memory. Furthermore, this capacity can help to prevent senility, which is a typical problem among the elderly. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ghunnah therapy on memory. The quantitative approaches utilized in this investigation were combined with a pre-post experimental design. The Reading Span Test method was used to assess respondents' memory before and after ghunnah therapy. The goal was to demonstrate that Ghunnah's intervention variable was the only one that had an effect on memory improvement. The findings revealed that respondents' memory scores improved before and after ghunnah therapy. As a result, it is possible to conclude that ghunnah therapy has a substantial association with memory.

Abstract

Perempuan telah terlibat dengan pesantren sejak beberapa tahun yang lalu, baik sebagai santri (siswi) maupun sebagai ustadhah (guru). Beberapa studi menunjukkan, bahwa sejarah keterlibatan perempuan di pesantren sudah dimulai sejak tahun 1916. Akan tetapi, lamanya keterlibatan tersebut tidak berarti perempuan akan mendapatkan kesempatan yang sama dalam posisi manajemen, karena kebanyakan pesantren dipimpin oleh kyai (seorang laki-laki). Artikel ini ditulis berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian pada dua pesantren, satu berada di Gresik Jawa Timur dan Brebes Jawa Tengah. Hasil riset menunjukkan, bahwa nyai (istri dari kyai) memimpin pesantren putri, sementara kyai sebagai pimpinan puncak dari pesantren putra dan pesantren putri. Pada level manajemen, nyai berada di posisi kedua setelah kyai. Dia mempunyai wewenang memimpin dan menjalankan pesantren putri serta mengajar santri putri.Kata Kunci: Pesantren, kepemimpinan wanita, kyai, nyai Women have involved in pesantren since many years ago whether as students or as teachers. Many studies revealed the history of the involvement of women in this educational institution which is stated that it started in 1916. However, the long engagement in this institution does not meant that women will have same opportunity in the management level since most of pesantren is chaired by a kyai (a man). This article based on the field research at two pesantren located in Gresik East Java and Brebes Central Java. In addition, data was gathered through documentary study. Finding of the research shows that nyai (wife of the kyai) lead a pesantren for female students, meanwhile a kyai is the top leader for both pesantren for male and female students. In the management, nyai is in the second level under the kyai. She has authority to run female pesantren and teach female students. Keywords: Pesantren, female leadership, kyai, nyai

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the implementation of the inclusive education at Islamic Elementary School (MI) Keji Unggaran in Central Java. This research used the qulitative approach. The results of research showed that the implementation of the inclusive education at MI Keji run well although it was in its restrictiveness. The learning process was conducted with pull out system where the curriculum would be used were modified from the national curriculum, the madrasah curriculum, and the individual education program (PPI) curriculum. The teachers’ existence asthe students’ advisor which were not relevant with their background education did not decrease their spirit to serve the the equal education for their disabled students. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa penyelenggaraan program inklsuif di MI Keji berjalan dengan baik di tengah keterbatasan yang dimiliki. Proses pembelajaran dilakukan dengan sistem pull out, di mana kurikulum yang digunakan merupakan modifikasi dari kurikulum nasional, kurikulum madrasah, dan Kurikulum Program Pendidikan Individual (PPI). Keberadaan guru pembimbing dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang kurang relevan tidak menyurutkan semangat mereka untuk memberikan pendidikan yang setara bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus. Abstract

This article presented the results of research about the implementation of Junior High School (SMP) Developing Program based on Islamic boarding school or pesantren. The field research was conducted in two schools based on pesantren, namely the Azzayniyah and the SMPBP Islam Generasi at Sukabumi regency. In data collecting, this research used the depth interview, observation, documentary study, and questionnaire to complete the need data. This research found that SMPBP which was be object of this research showed that the academic achievements of this school tend to increase in National Final Examination, religious knowledges, Arabic books studies, and the reading-writing of the Quran. Futhermore, for the Islamic boarding school values showed the good prospects. The studied values were included in godly, discipline, obedient, social, tolerance, politeness, and peace.Keywords: Islamic boarding school, school, integrative education,SukabumiArtikel ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang pelaksanaan program pengembangan Sekolah Menengah Pertama berbasis pesantren. Penelitian lapangan dilakukan di dua sekolah sekolah berbasis pesantren, yaitu SMPB Azzayniyah dan SMPBP Islam Generasi di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Teknik pengumpulan data mengkobinasikan wawancara mendalam, observasi, studi dokumnetasi serta angket untuk melengkapi data yang dibutuhkan.Penelitian ini menemukan, bahwa SMPBP berbasis pesantren yang menjadi objek kajian ini memperlihatkan prestasi akademik yang cenderung meningkat, baik itu dari hasil ujian nasional maupun capaian dalam pengetahuan agama, pengajian kitab kuning maupun Baca Tulis Al-Qur'an. Adapun untuk nilai atau kultur kepesantrenan yang dikaji, memperlihatkan gambaran yang menggembirakan. Nilai-nilai yang dikaji tersebut mencakup kultur kesalehan, kedisiplinan, kebersihan, kepatuhan, kemasyarakatan, dan toleransi. Demikian pula dalam hal nilai kesantunan dan perdamaian. Abstract

This article presented the research results of the techers’ mindset through Robert Dilts’ Neuro-Logical Level structures. This research answered two questions, namely: (1) How were the teachers’ mindset of Islamic school or madrasah in Central Java and DIY, and (2) How were the basics of effective training development to build the teachers’ growth mindset? By using the questionaire, this research found the teachers’ mindset of madrasah in Central Java and DIY. Eight aspects from ten aspects showed the positive mindset (medium), but approximately low, it was still a litle mental block that it bothered teachers’ personality changing. It means that the teachers in Central Java and DIY do need a training or shortcourse about how to build the positive mindset, and how to decrease the mental blocks and to avoid it in personality changing. Keywords: Mindset, madrasah, teacher education and training, character building Artikel ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang pola pikir (mindset) guru dengan mengikuti pola (struktur) Neuro-Logical Level Robert Dilts. Penelitian ini menjawab dua pertanyaan, yakni: (1) Bagaimana mindset guru madrasah Jawa Tengah (Jateng) dan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY)?, (2) Bagaimana dasar pengembangan Diklat yang efektif untuk membangun “growth mindset” guru? Dengan menggunakan angket, diperoleh hasil, bahwa mindset guru madrasah Jateng dan DIY, dari sepuluh aspek, ada 8 aspek menunjukkan mindset positif (dengan kategori sedang), tetapi dengan angka yang tipis (mendekati rendah), maka implikasinya masih ada mental block (hambatan psikis) yang sangat mengganggu perubahan diri guru. Walaupun hambatan psikis tersebut dengan kategori rendah, tetapi mendekati sedang. Artinya, guru Jateng dan DIY masih sangat memerlukan pembinaan atau diklat tentang bagaimana membangun mindset yang lebih positif (growth mindset) dan bagaimana mengurangi hambatan-hambatan psikis untuk melakukan perubahan dan peningkatan diri. Abstract

This article presented the results of the research about Islamic education learning and the students’ aspiration tendencies. The case of the study was the students of the Science of Education Faculty (FIP) of Indonesia University of Education (UPI) by academic year 2015/2016. The research process had been runing for three months (October to December 2015). The results of research showed that the Islamic Education (PAI) learning at UPI conformed with the government policies and the principles of educational theories which aims to prepare the educator candidates whom according to the motto of UPI; scientific, educative, and religious.Through the multi domains of integrative learning approach that it was applied at UPI by some models and learning approaches awakened the students’ enthusiasms and developed their religious concepts and experiences more dinamically and openly. The PAI tutorials was not only in the classrooms but also in the mousque and at the Units of Students’ Activities which was supported by tutorial systems where all student has to follow it. Students’ aspirations to comprehend the religious sciences, to practiceit, and to obey it are believed to be achieved through the PAI learning system runing in UPI. Their worries just come from theirselves. According to them, the PAI learning had run well and comformed with their expectations. Keywords: Learning, Islamic education, university, UPI Bandung Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan kecenderungan aspirasi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mengambil kasus mahasiswa FIP UPI angkatan 2015/2016. Proses penelitian berlangsung selama tiga bulan (Oktober-Desember 2015). Hasil peneltian menunjukkan, bahwa pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di UPI berjalan searah dengan berbagai kebijakan pemerintah dan prinsip-prinsip teori kependidikan yang bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan calon tenaga pendidik yang sesuai dengan motto UPI ilmiah, edukatif, dan religius. Melalui pendekatan pembelajaran integratif multi ranah yang diterapkan di UPI dengan berbagai ragam model dan pendekatan pembelajaran telah membangkitkan antusiasme mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan wawasan dan pengalaman keagamaan yang sangat dinamis dan terbuka. Perkuliahan PAI tidak hanya di ruang-ruang kuliah saja, tetapi juga di masjid dan UKM-UKM, dengan dukungan sistem tutorial yang wajib diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa. Aspirasi mahasiswa mendapatkan ilmu agama serta mampu mengaplikasikan dan menaatinya diyakini dapat tercapai melalui sistem pembelajaran PAI yang berjalan di UPI. Kekhawatiran mereka justru pada faktor internal diri mereka sendiri. Mereka menilai pembelajaran PAI telah berjalan sesuai dengan harapan dan keinginan mereka. Abstract

This research aimed to know the context, input, process, and product of religious art extracurricular at the State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 8 Jakarta. This research used the case study method with the evaluation research model CIPP that it was developed by Stufflebeam and his friends. The CIPP evaluation model included four components, they are context, input, process, and product. The results of this research showed that there was no legal rule of religious art extracurricular activities in context component. In the input component, there were schedule, administration requirements of trainers, academic calendar of religious art extracurricular activities in medium category. In the process component, there were trainers’ smart in learning method on medium level, but there was no indicator on medium category in the product component. By the other words, there was only high category in product component. Keywords: Extracurricular education, religious art education, CIPP, MAN 8 Jakarta Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konteks, input, proses, dan produk ekstrakurikuler seni keagamaan yang ada di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 8 Jakarta (MAN 8 Jakarta). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus (case studies), dengan model riset evaluasi CIPP yang dikembangkan Stufflebeam dan kawan-kawan. Evaluasi model CIPP terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu: context, input, process, dan product. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan, bahwa pada komponen konteks terdapat landasan hukum kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni keagamaan yang belum ada, pada komponen input terdapat perencanaan atau penjadwalan, persyaratan administrasi pelatih, dan kalender akademik kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seni keagamaan berada pada katagori sedang. Pada komponen proses, terdapat penguasaan metode pembelajaran oleh pelatih berada pada katagori sedang, dan pada komponen produk tidak terdapat indikator yang sedang, atau dengan kata lain pada komponen produk, penilaian yang didapat, yaitu pada katagori tinggi. Abstract

This research presented the research results of the campus activists’ Islamic readings at Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) Bandung. In particular, the active students who became a member and commite of the students’ religious organization at UNPAD campus.This was a qualitative research with descriptive-analysis design to describe Islamic activists’ reading materials at UNPAD. This research used the opened interview and literature study in collecting data. The data were analyzed based on the field data as the results of opened interview and literature study. The content analysis were used to analyze the content of campus activists’ reading namely the title, author, subject matter, and language categories. Whereas, the discourse analysis were used to analyze the substance of research literatures. All literatures would be identified, be inventoried, and be analyzed to know its characteristics, tendencies, purposes, and discourses. The results of research showed that the religious reading materials that its had been read and studied by UNPAD Islamic activists’ were many variations. Not only they used from printed resources but also from soft resources. From this writing context point of view, based on their religious reading literatures, the campus activists could be divided into three typologies. First, the activist students at university level; second, the activist students at faculty level, and third, the activist students at religious external organization. Keywords: Religious reading, campus activist, reading behavior, student Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian mengenai bacaan keagamaan aktivis kampus di Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung, Khususnya mahasiswa yang aktif, baik sebagai anggota maupun pengurus dalam organisasi keagamaan di kampus UNPAD. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif dengan rancangan deskriptif- analitis, yang ingin mendeskripsikan bahan bacaan aktivis keagamaan Islam di kampus UNPAD. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara terbuka dan studi pustaka. Analisis data dilakukan berdasarkan bahan-bahan dari lapangan, berupa hasil wawancara terbuka dan studi pustaka. Analisis isi digunakan untuk menganalisis ‘isi’ literatur bacaan aktivis kampus, yaitu: judul, pengarang, bidang kajian, dan kategori bahasanya. Sedangkan analisis wacana digunakan untuk menganalisis substansi literatur kajian. Literatur-literatur yang ada diidentifikasi, diinventarisasi, dan dianalisis untuk mengetahui karakteristik, kecenderungan, arah, dan wacananya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa bahan bacaan keagamaan yang dibaca dan dikaji oleh aktivis keagamaan Islam UNPAD, baik dilihat dari tema maupun perilakunya sangat bervariasi, selain mengandalkan sumber cetak juga menggunakan sumber Jaringan Internet (daring). Di samping itu, aktivis kampus dalam konteks tulisan ini dilihat dari literatur bacaan keagamaan terbagi menjadi 3 (tiga) tipologi, yaitu: pertama, mahasiswa yang aktif di tingkat universitas; kedua, mahasiswa yang aktif di tingkat fakultas, dan ketiga, mahasiswa yang aktif di tingkat organisasi lembaga eksternal keagamaan. Abstract

This was a qualitative research which used the humanistic approach. There were some problems of the research, they were the existence of Sadhar Mapan Foundation in keeping the Java heritages since Majapahit empire, the existence of Sadhar Mapan as Hindu subdivisio, and the social impacts of Sadhar Mapan on both Hindu internally and other religions externally, specially in Surakarta City and around it. This research found that the Sadhar Mapan as a subdivision of Hindu in Indonesia had developed the spritual ways but It did not omit the kejawen traditions. Futhermore, the Sadhar Mapan Foundation gave the new variant and built the networking with Hindu followers internally and with other religion followers externally. Penelitian ini menemukan, bahwa Sadhar Mapan sebagai bagian integral umat Hindu di Indonesia mengembangkan jalan spiritual dengan tidak meninggalkan tradisi-tradisi kejawen, memberi corak varian tersendiri dan dapat menjalin kerjasama, baik dengan internal umat Hindu maupun umat lainnya.
